- This is my first coin collecting UA-cam video. It's just me opening my very first coin and coin capsule so pardon my noob-like reactions. I simply unboxed it and put it inside the coin capsule. I hope you like it.
Welcome to the GOLD addiction club haha. Silver is fun but Gold is real money
Thanks!
I bought a 50 gram Valcambi gold bar 4 years ago and I just put it in a drawer. Last week I bought a 1 oz maple (2021) and I absolutely love it. You get gold fever when you buy your first gold coin. The bars are great too but the fever begins with the coins 😀
So true
The addiction is real. I bought my fist gold three months ago, a 1/10oz maple. I am up to 2.75 oz so far. I can’t stop! Oh and 200 oz of silver as well.
There are worst addictions out there. NOTHING wrong to be addicted to saving for you future.
I started in 97’. I’m at 3,000oz of silver and 82oz of gold. Just keep stacking ✌🏼
Just got my first 1/10 this week. Already super excited to move up to 1/4, 1oz... At least it's not a gambling addiction right?!!
@@DyingDarkLight been there done that lmao
*Sweet coin, welcome to the Family Brother!!!* 🏆🥇🥇🥇
Just came across this and wanted to say way to go! I started stacking gold and silver when the pandemic started and have never looked back. I am in the US and stack mainly us bullion. But your video has me wanting to order a gold maple. Stack on!✌️
Right on! 👍
You did well; congrats on your marvelous purchase. Maple leafs are the most beautiful.
That is a very nice coin you have there. Maple leafs are one of the best coins on the market. Congratz
Looking forward to see more from you!
Right on man!!! I have a nice stack of silver but want to get some gold as well.
Keep on stacking!!
Great start
Good on you, 1st step towards a better tomorrow. I only could ever afford 1/10oz gold eagles 🤘🏻🙏🏻
Just found your channel and subscribed. Enjoyed this video. A beautiful coin to start off your gold stack !!!
Thanks for the sub!
Nice looking coin
My favourite is Canadian gold also; great purity! 😍
So good!
I'm in love with the one ounce Canadian gold bar 2022.
I have purchased my 1oz gold maple leaf about 3 months ago nice purchase.
I got mine last week because of this video. I had to order a capsule separately because I forgot. Such a nice piece of gold
1/4oz is my choice for Gold coins too. I have a Maple Leaf, an Amercian Eagle, some Krugerands, some Philharmonics and Britannia's. The 24 carat ones look *GREAT* ❤
Great start. Keep on stacking.
That's the plan! Thanks for watching.
Doing very well mate.
Welcome Brother!!! Get to know your local LCS and create a good relationship with the owner and you will get good deals and if your Local coin shop is reputable they will even test the coin for you !! I even brought coins from other LCS to one of my main LCS and they even test it for me!!! You can save on premiums if you buy at local coin shops!! Congratulations!!!!
Cheers. Me too just bought my first gold coin few days ago, a Queen beast series 1/4 White horse of Hanover. It's a nice looking coin. Looking forward to add up Britannia 1/4 in the near future
Good choice!
Keep stacking dude
You mentioned in your video that you couldn't find many online Cdn bullion dealers. At the start, I too had some troubles but have since discovered quite a few and have used all of them with success. Here are the ones that I have found and used: Toronto Gold Bullion, TD Precious Metals, Canadian PMX, Silver Gold Express, Bullion Mart, Canadian Bullion, Au Bullion, Border Gold. It's nice to see a fellow Canadian with a precious metals UA-cam channel so keep up the good work!
I would add that Border Gold has one of the lowest premiums. If you live in Vancouver, you can save on the courier shipping fees by directly picking up the bullion yourself.
Wow thanks for the list. I have used TD, Canadian PMX, and Silver Gold Bull so far. I'll check out these other ones you listed.
The Coin Hunter in Brockville beats sgb for price
Nice and congrats!! My first gold was a Perth Mint Kangaroo 1/10. I was SHOCKED how small it was :-( Looked huge in the picture and had no idea as to the size.
Very cool. I wish to have a Kangaroo one day. The coin that is. Thanks for watching.
That’s like a 10 cents coin
yes they are pretty small because its a dense metal. I bought a 1/10 platinum coin and its even smaller than a dime. The old coins that are 92% gold are a bit bigger because of the added copper but not as shiny
Nice pick up. I just ran across your channel and had to stop by. Well done.
Thanks for the sub!
beautiful.... i just ordered from the same place....also my first gold coin that will be the 1/2 oz.....just waiting for it to arrive.....Cant wait!!
Very cool. I've had good experience with them so far. Good luck.
you handled it like a pro.
Gold is awesome. Keep collecting
Thank for the comment.
Very Nice 👍👍
Nice!
100% cotton gloves is a must when handling coins and bullion.
Sd Bullion offers some pretty good deals!
I was always told with gold; it can pretty much be handled however you prefer, no major degradations if your just stacking ozs
Great investment as an asset. Welcome to the community. Much to learn. Much is available on UA-cam with very informed, experienced stackers. With anything , your time researching is as valuable as that asset purchased. Make sure you can clearly answer the “why” in your investment. Everyone is different and has different reasons. Thanks for sharing.
Much appreciated! I'm still asking myself why I'm adding precious metals to my portfolio. Thank you for your insight.
Nice one. Great vid. 👍
...don't you just love a capsule fart!
LOL I've never heard that one before. Good one.
Picked up a couple of the 1/4 oz Maples earlier this year . They are great looking coins. I thought long and hard about taking them out of the original packaging . Finally decided to put them in the black foam capsules. They show so much better and I'm sure much better protected. Hoping for a dip to purchase a couple more or a couple of the 1/4 oz 2021 gold Britannia .
If the packaging is pvc, then you need to remove them anyway, to avoid pvc damage to the coin.
Wonderful I am from india, I trust gold and silver. I am proud to say I am also a stacker
Congrats you can’t go wrong with a GML.
Good on you and keep buying
That's the plan!
I am trying to figure out its size before buying for a jewelry piece. I am wondering is it a quarter size or dime?
I bought the same coin , but my coin is a half ounce, do you know who minted these fine collectable coins ? I put mine in a safety deposit box and I love going to the box now and then to look at my collection as I’m on a journey collecting coins and bars my next buy will be an ounce gold bar then I’ll buy a 1/4 oz coin ha ha ain’t I the cool kid on the block all the best thanks for making this video my good man :)
Congratulations hope you have now bought your 2nd.
I sure did, and thank you.
Do you pay tax on it at all if you sell
People buy gold because they want to own their investment and hold it psychically it is yours touch it feel it. Doing so won't depreciate the value of your gold.
I am new, also. I have some 1/4's + i/2 oz' gold coins and many 1 oz silver eagles and maples. I also have constitutional silver 90% coins.
For Canadian customers TD bank has the best prices. You can get it shipped right to your bank. You know it’s legit and will get there safely. They have free shipping over 100 dollars. 😉
Did they have signature required on delivery?
I love capsule farts.
awfully close with the scissors!
I have never gotten a gold coin but I really wanna get one
I noticed some people commented how you’re touching the gold. I also am a newbie and whenever I do buy my first golden coin I wanna touch it a lot haha. Sorry but it’s true.
It’s so irresistible.
When I get a gold coin in a plastic wrap, I leave it there. Some of them will have the mint stamped on the side. I lean toward the maple leafs and kangaroos over the AGEs, largely because of the price difference.
I have a new 2022 1 oz Perth Mint gold Tiger coming. It’s my first gold coin. I already have a 5 oz Lady Fortuna I bought earlier this year. This is the extent of my stack so far. Lol
You must be so excited. Good luck on your journey.
I am surprised you were not wearing new , clean cotton gloves to handle the coin .
Nice 🥰👍
Nice! I've been thinking I need one of these! ;-)
Go for it! Thanks for tuning in.
@@stackingchipmunk6343 Well, I did it finally! Got my 2022 quarter oz ML yesterday. I am surprised how small it looks next to my other quarter oz coins. I think my next will be a Phil or a Brit.
@@stackingchipmunk6343 I like using Direct Fit, so I had to get an A21 to fit better since it is actually smaller than all the other quarter oz gold coins.
God that's pretty
I also just got my first 1oz maple gold coin
That’s great. Congrats!
Better than hoaky silver...Anyone have luck buying silver last May when when it hit $13.00...😂..didn't think so
I kinda wish I started a year ago.
Precious metals are all solid investments provided they are legitimate. Stores of value, and hedges against inflation alike. This goes for Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium etc. While I do admit myself I'm most fond of Gold of them personally. ALL of these beat worthless fiat currency any day of the week 24/7.
Silver is easier to Barter than gold.
Precious metals are special
Congratulations on your first piece. And that’s very nice of your seller to include a piece of chocolate. Some stackers/collectors will wear cotton gloves or at the very least hold the rim of the coin to help keep the coin free of marks.
I'm not an expert, but you just placed the coin in your sweaty palm. Why have the capsule to protect the coin if your gonna handle without gloves?
Push for 100 ounces of gold and more!
I'm already at 75 oz of silver so 100 is the next milestone.
@@stackingchipmunk6343 do Gold instead of silver.
@ PatrickTicman
Everyone does not hate the same goals bro. Or expendable capital, and really have to prioritize, as well as be disciplined enough to receive, well any of the items , We’re speaking of.
So try not to be So intense. And l for one, of many, am really happy for You.
Also l want to show support for All Us stackers, No matter what the metal.
Be it gold and platinum or
Copper and German silver. Or some Chuck E. Cheese coins.
Good Luck ! 🍀
Nice coins. Next time don't tell people it been delivered by parcel.

I appreciate the advice!

By the way. I own one gold coin. Cool Collection
Just dont bite it. I have. You will make a dent haha. Have fun
LOL I have been tempted to do that since I used to see people do it in TV shows.
Try TD Bank
I already have. Thanks for the recommendation.
Hey, I don’t see the small maple leaf , bro….it’s a newer version with the lines…it should have had the small maple leaf just below the big maple leaf
I think I've read that the small maple leaf laser mark you're describing is not found on the fractional coins like this 1/4 ounce piece. To verify, take a look at the pictures of the fractional coins on the online dealer websites.
Yeah , you are right , I found that later....😅
You scared me there but as mentioned by @SH B the security feature is only found on the 1 oz coins.
Hey march 29th is my birthday!
Ah, belated happy birthday then, kind stranger. :)
@@stackingchipmunk6343 why thanks!
You should be wearing cotton gloves when handling it. The oils in your skin can tarnish the gold in time.
Hi, thanks for the tip.
Oh gosh. Gold does not tarnish. It may get dirty but that’s it. Keep gold away from mercury, nitric acid and hydrochloride acids, especially mixing those acids. Other then that, very little will affect gold .
Gold does not tarnish from touch. The only risk in handling comes from the handling itself. 24k gold is soft and easily deformed.
Buy gold from Royal mint but don't buy Silver. Silver have milk spot issues
Noted. I heard even the new Maples can still spot after a while.
@@stackingchipmunk6343 Yup which is why I always advocate everyone to buy Cdn SML because they have Mintshield technology to greatly reduce the chance of milk spots.
@@stormforge68 what does SML stand for?
I think the safest way to buy gold is troughs jewelry on the 18 k to 24 k l
I have one of that .. I want to sale.
They are not “golden” coins, there Gold
if you wear gloves 🧤, you will never be wrong...
It's bullion...Doesn't matter if he doesn't have gloves. If it was a proof/numis then yes.
Thanks for the advice guys.
Yep, bullion doesn’t need gloves. Proof does.
Don't know how old you are, but if you are over 40 YO, you have waited way too
long to buy gold. Canadian gold coins are OK, but US bullion is considered to
have a better reputation, at least internationally.
This is a weird video lol
