Those who've watched the channel for a long time will know this background well - the upstairs of Carson's childhood home where we spent countless hours rehearsing and recording videos during high school. The room hasn't changed much, and I suppose in some ways, we haven't either. Here's a Dylan tune we've played for a long time.

Recorded live. Carson is playing a Journey Instruments FP412, Josh is playing a Martin 000-28H. Mic is a Zoom H2; Mixed in Pro Tools.
Filmed on a Canon EOS R with an RF 35mm lens. Edited in Adobe Premiere.

About Josh Turner Guitar
Joshua Lee Turner is a multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer based in Brooklyn, New York. Josh is best known for his UA-cam channel Josh Turner Guitar, where he has been posting eclectic cover performances and original music since he started the channel in 2007 at age 15. Josh now tours internationally in support of his own original music, as well as with long-time collaborator Carson McKee, as the folk duo The Other Favorites. In 2020, Josh released Public Life, his second full-length album of original music.

Carson is one of the few I can hear sing Dylan without feeling that something is lost from the expressiveness of the vocal. Josh is a virtuoso and music seems to flow in his veins. Together they are sublime.

Josh's guitar work in this raises the whole performance to a higher level. Honestly, between your voices, the delicious harmonies, and great guitar work it can't get any better than this. You guys really are the troubadours of this generation. We are privileged to hear your work on this medium.
I’m a Bob Dylan fanatic for 45 years. I’ve seen him 85 times. I don’t like many artists covers of his songs but you guys are fantastic! Nice job

Two kids who's dreams were fostered in this room only to return as artists and sing some Dylan, touches my heart like nothing on UA-cam evercan. This room is filled with nostalgia and hope , I feel it too. Carson and Josh show me music transcends time, space and is something very close to human emotion. Thanks guys you've had a very positive impact in my life and childhood, I cherish it and feel blessed to be a part of your journey:)
I am so moved by the comments while I listen to the music. I’m almost in tears. They can bring peace to a troubled soul for sure. This type of music filled my house when I was young. My mom was always playing these types of songs. She died when I was 32 of cancer. I am now one year older than she was when she died.
@@sleeperno1215 I feel the same way while reading the comments. I am 18 and do not know the pain you are going through but i hope you feel better. While the dilemma of leading an expedient life or a meaningful one troubles me, I sure do get solace when I hear these two, at least for those few precious minutes I feel connected to everything and everyone and I am completely present in the moment. Wow, my brother used to do that song in a band we had in the late 70s. I didn't even know who the artist was back then, it was just called "Easy Chair" on the set sheet. Our version was punched up and rocked those dive bars back in Missouri. Good times. Love your laid back version, that was nice.

I have listened to The Other Favorites since 2020. Discovered them while stuck at home with CoVid19. I really like the clear enunciation of the words in this song. Other folks who have covered this song do not enunciate as clearly as Carson and Josh. Well done guys.
Yes, a ring, a new bride and just great music all the time. I see you are back in Charlotte for this vid-you, Carson, and the new bride make Queen City folk proud-even the expats. Go out to the local fish camp, eat big, and wash it down with cheap beer-it's a great way to celebrate. It's what my Charlotte bride and I use to do 37 years ago. I am a huge appreciator of These two amazing artists! I am also a a 74 year old musician, having played in bands in California from the 1960’s through the 1990’s and still playing solo shows in Texas over the last 20 years. One of my groups in the mid 70’s was a mostly acoustic trio that eventually grew to a full 5 piece band with bass and drums and piano. We did this tune, You Ain’t Going Nowhere and Ramblin Man along with a boatload of other tunes that Josh and Carson have covered as well! They have a very mature appreciation of great music and an abundance of talent to even make it better! Just Sayin!!!
