    The AGE is better to handle with no gloves. The gold maple is 24k gold and will scratch very easily and finger Mark's you cant wipe off. You can but 24k is very soft it will scratch

      True but I love to be able to handle my gold and I sell it for spot and have no problem selling thanks for the comment

      @@comicsandsilver4155 I forgot to say great coins! I just yesterday traded same silver maples for a $5 liberty quarter eagle. Always wanted one and my LCS sold it to me for under spot. To bad gold took a dump today but I'm long term anyway

      @@comicsandsilver4155 Hey Comics, I've got a 1 ounce gold maple leaf, and guess what, I scratched it, lol. Just a fairly light scratch, but should I still be able to sell it for spot, or have I decreased it's value by a fair amount now?

    • @comicsandsilver4155
      @comicsandsilver4155  5 років тому

      You definitely should be able to get spot for it it still contains an once of a Gold and will never be worth below spot. In some cases you may also be able to get a bit of the premium depending on how you sell it.

    Great looking coins, I love the eagles but my problem is they aren't 9999 fine, you pay the same premium and its 22k gold, however to counter that, they are the easiest to sell and most widely recognizable. I am waiting on a 1/2 oz maple and a 1/4 oz maple right now, last week I picked up a 1 oz platinum maple along with 54 oz of silver maples. This will be my first gold though and I'm super excited to get it. I think i will try to get a 1oz next month. Maples are beautiful.

      You could look at the eagle vs maple debate this way. Both coins contain the same amount of gold but the eagle is more recognizable and contains more precious metal per coin. Like it literally has more precious metals than every single other sovereign bullion coin in the world and it's the most popular and recognizable. Or on par with the Kurrgerrand. Just my thoughts. Love maples too!

      @@MRkriegs exactly quarter ounce Maple Leaf quarter ounce gold eagle both have a quarter ounce of gold with the eagle you get a little bit of silver and copper mixed as a bonus but the big benefit from the 22 karat coin is you can handle it play with it carry it in your pocket and it don't scratch up easy like 24-karat does they're way more durable circulation gold is what it's called

    .9999 gold 1/4 oz. coins are much smaller than the 22K 1/4 oz. gold eagles in general. And the .9999 fine are about the same size as a 1/10 oz. gold eagle.

    The maple leaf is beautiful and I have one but I really prefer the Eagles one reason I'm in America but the other is the 22 karat gold you still get quarter ounce of gold but it has a little bit of silver and copper mixed which makes it way more durable don't scratch easy and you can carry it around play with it don't have to worry about damaging it as easy cuz I like to handle my gold coin sometimes. Good video

      I am Canadian and I prefer the gold eagle as silver eagles over the maples any day personal preference, the only issue is the premiums are so high on the. In Canada

    • @trackpackgt877

      @@comicsandsilver4155 the premiums on Eagles are high everywhere they're not making as many and everyone's buying them the premiums are pretty ridiculous right now so I've actually started buying Silver Maple Leafs because it's a beautiful coin too it's my second favorite without a doubt plus I like the 9999 fine. If Premiums ever drop I'll go back to Silver Eagles but I don't see it happening for a while pretty bad when in America the Canadian maple leaf is cheaper than the American Silver Eagle

      @@comicsandsilver4155 im new to precious metals, i just bought 1k worth of silver and have a lot more money sitting in savings that im worried will depreciate over the next couple years. Sort of stuck between getting more silver or gold or both. Gold seems inflated for the short term but silver seems like a good buy, i would get some more but premiums are almost 50% of spot price right now... crazy

      Premiums are pretty high right now I’m not buying as much silver as I normally would. If you look around you might find some deals. I think the premiums on gold are a lot lower I recently purchase a 1/4 oz gold coin for 50$ CAD over spot and I was looking at 10 oz silver bar and the premium was 10$ CAD over spot per once so I think gold may be a better by but don’t rush in to a purchase try to find yourself the closest price to spot as you could

      They are good sellers but they don't have the best prices out there. However they also have their own bullion, bars and rounds, which is cheaper than others

      always look for good sellers that have low premium and less shipping price and less taxes !
