The jacks rock. Mine 7.62x39 was gassed perfect right out of the box. Dead nuts straight with the sight. The chamfered barrel bullet guide is a great touch. Tie with my favorite ak in my collection. Awesome!!
Agreed on all counts! I took the Jack out to the range and the zero only required 1 one turn on the front sight post using Rob Ski's method with Vympel 7.62x39. Windage was perfect from the factory with the drum centered.
Such a beautiful weapon, should get mine tomorrow, minus the rail. Definitely looks quality, great video, well presented and detailed information! Appreciate it!
Most gorgeous AK available. My only gripe is the black pistol grip. Really wish it was matching/semi-matching color to the wood. Yeah, can get a replacement grip, but I like it when things are kept simple.
I can not think of a better option for your money right now than a WBP Jack. The overall quality out of the box was excellent. I had the opportunity to take it to the range and was very impressed with how it was gassed. It was obvious WBP zeroed it at the factory as it only required minimal elevation adjustment with Vympel 124gr 7.62x39.
I installed the same Polish furniture on my rifle, first thing I did after fitting it was to stain it in an iodine rit die formula. The wood looks good naked but it's just too blond and bright for a military weapon.
just picked up mine from my dealer a few days ago, red stock version with the rail, 7.62x39, ordered it through Arms of America since AFA said they couldnt ship it to my home state of jersey, as it was not compliant due to having both a threaded barrel and bayonet lug in addition to the pistol grip, though some folks on reddit say I couldve emailed them to ask em to "unlock" it for me. The thing with the mag is consistent with their stated policy, which says they wont do any sort of pinning or compliance work on the mag nor swapouts as they say there are too many state and local laws to keep track of and they cant be bothered dealing with it, and will simply ship it without a mag in the event the 30 rounders arent legal where you are, conversely, AOA will either pin it themselves for a little extra, remove it upon request, or ship it as is for your dealer to figure out, I chose to remove it as I didnt want the plastic mag, ended up ordering some polish steel surplus mags and had them pin em for me. she is a beauty, wood seems sorta cheap and almost resembles plastic but I think it still looks good and it feels nice enough in the hand, grip interestingly is smooth wood unlike the textured plastic one shown here, dont really care tho since I will be swapping that out for a rubber hogue, and the buttstock also doesnt have the trapdoor for the cleaning kit. The recoil is a bit harsher than I expected, atleast compared to my yugo sks, but then again this shouldnt be that surprising as it's a much lighter gun being a stamped reciever with a shorter barrel, and also that slant break probably doesnt help matters much either, trigger feels pretty nice too. Also kinda found the bolt and carrier tricky to reinsert with the dust cover, kinda prefer my sks in that regard, with that tilting bolt and seperate gas piston (sks is short stroke, ak is long stroke with a rotating bolt) I find are much simpler. already ordered a few upgrades for it such as the enhanced safety lever and mag release, really hoping I can do that myself and wont have to have my dealer install it. I was gonna have my dealer put a nice titanium mini comp from slr rifle works on it but it would seem they sent me one for the wrong caliber, as the threading is too big and would require a sleave of some kind be used with it, unfortunately it seems that by the time the gun arrived at my dealer I was already past the 30 day refund window, and they didnt respond to my email inquiry about it, so probably gonna opt for some other model from some other seller or brand even.
