  • This video considers buying smaller gold coins as the price of gold continues to rise. We'll take a close look at the 1/10 oz Gold Canadian Maple Leaf and talk through the pros and cons of higher premium, fractional gold.
NOTE: I am not a financial planner. I'm just a guy on the internet, talking about precious metals. Always do your own research before buying gold or silver.

      WARNING ! ⚠ WARNING !
Be careful when taking advice from people pushing Silver or Gold as a safe investment. They often use circular reasoning.
I keep waiting for Jeremiah Babe"s channel to respond to my messages of historical evidence about Silver & Gold problems.
THE SOLUTION TO THE U.S.A. DEBT & COVID-19 FEAR BASED SCAM IS IN MY MESSAGE HERE:
      Watch the video called
'THE MONEY MASTERS' by Bill Still.
Then also watch the video called 'THE SECRET OF OZ' by Bill Still.
Then you will know what action we must take when organized !
Give me thoughts about the two videos after you watch them.
I know what will completely get rid of the U.S.A. debt, but many of us have to demand this from the politicians (our public servants).
If the politicians won't listen then the military has the right to defend the U.S.A. against "all threats, foreign and DOMESTIC" !
      * Please watch the 2 videos I recommended to you first, then we will talk.
⚠ Maybe we should STOP focusing so much on non-essential distractions and START focusing on who controls the money system.

THE LOSS OF CONFIDENCE IN THE U.S.A. DOLLAR CAUSES VALUE LOSS IN THE U.S.A. DOLLAR !
People, please stop talking negative about the U.S.A. dollar.
Yes, most of us agree that the dollar would be better if the privately owned Federal Reserve business would be replaced with Congress taking back their Constitutional right to print the dollar again as they did before the year 1913.
      * Please watch the video documentary called, 'THE MONEY MASTERS' by Bill Still.
The U.S. dollar currency has value in most countries on this earth because modern day technology has made it almost impossible to counterfeit. Gold and Silver can be easily counterfeited !
It costs many thousands of dollars to own a machine that accurately tests Gold and Silver for counterfeits.
      * I personally own a little Gold and Silver as a novelty.
By you and others criticizing the U.S.A. dollar pushes us faster towards a One World Order cashless digital currency money slavery system !
Please research past history from many hundreds of years ago on how Gold and Silver was made scarce by corrupt politicians.
When Gold & Silver is made scarce it causes many, many problems.
Send all the corrupt politicians that got the U.S.A in debt to communist China to have them pay off the debt in the China slave labor prisons !
      * President Trump can create an Executive Order to wipe out the U.S.A. debt.
Then allow Congress their Constitutional right to print non-debt based money again as they did before the year 1913.
The words 'FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE' will then be replaced with the words 'UNITED STATES NOTE' back on our cash.
If Congress does not do this soon we are going to be in a lot of trouble ! !
Why isn't President Trump taking action by implementing this ?
This would truly help "make America great again!"
I and many other American's are not afraid of the corrupt Federal Reserve bank. "We The People" are the government. The U.S. Constitution clearly explains this! The politicians are our public servants. WE SHOULD NEVER BE AFRAID TO FIGHT FOR THE TRUTH ! ! !
Watch the historical video documentary called
'THE SECRET OF OZ' by Bill Still.
It explains that Gold and Silver have been made scarce by banks that resulted in depressions and many other serious problems. This fact has happened often in many countries.
Most people need to fine tune their critical thinking skills and research abilities.

He said, "The prices of GOLD and SILVER are manipulated !"
Please research past history from many hundreds of years ago on how Gold and Silver was made scarce by corrupt politicians.
When Gold & Silver is made scarce it causes many, many problems.
*Now, I want you all to think carefully about the logical conclusion here.
The evil elitist that manipulate the prices of Gold & Silver can make a new law that says you can't "buy or sell" with Gold, Silver or Cash.
Their new form of "money" will be a computer chip in your "right hand or forehead" that can be scanned just like your bank debit cards at all stores.
How many of you have 7 years of food stored up in your houses or in your apartments or on your property ?
Why would anybody invest or put their trust in Gold & Silver that is manipulated by very evil people ?
Question, how many of you will be willing to trade your guns and ammo in for food and medicines?
How many are going to let themselves and their family members go hungry to the point of starvation by NOT accepting the new 666 "beast" money system ?
How many of you will allow yourselves or family members suffer with an injury because you refuse to have the injury treated at your local walk-in clinic or hospital that only accepts a computer chip in the "right hand or forehead" ?
"Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood."
      ~HOLY BIBLE, Psalms 94:20, 21

Yes, the premium are step on 1/10th oz coins. However there is guy name Fernando Aguire who survive the argentine collapse, and the 1/10th oz coins were good when you need to cash them in to go buy groceries. You didn't want to cash in too big of gold coin as the money devalue/depreciated so fast that it would worth less by the next day. So there is a place for the 1/10th oz coins. I probably wouldn't invest a large amount in them, but I would have save.

JMBullion was sold out of the 1/10th eagle for the entire summer. They are finally back in stock. While the premium is crazy, it's because most people want them not only because they are more affordable, but because people feel they are more liquid if they need some quick cash. BTW, if gold is going where more and more experts are speculating...the premiums you are paying won't even matter and will probably even go up as more people wake up to what all this money printing will do to the dollar.

The 1/10 fractional size makes the most sense when you’re able to dollar cost average and consistently make purchases regardless of the market direction. There’s nothing wrong with expanding the mint choices . Some vendors will offer random coin types and years at a discount . That adds up over time . Another factor to consider is whether shipping is free or if you have a long distance to travel to make purchases of the coins . Great topic . I’m just getting started watching some of your previous videos and appreciate the time and effort taken to produce videos on the topic . -DM

My first gold buy was 14 1/10th eagles at $188 with prems.. today that would be 288 with prems. Back then I brought 1/10 to barter with for medium price purchases say my food and water instead of carry around a lot of silver eagles. Since then i add 1 more to have 15.. I want to go back and buy more 1/10 but I cant bring myself to pay the prems.. Next time i get some found money maybe I wlll buy 5 more.

The smaller fractional will always have the highest premiums with both silver and gold so the chance is high that you should get that back if you decide to sell in the future. So isn’t it a wash in the end as long as the spot price goes up over time? Just my thought. I agree with what you are saying. Trying to buy larger fractional myself, but sometimes good prices pop up on these 1/10 ozt pieces and you got to snatch them up.

After spot went over $1500, the only fractional gold I bought were/are the 20 Francs (.1867oz) & 1 Ducats (.1106oz) as the premiums are only 2%-4%... When you sell those, you will only get spot but presumably that price will be 40% or more higher so I think that is the best gold strategy unless you find deals... Spot price was on its way down and the dealer kept dragging his feet. He actually told me he didn’t want the Roosters! That was years ago, though. Much different environment today. Hope you have better luck!

Very good video. I personally avoid 1/10th oz coins. I have been accumulating gold coins since 2016. At first I bought 1 oz coins and as the price rose I scaled down to 1/2 oz and now I’m buying 1/4 oz. If I can’t afford a 1/4 oz this month I’ll wait for next month. In this fashion my $ cost averaging strategy protects me as my heavier purchases were done at much lower prices. I buy mostly Maples and some Perth mint coins all .9999. If I buy an American Eagle I’m taxed 5% because they are an alloy of gold and copper so I avoid them but I sure would love to have a few.

If you want to check out some really innovative fractional though, look up Utah Goldbacks! I do really like that since 2019 they are doing the silver proof versions of the yearly state quarters in .999 instead of standard 90%. There are 5 state/territory quarter designs released each year, and with the .999 silver versions, 5 add up to exactly 1.02 troy oz, so some people literally crack them out of the cases to put in tubes as fractionals! I think the mint should also do gold versions of those, with 5 adding up to 1 troy oz as well, even if they would have to be a bit smaller physically (like the 2016 gold versions of the 100 year old constitutional silver designs).

According to Miles Franklin the US Mint is only producing 1 oz. gold eagles and buffalos. No fractionals. They may get harder to get. Check out prices at Apmex for gold fractionals. If you had say for example, 10 or maybe 20 1/10th oz. gold maple leafs ( I don't know in this instance it would be leaves...lol), in original factory plastic sheets, would you leave them be or cut them all out and put them in capsules? Only curious. All opinions welcome! Thanks in advance.

Premiums on the 1/10 is imho way too high to make it a regular buy - at least in Europe. Like I always say I like to diversify a little and there's nothing wrong with buying smaller denominations once in a while and sure for gifts too if people wants cash and you don't want to give them cash. But it comes at a large premium. A quick price check locally I can buy 1/10 ounce new bullion and a vintage Danish 10 kroner in the same price range. Doing the number crunch I'll get ½ gram for free in the vintage coin compared to modern bullion and if selling to a dealer there's no way you get the premium back - it's a nobrainer.
For the 1/4 oz size range the picture is a little better. A vintage Danish 20 kroner vs 1/4 oz are pretty much the same price - here you'll only get ~0,2 gram "for free".
For pure bullion I normally don't go lower than 1/4 oz. For vintage coins I normally don't go lower than the French 20 franc (5,8 gram). Of course there's always a few exceptions and a great deal might turn up unexpected. New Sovereigns aren't quite a 1/4 oz on the other hand premiums are none the less very low on those from trusted online dealers. Gold in Europe is more equal no matter origin. Pretty much regardless size and origin you'll always get spot when selling to a dealer - so what count the most is the premium. Sure selling privately or special items with numismatical value you might get a little more - especially if in good condition.

So far if we are looking at spot you are paying $50 more for a 1/4oz
    And
    $20-$25 over spot
    For 1/10oz
This is me looking at SD bullion btw.

I went for an international 1/10 ounce gold stack. 10 different countries in 1/10 size. Resale isn't my goal. The variety is. But due to premiums it will be the only one I have. Quarter ounce is my preferred size.

Fracs are the easiest resale; because the most people can afford them. Fracs are the ONLY option for low income stackers. Fracs recover their premiums and hold value even if it takes a little longer. Zoom out, no regrets.

The coins are beautiful but I can’t bring myself to buy them. In Ireland a single Oz coin will cost €38 when the spot price is €20. If you buy bulk then the price per coin will come down to €29. Thd buyback price is then pretty much spot, so to me this would be a luxury item purchase to give as a gift or as a coin collector only. As an investment it just seems insane.
The spread on bars is much narrower and makes much more sense to me.

im thinking going into 1/10 oz gold coins. because the 1 ounce is so expensive for my economy. And IF just if gold every is to be a real currency, a 1500$ to 2000$ unit is quite large . A 200$ unit 1/10 is a much better trading unit, 3.1g AU . And its a wider variety of faces, like the Somalia Republic shilling African Wildlife . There is nothing like the colour of gold . For 1 oz of gold you can buy 2 kilo of silver . It depend on how much space you got around . If a real currency of gold was to take place, it must be 1 gram and 1/2 gram units .

Yeah, I think the 1/10 oz coins have a lot of benefits. They just have such a high premium typically.

A new-to-collecting buddy of mine and I have recently come to the conclusion that trying to stack fractional gold is a fool's game. After "investing" over $330 on a 1/10 toz Aussie WWII commemorative gold coin - literally the size of your thumbnail - and 1 Gram of gold (worst decision ever), he calls me up and we go to 3 different local places AFTER gold spot price was up ~$23 over the time they were purchased. Lo and behold, nobody is offering anywhere NEAR what was paid for two pieces of gold (out the door, plus shipping) and he would have taken a pretty stout loss. We've decided it's better to concentrate on more affordable silver 1 toz rounds and coins, and play the silver-to-gold ratio over the long term. You get way more metal in your hands with silver and it's more likely you'll be able to use it to barter if SHTF.

    • @2is1gold
      @2is1gold  4 роки тому +2

It definitely takes a while to get ahead of sunk costs like premium/shipping. I’ve made some questionable purchases in the past that turned out fine as the price of gold has increased. I’ve had more moderate luck converting silver to gold. Good luck to you!
