100% agree on Pico4 being an awesome headset. The comfort of good balance, combined with wireless sgreaming makes it so fun and convenient to use! I tend to almost exclusively use Pico for all my virtual world exploring, it works great. Great FOV, humongous sweetspot (for me it's almost 80-90% of the screens), great stereo overlap, awesome sound - all of these small things add up to a great product that feels awesome to use.

So im am about to get myself s vr headset going between quest3 and pico 4 for pcvr only. The quest retails for 6990 sek while yhe pico is 4600sek which should i go with

I bought a Pico 4 used in USA for $210+ tax and shipping $260. I fly MSFS 2020 pretty much exclusively and this headset keeps surprising me how good it is. Comfortable, solid feeling, I use a AMVR headstrap with silicon gasket making it float over your face. Ethernet to USB-C VD charging while you play is a feature that makes a big difference. $50 for USB-C Cable, dongle and cat 6 cable Beats Buying a Wifi 6 or 6E router. Used Pico 4 in Europe 250euro readily on market vs $500+130 elite strap etc... No brainer.

I've always thought vertical vof are more important than horizontal vof, finally someone confirmed it. You never hear anyone talk about it.

Great take, Arthur! For me personally, I prefer the earlier Pico Neo 3 Link. It does standalone like the 4 but also has a dedicated PCVR via its DP cable. Never felt any headset that could do both amazingly well for the price range. Sold my Pico 4 as missing the DP was unsatisfactory.
Pico Neo 3 Link is great, I use it form time to time, but Pico 4 is a king in terms of ergonomics and better optics

I wish this headset was available to buy in the US last year, I just bought a Quest 3 512 GB with the Elite Strap with battery recently, I like the design of the Pico 4, it looks like a nice headset that comes with a good quality headstrap, for the price it doesn't seem to be a bad deal at all, but I'm happy with my Quest 2 and 3 for now

Really wanted to watch this video. The music was just too much. Distracting to the extreme. So I left.
I've been using my Quest 3 for a week now, out of the box, it's outrageously uncomfortable due to the cloth strap, I've since gotten the retrofit kit for my BoBoVR M2 strap, now the Quest 3 is very comfortable. Both the Pico 4 and the Quest 3 have their advantages and disadvantages. For me, the thing I hate the most about Meta HMDs is needing to use that pain in the butt phone app to do anything to the HMD, like time change, factory reset, etc. This is all in the HMD menus on the Pico 4.
As for the optics, I like the Quest 3 better, edge to edge clarity and a bit bigger FOV than Pico 4. Built in audio, I have to give this one to Pico 4, it has better onboard sound, seems a little punchier than Quest 3, Quest 3 is quite a bit better audio wise than Quest 2.
Passthrough color quality is very close between the two, but the Depth sensor of the Q3 makes it easier to use, easier to judge where items in the real world are.
Battery life is subjective, if you have passthrough on all the time with the Q3, it'll drain your battery quickly since the HMD has to use the Depth sensor and the passthrough cameras all the time.
For PCVR, I much prefer the Q3, might be the XR2 Gen2 chip can decode faster but in something like racing sims (distance viewing), the Q3 is really good for compression affecting the display quality, with Link Cable (settings need to be modded with Debug Tool) and with Virtual Desktop over wifi.
I also find the colors in the Q3 pop more than in the Pico 4.
For my use case, I prefer the Quest 3 but still love my Pico 4.

Pico 4 is good but when my aquest 3 arrived I not even near pico 4. Quest 3 is miles better than pico 4. The meta librery alone is a reason I go for quest 3.
If you have money to upgrade - yes. If not - Pico 4 is still a perfect headset.
