I guess grinding time should increase quadratically to the diameter (quadratically more cross section to grind through). So if 14mm is 16% more than 12mm, then cross section is 36% more, so 40% more cutting time indicates similar metal quality.

Obviously it’s difficult to put a solid figure behind it when there are many uncontrollable factors at play.
Nice. I got the Sold Secure "Diamond" rated Master Lock 8278. Maybe the strongest, cheapest, and lightest Diamond rated Bike lock on Earth. Yes, I realize it's not as great as the Hiplock or Litelok angle grinder resistant locks, but it's solid enough for me at the moment.

Great choice, the 8278 is one of our favourite cheap bike locks, great value for such a secure lock.
