Used a nasal steamer paired with a bright led mirror from temu to see the gunk has worked wonders. I originally was pinching the top lids & using an extraction on the bottom. Now I use do the typical up down massage on top. Also a change of diet to reduce inflammation. It's like night & day.
Thank you! I just tested out the eyeris 3... I have a video coming out about it soon. The Eyeris 3 is better... the heat just barely gets to a warm enough setting that I think it could actually be effective. It also has more custom massage settings so you can turn off the eye massage and just massage the temple. So I think that one is better. I still think the more dedicated warm compresses are better though.
Yeh am glad you tested this and saved me wasting more money. I got the cheap plug in one from amazon and use it daily on high for 20 mins and it retains the same heat for the entire time. Wasted so much money on those microwave and pop type and they cool in minuites. I love doing the plug in one it feels great and makes my eyes water and I don't use the gel for first part of night now but use gel in middle of night/early morning then drops few times in day
I got one of these things on Amazon before I found out I had ABMD. What I didn't like about it was the pressure it was putting on my eyelids using the massage setting. However I did purchase the eye mask that you feature here later in the video and saw in a prev video on your chnl and that seems to help out esp during the winter months where I feel it the most when my eyes become dry.
I bought the eye-open-tear one you mentioned, your blue hero mask. It will be fun opening the door to the postman wearing mine. Mine is white, so I feel like I should have a knife in my hand when I wear it! Takes me back to my teens and all those gory movies. Thank you for all your help, I love these videos I have had dry eye since my 20s, and I swear it was makeup artist brushes that did it because before that, my eyes were fine, but 10 ears of makeup brushes are not probably 100% sterile as they use the makeup over and over with different actors and models means the bacteria was rife in there. I spray all my eye makeup with anti-bacterial sprays, wash my brushes, and replace old make-up. Would love to see an eye shadow under the microscope. People have used make-up for decades and don't always look after it this way.
A heated eye mask seems like something that should be so easy to produce. I've now bought two and neither are anywhere close to perfect. I was hoping this would be the answer.
I have been using the optase moist heat mask for 3 days now as recommended by the optometrist due to severe dry eyes. Was advised to heat in a microwave for 20 seconds and put it on for 8 minutes, i must say the symptoms have improved to a great extent that i don't get the sever sudden pain i used to, where i would have to close my eyes as it was impossible to keep them open. But my eye feel swollen and strange after using it, particularly today, it took longer for the blurring of vision to settle down but it just feels uncomfortable, sensation of swelling or protrusion, being a medical doctor myself, i am quite freaked out as i dont want to displace the cornea but at the same time i am so happy that symptoms have improved so much, any suggestions? I was also given hylaforte eye drops with hylo night to use
Hi Dr, I started having dry eyes during the pandemic and i dont know why but i started seeing my right side of my nose(like it looks little bit bent to right side) when reading or looking down like it interrupts my vision.I also feel i have more dryness in my right eye so is this two connected in some way.
I’ve encountered a recurring issue with the Renpho eye massager. This is the second one I’ve purchased, and unfortunately, after about a year of use, the rechargeable battery no longer holds a charge. Is anyone else experiencing difficulty recharging the battery, even for a single use? It doesn't seem sustainable to me to keep re-purchasing. Renpho does not offer repairs or replacement batteries.
Hi Neil, thank you for all your videos. It has helped me better understand my MGD and also RCE. I came across NovaTears Omega 3 eye drops and noticed on the box it states that this drop is 'antimicrobial'. Can you please let me know what it means that the NovaTears Omega 3 eye drops is antimicrobial? Thanks
Staring at the Sun will blind you... What about staring at ever-brighter oncoming LED, halogen, HID kits, etc. headlights while driving. Can that cause permanent damage?
very nice and honest review. While I’m not interested in using it for dry eyes treatment, I’m a little concerned about the pressure it puts on the eyeballs as you mentioned! With that said, this is quite an old one from Renpho and I wonder if their eyeris 3 (latest) still has the same issues. Can’t wait for your review on that!!

Great video. Thank you sharing. I learned something new today about the message.

what are other good eye mask (for massaging the overall area) that you like? (ignoring the dry eye treatment effectiveness)
Thank you in advance!
@DrEyeGuy would you be able to give some recommendations here? I can’t wait to get an eye massager 😝

Are warm compresses safe if one has an iol implant? Curious 🤔
Usually, but definitely check with your doctor, as everybody's case can be different.

It is just ok to use but not working 100% for dry eyes.
right, I was approaching this video from a dry eye treatment stand point. My wife loves to use this, and she doesn't have dry eyes.

I just fold a paper towel, run it under the warm (or cold) sink and stick it under my glasses against my eyelid. Cost:
But... is it effective?... that is the question.
@@DrEyeGuyhaha, true. Actually it works for me, but i only need it a couple times a year and would normally use a washcloth.
you just wasted your time, water and paper towel!
