Definitely the best-looking AK on the market.
Agreed, out of the box in the current market its one of the standards to beat. Thanks for watching!
Easily, and still is!
haven't even watched the video yet lol but the WBPs are legitimately great, and the price is pretty reasonable compared to other options on the AK market (SLRs, Arsenals) so it's a worthy purchase. The finish is great, the bolt and bolt carrier are machined from CHF steel and are smooth as can be, and the wood furniture is fantastic, reinforced with big pins.
Agreed. They are a great price for value option in the current market, all things considered. Thanks for watching!
This is a well made video to help me make my decision on purchasing one of these. Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching, I'm glad it helped you make a decision. I'll keep uploading update videos after each 1k round count. You tell us how yours is running too!
I bought same rifle, great build quality, nice furniture. Also I purchased orange grip, cleaning kit, sling and bayonet all from Poland. If you want to get into AKs this is the one you want to get
Good choice there. Thanks for watching!
@@romeoquach300 do they sell this furniture anywhere? Beautiful rifle. How do you like it nowadays?
@@wcsdiaries You can find complete WBP wood furniture sets like this online on Arms of America, or through Atlantic Firearms. I'm still enjoying it, currently at the ~2500 round count. Slowing down a bit due to school/work but I'll post an update soon.
@@romeoquach300 i think om gonna grab one. How accurate is it roughly?
@@wcsdiaries So far on benchrest with a optic + side rail I'm getting around ~3.5-5 inch groups at 100 yards but thats also because I goofed on setting up the mount correctly. Here the video: ua-cam.com/video/tcSZweRCZvE/v-deo.html&ab_channel=Romeo%27sRifles
I do plan to post another follow up video after the 3000 round mark. Thanks for watching!
Nice :) This eagle is Polish national emblem next to the white and red flag :) Best regards from Poland!
I love the eagle emblem, its badass. Thanks for watching!
Very good review keep posting videos you nentioned the most important points
Just bought a Jack in 556 and Im scowering youtube for videos until it arrives lol. Great video!
Good call with the 5.56 Jack. No issues sending rounds downrange for the next few years for sure.
I've literally been doing the same. Ordered my Jack 5.56 a few days ago and I can't find any videos on it. Heard nothing but good things about the quality of WBP so I'm not worried, but I'm surprised there's nothing on the 5.56 version.
Thanks for the unboxing. Watched a lot of videos with different AKs and WBP Jack 7,62 seems to be very good option to go as first AK. The tactical polymer version is one I'd like to get. Great it has the side rail. Some of AKs does not have them unfortunately.
WBP Jack / Fox is good to go out the box. Huge benefit with the Jack is the ability to accept all the standard aftermarket AKM stocks. Plus the iron sight zero out the box will get you on target - I shot mines outdoor and range steel at 106 yards with no adjustments. Still make sure to fine tune your irons to your ammo. Lemme know if you got more questions, I'll be posting more soon. Thanks for watching.
@@romeoquach300 great, thanks!
Stellar AK and presentation, definitely subbed
Thanks homie. I got some more footage in for the next vid. We passed the 2.5k round count with no issues, still going strong.
Just bought that one today, first AK in my life.
I just ordered one this morning through Atlantic Firearms. It has the red sunburst-color stock and grip. It's one of the most beautiful AKs I've ever seen. Well worth the $1,229 price tag.
Me too, ordered same color on Friday.
@@guinness8878 I figured "buy it while you can", and since they don't come here that often, then I had to pull the trigger. Next month it's going to be a Zastava M70.
@@Vladpryde I’m going after a Zastava M92 next.
@@guinness8878 Yeah, I was thinking about one of those too....the WASR 10 Underfolder looks nice as well, but.....it's a WASR, and I've already got an ugly WASR 10/63, which I made even uglier with Tapco furniture years ago lol. I don't want two rifles with canted sights. 😆
Real nice ,I like the bayonet lug and muzzle brake . I have an old sar-1(99) which I like but I may want another one ,even at 67.
The old SAR-1 rifles are awesome. It's always good to have a spare AK on hand for range trips when you don't feel like bringing out the collectables.
Good video man! I'm looking at the milled mini jack right now, I don't have a milled AK yet and that's a good SBR candidate as well.
Yep, get that milled mini jack for a nice and compact sbr backpack gun. Thanks for watching!
I just got one of these not too long ago, courtesy of AOA, originally was gonna go for the Serbian Z-M70 aka the Yugo AK, due to the cheaper price, but since the Jack was on sale for not that much more, and that the videos I had seen comparing the two suggested the Jack was of overall better build quality, I went with the jack, in beatiful red wood color (the grip is also wooden on this version, however the buttstock lacks the trapdoor for a cleaning kit, also the rear sling swivel is on the side ), and without the mag since I wanted steel mags instead of the standard plastic one, figured I might as well since I needed to have it pinned to 10 rounds anyway, also had to have the break welded and the bayonet lugs ground off as per compliance laws in my state. So far I've put a a couple hundred rounds through her, enough to break er' in, shoots like a breeze tho the recoil was definitely was a bit jarring after shooting my yugo M59/66A1 SKS (that thing barely moves, lol). So far I have upgraded her with a slip on rubber butt pad, a rubber hogue pistol grip, stock pouch, WBP enhanced safety lever, and viking tactical wide padded sling w/ magnetic retention strap. It's a pitty that the top cover isn't ribbed to complete that authentic AKM look, considering it's a matching serialized part. Overall very satisfied with it.
Great rifle and great review!
Thank you for watching!
Good video-- I'm waiting for them to get back in stock so I can do a review on a WBP Jack. -Subbed!
Atlantic mentioned on some forums they are expecting another shipment before the end of the year. Thanks for watching!
I might get one of these next. I bought a m70 a while back. I think 1500 is a little high for an AKM but if their reputation is correct, I think ide have no issue paying that. This gun looks pretty solid. Looks very nice
Especially with the $100 discount right now at Atlantic, now's a good time to grab one if you wanted. Thanks for watching!
*3rd click of the Safety* ATF Agent: "This is a nice video, whats your po box again?"
Get these NOW while they're affordable and most importantly, still being imported! $999 is a dam good deal for this quality on an imported AK in the year 2024.
Agreed, at $1000 usd its a really good price. I still recommend this and the M70s, whatever you prefer but get an AK. Thanks for watching!
Also hearing psa is planning to produce steel case 7.62x39 I pray that it’s good enough to stack deep. Great video I was just wondering if it was all forged. Thanks man
Thanks for the reply homie. I'm with you too, hoping PSA actually pumps out 7.62 but I'm not expecting anything at least through 2023. KUSA also posted stuff on IG about their own brand of 7.62, wasn't sure if they were importing re-branded Russian stuff or actual domestic made ammo. We shall see.
@@romeoquach300 awesome didn’t know that about KUSA. Hope all that goes well we need it lol.
@@jibletjibletstein8040 instagram.com/p/Caa_NI2Pj5o/
@@romeoquach300 kusa is rebranded. Not made here.
best import aks there are, i have the milled mini jack, top notch
The milled options from WBP are pretty sweet. Thanks for watching!
😂 we have that kind of checklist at work. i just check in the block and call it good.
I just got one. Haven't shot it yet. Also have a Zastava M70 maple. New to AKs.
I have both. I like them both equally it would be a coin flip to which I like more. They both throw lead like a boss.
Good video. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Very nice
Thanks for watching!
Excelente WBP FOX
Thanks for watching!
Yep, only thing I did to mine was add an original Polish bakelite grip.
Nice, same here. Going to keep it stock pretty much forever. Thanks for watching.
Wow thats a gorgeous ak imagine if i can own guns in my country damn
I wish you could too. Everyone should have an AK, or a fighting rifle. No questions. Thanks for watching.
Just ordered the Jack 556.
Good choice there. 5.56 AKs are the most practical option in the current market. Better to have an AK you can shoot and buy ammo for. Thanks for watching!
Palmetto State Armory is probably the best American manufacturer of AKs there is. They had a bumpy start, but they got the kinks worked out and they even offer import build kits.
If I had to go American I would chose PSA too. I have one of their AK105s coming in soon hopefully. Thanks for watching!
Century Arms makes a better AK than PSA. Ever seen the BFT47?
I’ll be keep my eye out for one
If you can this or even the Fox or any of the WBP models they will serve you well. Thanks for watching!
@@romeoquach300 yea if I’m able to find them I’m also looking at other ak47 as I go
How you liking it?? Just ordered mine today from arms of America and I’m so excited!!
I'm really digging it. Just took it out for functions test and basic zeroing. So far I'm getting about 2.5 to 3.5 MOA with 5 round groups using just Barnaul 124g and Midwest industry mount but I'll do some more testing with other ammo too, golden tiger, wolf, etc. Rifle is gassed well, not over gassed where you noticed its really bad. Will post more vids soon once I edit them. Thanks for watching.
@@romeoquach300 nice!!! what optic you running? And please let me know how golden tiger does... thats mainly what i have in my 7.62 stockpile
@@johnzeidman8862 Right now I'm using a simple SWFA 12x 30mm on medium rings and the Midwest industries mount. I'll do a full vid with groups soon.
do you know if the jacks siderail with fit russian optics? the one on my fox was too small for a kobra but my my buddys wasr fit it no problem
Technically it should fit since the side rail is modeled for standard AKM/soviet optics rails. I'll be honest I don;t have any OG Russian/Soviet optics and mounts to test. I know for sure when you use modern US mounts (Midwest Industries, RS Regulate, etc) they fit on tight, plus they fit on tight. Make sure to slide the rail on from the side in 1 smooth direction, push it as far back as you can before u tighten it. A portion of the rear mount can stick off the rail a bit but it shouldn't be alot. Plus if you tighten down enough that mount ain't moving for sure. Hope you find a solid solution. Thanks for watching.
Good video bro! I like the classic wood furniture, not the polymer kind. I’m an AR guy, but always wanted an AK. what state are you in? How much was your total cost? And where did you get it? Thanks
Unfortunately I'm in WA state for now. Got this through Atlantic Firearms for $1300 before tax/shipping. Thanks for watching!
@@romeoquach300 Hope you are ordering up some magazines before July 1st.
@@ThePitGoJoe I've been stocked up since 2013. More worried for the new guys getting into shooting sports. I anticipate people making alot more day trips to Oregon and Idaho. Thanks for watching!
how you liking it so far? been wanting to pick one of these up.
Still enjoying it! Im working on hitting the 3k round count before I post an update, currently at ~2500 and running strong. No deformations on the bolt face, no weird wear patterns or any rust. All running smooth. I think these are on sale for $100 off of the regular $1300 which was what I got mine for a few months back. Thanks for watching!
Thumbs up for correctly calling it an AKM and not incorrectly calling it an AK47
Appreciate that! It's important to share good correct info whenever we can. Got to do these guns some justice. Thanks for watching!
@@romeoquach300 in the 1980’s when the Egyptian Maadi’s and the Kassnar imported Hungarian rifles started coming into the country, they both said AKM right on the box. How and why Americans started calling them AK47’s is anyones guess. It is uniquely American, I haven’t seen this anywhere else.
technically it's neither, as it's a clone, as that's the only thing keeping it legal in states that ban the AKM and AK47 by model name like CA and NJ. Also apparently NY specifies any AK47 variant made by a specific list of manufacturers as being banned by name, of which WBP is not listed, so i guess that techninally makes this legal there? Idk, blue state laws make zero sense.
Hermosa ARMA
Great video man ! How are you liking it ? I’m thinking buying a jack with the polish furniture. I heard it comes with a American piston tho . Did you change yours out ?
So far its really solid. I have a 3k round follow up video in the works, just taking alot of time gathering the footage and processing. The Polish furniture model (classic) comes with US piston but theres zero issue with it. Some people buy an extra polish BCG and drop in their bolt just for the 100% polish but honestly its not needed. Thanks for watching!
@@romeoquach300 I hear you man ! Can’t wait to see the video and that’s really good . I went and bought one from Atlantic so it should be here soon . Which name brand ammo do you use with the jack ?
@@ElMikey225th right now the 7.62x39 market is pretty bad. I'm mostly shooting through Tula and BVA/vympel that I collected over the years. In the current market you got to get whatever you can find, until domestic production (PSA) ramps up.
@@romeoquach300 yea I’m noticing I really can’t find anything besides wolf really . What do you think about wolf?
Why is it that the three reviews I have seen on these rifles it looks like the stock does not mate up to the receiver body completely and also to the back plate on the stock. There appears to be a gap between the wood of the stock and the receiver or the metal back plate on the stock.
Great question! This is actually the way it is suppose to be. The wood (or polymer) stock suffers from increase risk of cracks and damage if seated flush and tightly to the receiver. Having about 1-2mm of gap space solves this issue. I know its bizarre but this solution works, and the same gap appears when I placed my original Soviet Tula wood stock set on my other AK kits. If you search this on AK forum there are some people who go in depth into this exact thing. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Does it take double stack mags? I remember reading somewhere they were originally made for single stack
Takes double stacked/standard AK mags 100% for sure. I may have done a bad job explaining in the video, but from my understanding these imports come in the magwell cut for single stack, then here in the US the finishing cuts/work is done to make the magwell take double stack. All the work is done properly as I can't even tell anything was done when I look into the mag well which is good. Thanks for watching!
@@romeoquach300 nah, you gave a pretty good explanation. I just trying to clarify. I appreciate the response, after reading your comment i went ahead and pulled the trigger on a jack classic from Atlantic. Had to sell my zpap side folder to get the funds but ohwell
Would you happen to know if it’s Parkerized underneath the paint? Thx.
No parkerization underneath. But it's a pretty durable paint finish. I've seen some people in my area get theirs cerakoted.
@@romeoquach300 thanks for the info. For $1,300 they should park before paint IMHO.
@@cliffmorrison1130 Agreed. I would have preferred they parkerized it or at least something more durable then just paint. Even my US built AKs from Lee Armory came cerakoted so it had a shiny "combloc" black finish but still durable.
@@romeoquach300 I think real AKMs are also parkerized under the paint. Paint doesn’t get into the crevices where the metal pieces join like Parkerizing would. Could have rust issues in high humidity areas. In any event good luck with yours looks like a beautiful rifle!
Gas block is cast but no a deal breaker....
Thats true, I had to verify that with Mishaco's review too. Thanks for pointing that out, def not a deal breaker.
You haven’t seen a flimsy box unless you have an Arsenal!
Those flimsy white Arsenal boxes were pretty bad lol. The one for my 104fr was beyond keeping. Thanks for watching!
That bolt carrier assembly is NOT zinc plated it is also hard chrome!
Thanks for the info and for watching!
Do all of your mags have no wobble at ALL ?
Not all, I just prefer to use these ones with little/no wobble. The ones I do know wobble a bit are generally crummy Romanian steel mag, KCI/Korean mags, and some old gen pmags although it doesn't affect function, just annoying. I think its also a mix of mags and rifle too since some mags wobble in my old Polish underfolder kit builds but don't in my WBP. The WASR 1063s had some annoying mag wobble I remember.
@@romeoquach300 Thanks
Does it come with bullets too. Lol
How much did you pay for your polish AK ?
$1300 bucks before tax and shipping from Atlantic. Same price on AoA too. Those are the only two vendors with WBP rifles right now, I don't think that will change.
Is the the classic furniture or the Sunburst furniture?
Classic Polish furniture. Thanks for watching!
Easy way to tell is that the sunburst furniture is a US made set, and will differ in that the pistol grip is wooden, the butt stock lacks the trap door for the cleaning kit, and the rear sling swivel is mounted on the left side rather than on the underside. This also applies to the red version.
You mentioned that the rifle was made in the US. Last I checked on it, they're import rifles, and are converted here after being imported by Arms of America.
He never said that
Yeah I might have misspoke, I meant to say that these are imported then completed/converted in the US (cutting out the mag well for double stack mags feeding). Thanks for watching!
Where do you find these at??
Online at Atlantic Firearms or AoA. Still available right now. They come into the country in batches.
how much did you get pay this rifle ?
About ~ $1200 usd. Price has come down a bit since 2022. Thanks for watching!
Nice gun bro… I got my AK from century arms..
Nice! Make a short vid when you can. Always good to see more AK vids from regular guys like us. Thanks for watching!
How about the first order of business; you open the bolt to make sure it is not loaded!!!!
Correct! I did in fact check prior to filming, but this was one of my first UA-cam vids but for all my new vids I check everything on camera. Thanks for watching!
@@romeoquach300 you did a good job filming. Lots of luck with your UA-cam ventures. The AK is an “ art machine”! Love them. So simple but beautiful.
im mad that the 556 is not CHF
Agreed, that was a bit strange considering how they get their chrome lined CHF barrels from FB Radom. Maybe the factor hasn't been set up for 5.56 barrels or something Thanks for watching!
this or the arsenal sam7
Ooof hard choice there. The SAM7s are really nice. The slight weight increase with the milled receivers actually make it more pleasant to shoot. I would definitely consider any of the SAM7 configurations, but the problem is just finding one in stock for a reasonable price. For around ~ $1300 or a little more, go SAM7, but you won't go wrong with the WBP Fox/Jack. If you are ok with Yugo mounts, go ZPAP all the way plus save yourself ~$200 bucks too.
no question the SAM7, if you can afford it. The fox also is great quality. can't go wrong with either but sam is a higher level that some can't justify the cost which is understandable.
@@tommyguns4018 Pretty much sums it up.
I have the Sam7-61, its a great piece but the current prices for the Sam is a bit much. I'm in the market for another AK, my delima is the WBP Jack or the zpapm70? Which is the better AK? The $300 savings on the M70 is mighty attractive.
@@SlickSlack4pac I think as a backup to your current Sam7 having the M70 would be ideal. If you find it for a good price (sub ~ $1000) it would save you some serious money plus have a solid AK for sure. I don't expect Atlantic and AoA to drop their Jack/Fox prices anytime soon. Overall this is the same dilemma alot of us have- WBP vs ZPap vs something else.
Cugir in Romania has been making akm's like this for years. Called a wasr. And cant is part of an ak. But Americans complain. Wbp is just a polish wasr
In the US for $1300 we expect a good product. Mid 2000s WASR 10/63 rifles were pretty solid aside from some cosmetics issues and some cant. Thanks for watching!
Подъем это !!! Лучше русского ак нет ничего !!!! А эти штамповки заедают разваливаются клинят и вообще гавно !!!!!!!!!!!!!! Метал не тот . Это обыкновенная левая копия !
