- Happy New Year, everyone! I know that sometimes this turn of a page can feel weird as we reflect on our resolutions from last year and realize that perhaps not all were fulfilled. But I hope that, primarily, you're feeling ready and energized to face 2023, and have been able to congratulate yourselves for the victories of 2022. Very much agree. Dylan resists being covered, but these guys clearly get it & know how to harness the energy of the originals.
@@GrantLeeEdwards Resists being covered... Really -- you think so? I guess I know what you mean. Dylan's stuff is easy to cover, in an "average" way, but to cover Dylan like _this_ -- the way Carson & Skylar have done it, NOT EASY.
@@belascialoja4812 Resists being well covered, yes. Judging by the many covers I’ve heard that seem flat, like the artist doesn’t quite appreciate a chosen song’s depth.

Yep. Very few people can cover a Dylan song adequately but you two can do it. Seeing how you tackled it also makes Dylan's original more amazing to me at any rate.

Beautifully rendered. I'm continually amazed by the depth and flexibility of Dylan's simple-seeming lyrics (though perhaps I could have forgone the ritual citation of Verlaine and Rimbaud). Great, great performance. Skylar's voice seems to have a slightly deeper colour than Carson's but they are a good pairing. Thanks for this. Good start to 2023.
