About Josh Turner Guitar
Josh began making UA-cam videos in 2007. Ranging from popular to esoteric, local to far flung, and playful to serious, Josh’s videos offer a little something for everyone. Josh also performs regularly with long-time collaborator, Carson McKee, as the folk duo The Other Favorites. Josh’s first full-length solo album, As Good A Place As Any, was released in April 2019.

Filmed on a Canon EOS R with a 35mm f.18 lens. Edited in premiere.

This, my friends, is a perfect example of what a good arrangement is. Two instruments that complement each other, they often switch roles between harmony/melody, but they never clash. Their rythmic patters also find a way to be in different regions. Many people try to use two (or more) instruments in a song, and they often end up accenting the same beats, and it makes the whole multi-instrument approach meaningless. This video is awesome.
Layering instruments playing the same rhythm isn't always a bad thing, there is such a thing as layering. This is an amazing arrangment, but not doing what they did is fine too.

Ricky Anthony there is a video by Austin Webber (I believe that’s his name) singing this song in a river in Japan. He made the video because he had planned the trip to Japan with his girlfriend until he found out she cheated on him, so he went with his dad and made a bomb ass cover and video of his antics.

Saw you on Swedish television tonight. A few seconds from this video was in a ABBA celebration program, together with a lot of other clips från youtube artists also singing Mamma Mia. Tonight (April 6 2024) it´s 50 years since ABBA won the Eurovision song contest.
There is something endearing about performers who seem as genuinely delighted by their own musicality, for its own sake, as we are as the audience. It's the whole idea of joie de vivre and it's beautiful to behold.
That always reminds me of the Muppet Show.

I could not agree more. I am addicted. Miraculously and to my glee they were in my small town Wednesday performing in an intimate refurbished music hall. I can't come close to properly describe how exceptional they were. And their humble, fun, engaging, genuine and sincere personalities are every bit what you would expect. My son and I are still savoring the joy of having seen and met them in person.
Because in order to get to that level you have to sell your soul which isnt worth it. These guys are financially free.

My mom loves Abba and listening to their songs reminds me so much of my childhood with my mom doing house chores on Saturday mornings. This was a great cover of this song but I think it’s the first time I stop to actually listen to the lyrics and… is this seemingly upbeat and happy song about a toxic relationship?

He's a guitarist, and I'm an aspiring singer (in musical theater) and I have to say that you two are truly some of the biggest inspirations I've had in my young life. I like ABBA but I'm not a huge fan. However, I like your version of this classic better than the original. You two are terrific together, all the years I've been following this channel, the times when you two play together are often my favorite.
