I love that there's a more affordable option. I don't get why people are pushing back against it. It's good for VR and even Quest 3 owners who want more support for the headset they paid for. It's been statistically proven that when prices go down on VR headsets sales go up. The Quest 2 outsold the Quest 3 for a reason. The PSVR2 sales shot up when the price went down. Plus, people are acting like they didn't know what the 3S would be and are suddenly surprised when the headset leaked months before its announcement. If you can't afford or justify the price of the Quest 3 get on board with the 3S you won't be disappointed! 😁
Totally agree, I think it's a great deal - especially when you consider it's literally the same price as the Quest 2 but with massive upgrades. I believe the Quest 3S is Meta's attempt to get mixed reality to the masses, and drive the industry forward. Like you said, cheaper headsets sell. All in all a good addition to the Quest lineup I'd say!
Yes. One thing I hate about quest3s is fresnel lenses which really makes it feel more 2d and less real. However, it’s a nice cheaper option to dive into colored mixed reality 😊
@@IntenseVR don't worry you only say that because you experienced the pancake lense. I can't unsee it myself. But for those who havent tried the pancake lense it wont make much difference.

While stock lasts you can still get the Quest 3 128gb and as the 3s is either 299 or 399 then the video is correct. 299 for the 128gb 3s or 499 for the 512gb 3. 200 difference. So it will be 200 or 100 difference between the 3s or 3.
@@SteveODonnell somthing else to bear in mind the 128GB machines - how big is android & meta software add on's,, if they were to take up 28 GB,, you would have 100 GB, sounds alot, but big games take up big memory,,,,, just a thaught
@matthews4159 after the price drop i have been tempted by the 128gb. But here in UK it's now £409.99 for the 128gb and £469.99 for the 512gb. So only £60 more for all that extra storage. Would seem silly not to go for the larger capacity now.
The quest is for children. The games are for children.
Who let bro cook?
Then you're a child.
Yes it is and being children is fun so it's good thing

I’ve read it already in the comments, just wanted to give my penny and nickel.
The audience that the quest 3s is for is the audience who wants to explore VR for the first time. I had that choice once:Quest 2, Index, that big screened one I forgot about, and others I also forgot. I went with the quest 2, because it’s a cheap way to see if I like it. I have a friend who bought himself a quest 2 after trying mine, solely because he loved it but couldn’t afford the quest 3. Even now he’s wanting to upgrade to a quest 3s, entirely because of the $200 difference between the 128GB and 512GB quest 3. “Save more and get the better one” isn’t the right call when most of the people buying the headsets are spending their own money to try a new hobby. At this point, why buy a precision kit when you can go to college and get a degree in engineering all to get a precision kit for free?
Bah, but I’ve ranted long enough. Sorry to hold the reader here, hope ya enjoy your day.
