Hi Florida, I have 29 of the RCM 10oz bars bought between 2014 and 2018 for CDN$205 to CDN$240. The serial numbers range from 990012308 to 990559126. I see your bars go up to 990904561, so I have some catching up to do. I have quite a few, (31), American 10oz bars, which are mostly vintage, like the 1981 US Assay Office and early Engelhards from the 80's. I agree the RCM bars make the most sense for stackers, but vintage bars are fun, but only if they can be bought as junk bullion.
I have dozens of 5 and 10 oz. silver bars. All I care about is WEIGHT, .999 purity and price over spot. "Looks" are not my prime interest. I never fall in love with my metals, because I will sell them down the road.
Yes they are beautiful bars no doubt. I would store here in Canada for a while. We have the biggest lunatic on earth running the show Klaus Schwab here in Scamada. Canadians have woken up. It will be better soon
The RCM is about $8 above the Sunshine Minting bar. For quality, SMI is one of the best and for security features they are the best. I would go with the SMI bar but it's always good to diversify. The PAMP hand poured is also very nice.
@@floridastacker Very true, however SMI bars are usually cheaper on most of the site locations. JM Bullion sells the SMI bar $1 cheaper than the RCM bar at Liberty Coin. And you are looking at sites like this the type of payment matters as well. I would still go with the SMI bar since it's security feature is the best and cheaper in most sites.
Just received 3 of the 10 oz Britannia today to go along with my RCM bars. They were available at JMB for a very short time and was happy to purchase. The Britannia is a fantastic looking bar. Don't understand the asking price on the secondary markets. Haven't bought any silver in 2021 due to high premiums, but I didn't want these to slip away.
Yes. I really like these and prefer them myself. I do have Sunshine bars as well. They are not as nice but cheaper and good for bulk. While they were still available, I preferred the old Geiger security line. I don't care for their own square bars or those they make for Apmex. Geiger used to sell 100 gram bars in the Security line and I snagged some while they were still available. Yes, you pay more for the Royal Canadian bars but the old Geiger cost more too. My thinking is I'm more likely going to hold on longer to those products I spent more for. I will hold out for a higher spot price before I sell.
I got one of those Canadian 10 oz bars last year and I have to admit it was more beautiful than I thought it would be. I like different designs so I usually only get one of each design that I like. Some of my favorites from last year was the Una and the Lion and the Britannia 10 oz bars from the Royal Mint. I love the unique Silver Gold Bull 10 oz bar also. I love the Geiger bars for their unique square shape.
I like both of these bars. They are lovely. If you're stacking for weight, their premium is too high. I would buy cheaper bars since you'll likely sell for spot price anyway.
Britannia 10on bars are readily available (right now anyway) in Canada. And about 6% cheaper than RCM 10on bars. TD bullion. To save 6% is worth it i.m.o. even though I agree that the RCM bars are nicer with the added features.
It's funny I am a major collector/stacker had no bars and just got 5 of these bars and see your vedio and am very happy with the kooks and all the security and the premium silver in this bar. I don't see another bar on the market I would buy. I like my bullion coins. 🌀
@@floridastacker Yeah, the SMI are really good for two reasons, 1) the anti-counterfeiting feature, 2) the premiums over spot seem to be lower for SMI than others. The SMIs look really good. Although the RCM and Britannia's look really good too.
I don't have many Silver bars myself. I'd like to add some more over the next couple of years and I think these - when spot is lower and premiums are kept somewhat in check are a great option. Nice bars, Jeff.
JDB, you haven't looked at prices lately. RCM Bars were going for $268 at Liberty Coin this morning. Spot is up some on the day. They are $275 currently. While they are maybe .50 cents more per ounce than some poured Silver bars they are right in line with other cast bars.
@@floridastacker 268 is very good. I was looking last week and they where still 285ish. I bought a generic for 256. The scrap of silver I received albeit does say .9999 on it doesn’t compare to RCM in beauty.
Canadian maple leafs carry a much lower premium vs Eagles even though they are .9999 vs .999. Is this solely because of demand and the public not understanding maple leafs are more pure? Also, I have never sold any silver so will most coin shops pay more for Eagles rather than Maple Leafs because they are easier to move or do they view them as pretty equals. Thanks so much!
. 999 are pure enough. 999 is their minimum they are 999+ and probably at least. 9995. There is some. 99999 stuff out there for limited edition commemorative stuff, and it's collector value, otherwise it's worth no more than 999 which is 999+.

Can please share with us where you buy your gloves. Thanks, Azure
10oz. RCM and Johnson Matthey from my LCS are all I've been buying for awhile now.
Great choices!
@@floridastacker 50oz since July 25th. Primed to buy another 5 when spot drops a bit more. I'm keeping them in the wrapper since seeing all the scratches on yours. Great video as always.
I bought a bunch of them a few years ago now. I have plenty and am stacking 1 oz rounds for 'spending' if required.
I have dozens of 5 and 10 oz. silver bars. All I care about is WEIGHT, .999 purity and price over spot. "Looks" are not my prime interest. I never fall in love with my metals, because I will sell them down the road.
Ordered one for my stack today. Got bored with American Eagles. Lol.
Great choice, great bar which I think you will love
Yes they are beautiful bars no doubt. I would store here in Canada for a while. We have the biggest lunatic on earth running the show Klaus Schwab here in Scamada. Canadians have woken up. It will be better soon
I prefer the East India Company 10 oz. silver bar. The company has been around since 1601
Great Silver Bars! Thanks for mentioning them. Nice design and quality.
Wrong! The East India Company was abandoned in the late 1800s. Any company claiming to be the original East India Company is a fraud.
The RCM is about $8 above the Sunshine Minting bar.
For quality, SMI is one of the best and for security features they are the best.
I would go with the SMI bar but it's always good to diversify. The PAMP hand poured is also very nice.
Depends on where your shopping. Liberty coin has the RCM $1 cheaper.
Outstanding Video.
Four 9999,s always win in my book.
Absolutely!
Rcm and germania mint have the best bars in my opinion.
They have gotten a lot cheaper premium wise so I can see the renewed appeal.
Yeah been awhile since I talked much about them. Good bars and price is much improved.
Great vid. Also use firefuy containers
Germania bars :)
I buy Sunshine Mint and Canadian SML's for their security. I stopped buying ASE's over 10 years ago - no real security features!
Those are two excellent options. I'm currently working to stack more SMI rounds. Been going hard on the coins this year.
@@floridastacker Yes, SMI's are really great; I forgot to mention them in my original post!
@@floridastacker Yeah, the SMI are really good for two reasons, 1) the anti-counterfeiting feature, 2) the premiums over spot seem to be lower for SMI than others. The SMIs look really good. Although the RCM and Britannia's look really good too.
Only have 2 ten ounce bars, A tombstone nugget style and a old Engelhard loaf bar. Really like alot those 2 you showed though.
I don't have many Silver bars myself. I'd like to add some more over the next couple of years and I think these - when spot is lower and premiums are kept somewhat in check are a great option. Nice bars, Jeff.
Rcm is my go to. I do wish the usmint had a 10 ouncer
Same here!
It's amazing how good they did with security on the Britannia coins but dropped the ball on the bar.
I thought reeding was to prevent people from filing the edges (so having an underweight coin or bar) and had little to do with counterfeiting?
$305 @ $21.55 spot great bar
I feel like 10 oz bars that aren’t generic are a rip off right now. Most are around 300 while spot would be 230ish
I won't too see a little bit gold cowboy 👍
Do you recommend the silvertowne silver bars? I just ordered a 1 oz bar from jm bullion
Yes, great recognized company 👏
