How to Git Gud in FFXIV using FFLOGS & XIVanalysis (DRK DSR Analysis)

I often got asked how to start and try to git gud on FFXIV. In this guide I try to explain how I usually try to git gud on classes that I know the basics of (like opener, basic rotation) but rather new to optimizing the class/ the fight.

The best way to respect other people's time is to PF+Discord a ✨pre-form✨ group that's on the same page about the speed of the run, the damage expected, and/or the sizes of the pulls being done. It's actually really easy life skill stuff: you build a static using [looks at notes] elementary school level social networking skills
In random matchmaking aka DF, it's BY DESIGN a box of chocolates. It wastes literally everybody's time for speedrunners/optimizers/egotistical-midcores to use random matchmaking instead of just simply ✨pre-forming✨. And even if they choose that, it's dishonest/hypocritical to complain literally every day about the RANDOM quality of RANDOM matchmaking (what was the definition of insanity again?)
It's a shame that so-called "good" players sub-optimize/handicap their own control over their own parties they are bringing into content & then have the AUDACITY to complain about ME disrespecting THEIR time - when THEY'RE the ones so blatantly disrespecting EVERYONE ELSE in the ENTIRE lobbying server by choosing to not pick a lane & stay tf in it
TL;DR: Stop crying in random matchmaking and instead just simply use PF, Discord, social media, etc to pre-form for meta gaming. Duh.

😂 I'll still log better than the vast majority of people obsessed with making-number-go-up. And not even know it, until they pull my logs after having an argument that psychology, sociology, anthropology, & statistics departments at ivy leagues have defended & peer-reviewed & settled for as long as MMOs have even existed.
FFXIV hosts some of the dumbest smart people on the planet, I swear.
If you want to be better at the game you have to have fun, and **rushing through the fun parts** is how you get bad, not gud. It's a shame I even have to explain this, it's practically self-evident.
