Infant annihilator isn’t death metal
I was very touched by Don Tardy. He doesn’t just donate his money or image, he spends his time and energy trapping feral cats and ensuring they get vet care and are spayed/neutered. He doesn’t just release them, though, he continues to feed and check on the released cats. That’s hard work. I have a lot of respect for his compassion.
I love how the band's names doesn't match the situations AT ALL!

It's still strangely wholesome to see Corpsegrinder get overexcited about the possibiliy of showing off a farting toy and then seeing his disappointment when it doesn't work. Also, I kind of wonder if he has that toy at home or if he uses the toys at Target as a regular routine with cathartic and soothing effect.

Learn things in unexpected places. I think that was from another Loudwire video where they presented Behemoth with the metal album of the decade. Nergal interludes with tips on cooking, a trip to an art museum, and a visit to one of his barber shops. Worth a watch.

I agree. Had the privilege of hanging out with the guys from CC while organising a gig here in Bangalore, India, back in 2015. Them and Suicide Silence are incredibly close and they're some of the most chill dudes I've had the privilege of meeting.

Most livestock animals are treated really bad. Most people don't know how bad or they would look at things differently.

I'm glad you're aware of how animals are treated though. Most people still don't care when they know about it. They rather turn a blind eye and say "that's just the way things are" and "animals are food" and "lions tho".

I love animals but I accept the fact that I must eat them and they must eat each other too.
The only animals I treat with a callous disregard are cockroaches. I kill many of them and while I don't go out of the way to make them suffer, I don't let it bother me if they do. And I certainly would never eat one!

A kid I worked with was super sweet, quiet, and the youngest one on the team. He told us he was in a band and invited us to a show. How TF can that sweet and adorable kid be the lead singer of a death metal band! He was good at it too!!!❤️
I literally GIGGLE when around goats sometimes, as an over 6 foot tall bloke with double muscling, and nonetheless quite enjoy singing black metal and sometimes melodic deathcore or metalcore. I may have seriously gothic attire, but nonetheless a Tony Tony Chopper phone case.

I don't think it's an accident, I think it's because they have a healthy outlet for the weirdness and messed up stuff that everyone thinks about, but instead of suppressing it they have a healthy outlet for it rather than pretending they're good people all day and then taking their lives out on their wives or whatever BS you hear about far too often.

Reminds me of when I saw Gojira in concert back in 2019. Part way through the set the band stopped b/c a kid had a seizure in the pit. Joe, the vocalist, was directing those of us who couldn't see to step out of the way for the medics, and I think the show stalled for 20 or so minutes. The band looked worried b/c a kid could have potentially died, but we all kind of waited for him to come back (30 minutes total iirc). Once we saw the kid come back, everyone started chanting for the band and I swear that the vocalist had tears in his eyes. Great show, and really shows off how much metal fans and musicians actually care about people.
That last guy is living his best life. Helping cats, and playing Death Metal. What a guy.

It is angry music. But in a cathartic way. Those guys are able to be so wholesome because they get all the anger they have built up out in a safe way thru their music.
It is angry music so you can be a good person the other parts of your day and life because you have a healthy outlet for it.

Covid has really messed up my therapy which was to got to metal gigs. Metal heads in mass gatherings are kind and gentle. They protect the vulnerable ones in the pit, they are polite and introverted. I love the atmosphere. Beautiful people.

Over the years I realized looking at my idols and people around me that people in metal scene are far more often very empathetic, towards people and animals, than your average people encounters. I have this theory going that people who care more end up with metal far more often, perhaps due to traumas or just finding beauty in places where people usually don't. And having experienced losses and emotional pain more often/more likely, resonating with the music as well.
Devin Townsend is also one of those guys that just kills it. Plushies on the stage and whatnot.

Another thing some people misunderstand are mosh pits. We aren't there with a purpose of violently hurting and maiming each other. Its a release in a community-controlled environment. There are outliers but for the most part, if someone falls, we pick them up. If someone looks ill, we get them help. It is an understanding within the crowd that we're all just here to enjoy some music and let out some pent up energy.
Corspegrinder is one of my favorite people in metal. He's so hard to not like.

When I was young and visited DM concerts and festivals, my parents were concerened about the people there. Now I have kids and I'd love to see them going to metal festivals cause I know, that these are one of the safes places to be. This music is listened by the finest, most humble and peaceful people one could imagine. Love it!
