About the Green Lantern Ring. 1- Wouldn't the Ring reject and abandon John the second he got braniac-fied or the second he started to kill innocents, breaking the first rule of the GLC "No lethal force until one is proven to be a definitive threat to peace or liberty" 2- The Ring would have left John Stewart the second he died looking for a new host at light speed. Even if King Shark managed to take the ring, the ring could have denied King shark and if forced to would have used it's defenses to escape 3-Even if King Shark had the will power to use the ring, the Ring likely would have adapted to King Shark's finger, but even if we ignore that aswell the second King Shark's willpower proved to be enough to weild the ring, it would have been impossible to remove it unless King Shark wanted to 4- The Green ring doesn't even touch the user's psyche so why in the world did King Shark lose his mind?

That is what I thought when the game was just about to come out. That Brainiac made copies with the original league in mind hive linked pods that give the copies their memories and powers, or the multiverse thing being that the Crime Syndicate was disguised to look like the JL with the real ones being lost in the multiverse.
The synthetic angle would also give Rocksteady an in universe lore reason as to why the suicide squad would have to "refight" boss battles. Whether that gets used in its next chapter of story-telling or is revealed as Brainiac's endgame strategy (an army of synth Justice Leaguers) we'll see when we get there.

Oh there are still other versions or we'll bring them from the past. Even if that is the case the fact that the green Kryptonite penetrated his skin as it did means it still was quite effective. Considering that WW essentially punctures his lung with the kryptonite... I really do not believe he had all that power left in him at that point to burn WW to a crisp.

My theory is there's going to be some time travel stuff and the finale of the game will be called "Suicide Squad: Save The Justice League". Basically stopping Braniac from successfully invading. I don't think Robin can be dead for the story to work. Flash's finger is explained that Brainiac regenerated his finger with whatever he did to him. As far as I know, the shield was Brainiac's own technology. The shield was purple, not green. The shield should have been green.
Each season is 2 Episodes and the Brainiacs on the list are paired. I think we kill 2 per season and it was always designed as a 7 season game with a potential for more after that. Or 6 seasons and an ending episode. I also think it’s all written and recorded, and the delays were to finalize the first year of post launch content so it does ship on time.

What I do believe is that Two-Thor or Lex from Earth two is actually a version of Braniac that wants to be the only Braniac who rules, this is what when Braniac saw him at the end before being killed he said: "... you". That caught my attention. Braniac can change his appearance so thats a not a surprise. Agreed that the Justice league members we fought may be clones with the exception of Batman. I guess the future seasons will dig into realizing that the league is alive and that two-thor may be Braniac, thay would not be a surprise for Waller. Game need to improve some gameplay mechanics and of course encourge more multiplayer to keep the attention of people.Hope they continue the story with a good story.
which game are you referring to? if you were referring to suicide squad kill the justice league then it is very much still a live service game but if you were thinking of gotham knights then you would probably correct that they pivoted since it very much feels like it was at one point supposed to be a live service game initially

In the "Justice" comic book with Alex Ross art Wonder Woman was scratched up by Cheetah and her claws had been dipped in i believe centaur blood. If you know you mythology that is what hurt Hercules, anyway she was reverting back into clay she was looking like a burned pot. When she died on the beaches of Themyscira she was absorbed back into the sand and rebuilt all healed. That was one of her old school power sets, if seriously injured she could be healed by the earth.

Theres a lot of elements i didn't like about the story personally, but i guess i didn't really associate it with a live service type game. So im excited to think they can resolve those issues in the future.
I 100% believe this is what’s happening. Rocksteady came out and said that they were doing a live service game, but that it would be unique and the game would legitimately change and evolve over time. I think if anything, it could be an amazing story by the end of its life cycle, with tons and tons of content to play, but ONLY if they actually put effort in to the DLC cycle. The story genuinely needs about another game or 2 worth of story points from rescuing/reviving the Justice League, fighting Brainiac AGAIN, and a final resolution to be worthy of being a live service game instead of a traditional one we all wanted.
I think the Batman we killed was Hush. No matter when you finish it, Bruce keeps Hush locked up under Wayne Tower. It wouldn't be out of the question that Bruce sent Hush to the spaceship since he openly didn't trust Brainiac and it was Hush that got kidnapped instead of Batman
I don't get that theory at all. Hush hates Bruce, so I doubt he'd do anything for him, and I especially doubt that Bruce'd send him into a potential alien invasion. I also don't think Hush would know how to fight/use fear toxin like Bruce before he gets captured

I just watch the game play and realized somethings. If there is 13 Brainiac in total, and you are supposed to kill all of them, then the main story could also possibly change 13 times. Where we see alternate versions of the ending of the Arkham verse. One where the Joker doesn’t die, one where we see the ending play out of Deathstroke joint the team like the end of Arkham Knight. We could even see a version where (our true Arkham) Batman helps take down the Justice League instead of Wonder Women. DC does a great job of telling else world stories. Correct me if I am wrong but if it took them 6 years to make Origins-Knight and took them like 9 for this, there might be more. GTA 5 had a lot of extra stories added to it besides the main game and look how fare it got. This could be the same case for this one. The game might get better.
This game has not sold enough for them to continue supporting it. They will do the bare minimum that they are legally obligated to do. Even if the story is a fake-out, it has already failed.

what is scary is the fact on steam Suicide Squad is deleting negative or mixed reviews about the game, someone even made a review pointing it out and it had over 2,000 labeled as "helpful" and now that review along with others I've read are just gone. So sad. I don't even think the game is bad just seriously not worth the price point.
The problem was that a lot of the reviews were from people who bought the game, left a review, then immediately returned it. That's why Steam deleted those reviews. They left a lot more of the helpful negative reviews up
100% Agree with almost all of this. They might have really killed Batman to replace him with a different actor/elseworld Batman due to Kevin's passing. This could have been changed due to said death, when the original plan could have been to have the death mimic the others...or he could have been a clone like the rest and I'm just reaching. Which could also mean poor Wonder Woman is the only one who really died...
well it actually depends on how much of the script was done and if all of Batman's lines were done meaning kevin recorded the entire game before he passed meaning they dont need to recast him but i agree with holly they could hire rodger since he did voice arkham batman younger but still wouldn't be too out of place
Wonder Woman's death made me feel really sad, I thought she was real and truly dead. She being made out of clay makes sense, thought it was lava or something. But I didn't think about it like she could be remade.

YES!! I’ve been saying this! I think it’s a way easier explanation for them to just be resurrected because it fills all the plot holes that the cloning theory doesn’t. The audio logs also specifically say “Brainac’s resurrection took a toll on the Flash’s nervous system.”

Also, Braniac, Batman, and a ton of other character mentioning “Hollowing out people’s minds” which definitely sounds like brainwashing rather than cloning. Braniac also talks about making “adjustments” to the suicide squad and “unlocking their potential” which sounds like he is directly enhancing their bodies rather than than cloning, and he probably did the same to the Justice league. The flash’s missing finger, Green Lantern’s Ring, and Superman’s resistance to Kryptonite can also be explained through this genetic enhancement and regeneration rather than cloning. Finally, the audio logs specifically mention the flash saying “I get stopping us when WE went rogue” and it specifically mentions the word resurrection.
If this clone theory is true, then 100% they rewrote the game at some point to make the Justice League clones to cover their asses. You don't model a fake thumb in the trailer, write the story and dialogue as if you are actually killing the Justice League with Eulogies for each character in the overworld, and then delay the game a year just to throw people off on a theory that wasn't even popular until release.

Damian could've been introduced even and we could play with a Tim Drake Batman and have Damian as his Robin or skip a few years and straight up have a Damian game. End the Arkhamverse nicely. A JL game or Sueprman game can be set in its own new universe. I don't think the JL had to be introduced in this universe. Back to the original point. The premise was garbage. Characters that are either fodder or have died in this universe are suddenly resurrected and brought together to beat gods, something Batman hasn't even achieved in this universe. His biggest threat was like the Joker and Scarecrow.
They deserve their L. So much was left unexplored in the Arkhamverse and yet they decided to make a game no one really asked for. Completely changing the tone of the verse, the core gameplay, the style of the game and having us be characters that have already died or just weren't impressive at all in the verse. Boomerang and Shark are dead. Harley got beat each time and the 1 time she got one over bats was at his worst, snd he beat her again anyways later in the timeline, Deadshot was no threat for pretty much every time he showed.
Ah... the desperate attempts to look for anything that can patch up the shattered husk of that which was once loved. Invented fixes that do not exist because the thing itself was made from spite rather than care to begin with. Makes me nostalgic for the days of the Star Wars sequels.
You just know the game is bad when even the hopeful theories point out it's bad writing regardless. Also, Wonder Woman was never caught but still died. They can retcon it by saying she and the Flash are unknowing clones that escaped, but same as before, it's bad writing regardless. That's the thing about this game, it's an acquired taste, they can hop universes, they can trade in clones, they can even undo everything, but with most people not really liking it, there just no "fixing" it.
While you already discussed the theory of battle passes, i imagine based on the information learnt from the game. It will be very much like Ghost Recon Breakpoint. To ellaborate breakpoint on release had an okay at best reaction, what they did was they made DLC free and had a overarching story for the main lead to save his teammates from the Wildlands game, who were spread across the map each being saved in seperate dlcs. Since Brainiac is a network of like 13 versions i think, each brainiac is storing a playable character that each DLC when destroying that brainiac will save and thus be playable. So in the boss battle against Brainiac in the main story he converts into Flash which is why i think he was on that Brainiacs ship. As to tap into the speed force you would need a lice source otherwise it dies off. Hence why those leaked audio logs show him returning in the 1st dlc/battle pass. Now it is known that Joker is the dlc character for the first one due to gameplay shown. I think the Flash will be playable like the rest of the league down the line due to the assets they used to make boomerang speed abilities. Or at the very least a character who hands out missions or an assistable NPC on certain missions like how we saw facing green lantern to begin with. Similar again to breakpoint with the likes of Sam Fisher from Splinter cell I also think Red Hood will be a character in a DLC due to Batmans dialogue at the bank about "if you can find Jason" being very specifc compared to simply just saying his name alongside Oracle and Nightwing. I think he may well be going to Metropolis to find Tim as we didnt see Tims body. Also Joker will be in gotham and since Arkham Joker is meant to be dead, there is no way Jason wouldnt want to see it with his own eyes. After all the stuff that Joker put him through. Which is why i think Jason will be an enemy initially in a DLC mid way through that you beat him and Waller conscripts him into taskforce X. Also with the Arkham Knight Red hood DLC, the assets of Red Hood gameplay would be easier for them to convert over to Suicide squad. I also think Tim will have a Brainiac clone Finally to add it is almost certain they are clones not just because of the thumb alone but by the time of Wonder womans death brainiac knows where the Taskforce X is and if Superman and Batman were the real deal why wouldnt they just use their biometrics to gain access and take out waller unless their biometrics dont match due to being clones and the altered DNA. As the finger they used to gain initial access was the non "converted" Barry Allen.
I wonder what Jason and New Joker's dynamic would be like. Because this Joker isn't as bad as the one from the other games, would Harley get with this one. Side note, I think they should have gotten Cameron Monahgan to play New Joker.
They even make it a point that the GL ring chooses the wearer. It’s inside the Hall of justice at the beginning where you interact with the holograms. John Stewart says a line about that.
I don't think King Shark was using the ring for evil, he was just acting out of instinct by attacking the squad when he smelled blood. The ring probably wouldn't consider predatorial instincts as evil. Either that or the ring was hacked to reverse it's idea of "evil" and force those who wear the ring to attack anyone fighting against Brainiac.
My theory with the many inconsistencies of our beloved characters' powersets would be that Braniac is "unlocking their full potential" as he states when talking to the frozen squad after we will Superman. In my theory, he upgraded Superman by making him almost if not completely invulnerable to his only weakness. For Batman, Braniac removed his no kill rule, unleashing Batmans full capabilities with no holding back. For Lantern perhaps his upgrade was unlimited will power even beyond death which explains why the shields don't go down despite his death? Flash's upgrade could be his fear of not being able to regen his lost limbs, explaining his regained finger as well as his (spoiler) [leaked revival]. Idk just a theory, lmk what yall think!
It works as a developing story, because things like this (the whole internet discourse) can inspire the writers to be like "Oh yeah, that's what we're gonna go with". It gives them leeway to release content, then wait and see how it develops and how it's received by the fans.
I also found it odd with how damaged the flash got, cos we know his healing factor is crazy fast yet he just wasn't healing, that could just be for the plot of the game but if so thats a major flaw in the game also with green lantern I thought the ring leaves a person or stops working if they are using it for evil, its even in the oath "in brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight" yet he used it for evil? and we saw that with Hal in injustice as well as sinestro so wouldn't the ring had left John or at least stopped working for him
That's why we think Brainiac made his own ring and the JL we kill aren't the actual people. Also his choice of words was weird: Congrats on killing "My Justice League".

If you beat the game when you fight Braniac he has taken over the Flash’s powers, which makes me think we’re just going to keep fighting the justice league over and over. Everyone confused about the lantern ring, its this simple: The ring was corrupted by braniac which is why John Stewart kept his powers. Braniac was manipulating not only John’s will but also the ring itself. This is exactly why the ring didnt fly away when he was killed. King Shark was only able to harness the powers of the ring for a short period before the rings corruption took over him too. U can see the moment he snaps into the braniac bloodlust and the shot of the ring plopping into the water is symbolic of the ring being a fraud as opposed to it gracefully flying away the way theyre supposed to.

That makes a lot of sense! I mean, Brainiac as a final boss takes the form/shape of The Flash plus uses his powers. Some enemies also get to use Flash's powers as well so, why not having copies of the Justice League? I'm almost certain this is the case.
Whether correct or not, i like this theory because it's in line with 2 things I heard in the Insider Episode 3. Rocksteady said what's very cool about the NARRATIVE of SSKTJL is that there's almost no limit on where they can go. They also mentioned that the characters that we would get to see over time would be similar to a periodic comic book release. I think that's a strong hint of a different, but risky move Rocksteady are undertaking: A narrative that spans several episodes, with twists and turns, characters that seemingly die and are reborn. Our discussions centered on which issue is our least/most favorite, just like comics. Rocksteady are attempting to redefine what it means to tell a story.
Comic tropes are stupid and overplayed. That's why Marvel and DC's profits have steadily declined over the past few years. Readers want consequences and actual timelines, not stagnation and retcons.

Can anyone please explain to me what’s so bad about Suicide Squad being in the Arkham verse? This game doesn’t undo those stories. It doesn’t make them less than. They’re pretty much irrelevant here. Also the Justice League deaths being disrespectful? Oh well, they’ve died and come back so many times why does it even matter at this point.
personally if they had to bring back batman, i would use short audio tracks (old ones, not AI BS) and make him present but as a background role but not diminish his name
I don't believe they verbally commented on Flash having his finger back, but they did acknowledge it visually. No way were Flash's hand gestures an accident. At one point he spread his arms and fingers out like he's about to hug someone, that shot alone was all the acknowledgement I needed.

Besides the life service I think it just came down to bad timing, a lot of people want Rock Steady to do with Superman game and instead you get a game where you kill him, and the entire league not to mention still trying to ride the hype of The Last Suicide Squad movie is kind of weird with how much time has passed
It’s only done bad before people immediately went to the boss fights without knowledge and started shitting on it, I’d doubt that they actually went through the story.
i feel like this story is actually going to get better, as throughout the game these characters get their "revenge" but after the fact they realize its wrong, not just because theyre dying weirdly and arent sticking to the canon BUT they regret killing them, especially once they realize waller is just using them, so if they have a chance to save the JL from brainiac they could still have their heroic moment

I hope the theory is right, but I’ve gotta chalk most of the discrepancies up to writing. At the beginning of the game, there’s a scene where Wonder Woman lassos Boomerang and asks him what they did with Flash, then he lies about how he got Flash’s finger (even swears that it just “fell off”).
I personally think that the Justice League gets resurrected and regenerated rather than it being cloning. Cloning feels like a bit of a cop out imo. The audio logs definitely point towards it being the real Justice League, they just got resurrected.
One thing that could work now that kevin has past, is a new batman game for the arkham universe with the introduction of earth 2 thomas wayne batman being set up with a new take in this game. It would explain the voice actors changing without recasting the arkham batman. We already have Earth 2 lex in the game. We have seemingly earth 2 deadshot heavily hinted at in the tapes you unlock. (with lex 2 woundering who is smart enough to leave Earth 2 before he did and bring the new deadshot with them, in the same auido tapes). We could get earth 2 thomas wayne wanting to avenge his son after finding out he was killed again in this universe before he could meet him.
So nobody is gonna bring up the face brainiac states “so you’ve manage to kill MY justice league” they literally spell it out for you after all the little hints during the story
- The biggest flaw of this game honestly is that we're weeks into this alien takeover, not just days. If weeks, this threat should have gone beyond Metropolis' borders by now. - Counterpoint RE The Flash... a being like Brainiac that has the ability to REWRITE a living creatures neurons & brain synapses to remove empathy & make them think that protecting the creation of a new planet over their existing one has the medical nanotechnology necessary to regrow a simple pinky finger. Plus, I feel like ONE of the members of TFX would have noticed & commented on the Flash having his 10th finger back (even as a joke) if it was supposed to mean something. - As for Green Lantern still having his ring... The League members' personalities were left intact, more or less, save for a complete lack of empathy, added aggression, and a realignment in priorities. The League saw protecting the creation of New Calu the same as if they were restoring a broken Earth. As such, in Lantern's mind, he WAS still a good guy doing the right thing, and he WAS fighting evil doers. It may take the ring a click to pick up on the nuance. - All due respect to Kevin Conroy, if Rocksteady did this to the Arkhamverse, they would ABSOLUTELY recast Batman if needed. Or simply introduce a Batman from another universe which is why he would look/sound different. There are several decent Batman v/o artists as is.

About the Green Lantern Ring.
1- Wouldn't the Ring reject and abandon John the second he got braniac-fied or the second he started to kill innocents, breaking the first rule of the GLC "No lethal force until one is proven to be a definitive threat to peace or liberty"
2- The Ring would have left John Stewart the second he died looking for a new host at light speed. Even if King Shark managed to take the ring, the ring could have denied King shark and if forced to would have used it's defenses to escape
3-Even if King Shark had the will power to use the ring, the Ring likely would have adapted to King Shark's finger, but even if we ignore that aswell the second King Shark's willpower proved to be enough to weild the ring, it would have been impossible to remove it unless King Shark wanted to
4- The Green ring doesn't even touch the user's psyche so why in the world did King Shark lose his mind?

That Brainiac made copies with the original league in mind hive linked pods that give the copies their memories and powers, or the multiverse thing being that the Crime Syndicate was disguised to look like the JL with the real ones being lost in the multiverse.

The synthetic angle would also give Rocksteady an in universe lore reason as to why the suicide squad would have to "refight" boss battles. Whether that gets used in its next chapter of story-telling or is revealed as Brainiac's endgame strategy (an army of synth Justice Leaguers) we'll see when we get there.
For a game that's supposed to last years and with multiple updates and introduction of new characters I doubt they're dead.

My theory is there's going to be some time travel stuff and the finale of the game will be called "Suicide Squad: Save The Justice League". Basically stopping Braniac from successfully invading. I don't think Robin can be dead for the story to work. Flash's finger is explained that Brainiac regenerated his finger with whatever he did to him. As far as I know, the shield was Brainiac's own technology. The shield was purple, not green. The shield should have been green.

Each season is 2 Episodes and the Brainiacs on the list are paired. I think we kill 2 per season and it was always designed as a 7 season game with a potential for more after that.
Or 6 seasons and an ending episode. I also think it’s all written and recorded, and the delays were to finalize the first year of post launch content so it does ship on time.

What I do believe is that Two-Thor or Lex from Earth two is actually a version of Braniac that wants to be the only Braniac who rules, this is what when Braniac saw him at the end before being killed he said: "... you". That caught my attention. Braniac can change his appearance so thats a not a surprise. Agreed that the Justice league members we fought may be clones with the exception of Batman. I guess the future seasons will dig into realizing that the league is alive and that two-thor may be Braniac, thay would not be a surprise for Waller. Game need to improve some gameplay mechanics and of course encourge more multiplayer to keep the attention of people.Hope they continue the story with a good story.

which game are you referring to? if you were referring to suicide squad kill the justice league then it is very much still a live service game but if you were thinking of gotham knights then you would probably correct that they pivoted since it very much feels like it was at one point supposed to be a live service game initially

In the "Justice" comic book with Alex Ross art Wonder Woman was scratched up by Cheetah and her claws had been dipped in i believe centaur blood. If you know you mythology that is what hurt Hercules, anyway she was reverting back into clay she was looking like a burned pot. When she died on the beaches of Themyscira she was absorbed back into the sand and rebuilt all healed. That was one of her old school power sets, if seriously injured she could be healed by the earth.

Theres a lot of elements i didn't like about the story personally, but i guess i didn't really associate it with a live service type game. So im excited to think they can resolve those issues in the future.
Yeah the developers said they wanted every season to feel like the next issue of a comic, with all the twists and turns that come with it.
I 100% believe this is what’s happening. Rocksteady came out and said that they were doing a live service game, but that it would be unique and the game would legitimately change and evolve over time. I think if anything, it could be an amazing story by the end of its life cycle, with tons and tons of content to play, but ONLY if they actually put effort in to the DLC cycle. The story genuinely needs about another game or 2 worth of story points from rescuing/reviving the Justice League, fighting Brainiac AGAIN, and a final resolution to be worthy of being a live service game instead of a traditional one we all wanted.

I think the Batman we killed was Hush. No matter when you finish it, Bruce keeps Hush locked up under Wayne Tower. It wouldn't be out of the question that Bruce sent Hush to the spaceship since he openly didn't trust Brainiac and it was Hush that got kidnapped instead of Batman

I don't get that theory at all. Hush hates Bruce, so I doubt he'd do anything for him, and I especially doubt that Bruce'd send him into a potential alien invasion. I also don't think Hush would know how to fight/use fear toxin like Bruce before he gets captured

I just watch the game play and realized somethings. If there is 13 Brainiac in total, and you are supposed to kill all of them, then the main story could also possibly change 13 times. Where we see alternate versions of the ending of the Arkham verse. One where the Joker doesn’t die, one where we see the ending play out of Deathstroke joint the team like the end of Arkham Knight. We could even see a version where (our true Arkham) Batman helps take down the Justice League instead of Wonder Women. DC does a great job of telling else world stories. Correct me if I am wrong but if it took them 6 years to make Origins-Knight and took them like 9 for this, there might be more. GTA 5 had a lot of extra stories added to it besides the main game and look how fare it got. This could be the same case for this one. The game might get better.
This game has not sold enough for them to continue supporting it. They will do the bare minimum that they are legally obligated to do. Even if the story is a fake-out, it has already failed.

what is scary is the fact on steam Suicide Squad is deleting negative or mixed reviews about the game, someone even made a review pointing it out and it had over 2,000 labeled as "helpful" and now that review along with others I've read are just gone. So sad. I don't even think the game is bad just seriously not worth the price point.
The problem was that a lot of the reviews were from people who bought the game, left a review, then immediately returned it. That's why Steam deleted those reviews. They left a lot more of the helpful negative reviews up

100% Agree with almost all of this. They might have really killed Batman to replace him with a different actor/elseworld Batman due to Kevin's passing. This could have been changed due to said death, when the original plan could have been to have the death mimic the others...or he could have been a clone like the rest and I'm just reaching. Which could also mean poor Wonder Woman is the only one who really died...
They could get Rodger Craig Smith back to do a younger Bruce, or have Dick take up the mantle.

It’s clay because in Greek mythology humans were made of clay by Hephaestus and with help from a goddess. But in her original story wonder woman is zeus’ daughter and he made her from clay himself. Then later with a woman or something but as part of the original amazons and she’s a demigod princess to queen Hippolyta

Brainiac probably enhanced them so that the usual ways to take them down won’t work. So you would have to find a workaround.

Also, Braniac, Batman, and a ton of other character mentioning “Hollowing out people’s minds” which definitely sounds like brainwashing rather than cloning. Braniac also talks about making “adjustments” to the suicide squad and “unlocking their potential” which sounds like he is directly enhancing their bodies rather than than cloning, and he probably did the same to the Justice league. The flash’s missing finger, Green Lantern’s Ring, and Superman’s resistance to Kryptonite can also be explained through this genetic enhancement and regeneration rather than cloning. Finally, the audio logs specifically mention the flash saying “I get stopping us when WE went rogue” and it specifically mentions the word resurrection.

If this clone theory is true, then 100% they rewrote the game at some point to make the Justice League clones to cover their asses. You don't model a fake thumb in the trailer, write the story and dialogue as if you are actually killing the Justice League with Eulogies for each character in the overworld, and then delay the game a year just to throw people off on a theory that wasn't even popular until release.

I guess it just feels like rocksteady won't win either way when the suicide squad kills the justice league people will say, " They have spit on the Arkham legacy as well as Kevin Conroy's" then when rocksteady brings the league back people will say, "Ha we knew they didn't have the stones to kill off the justice league their profits are tanking so they had no choice" even though that was always the plan because the game's been in development shortly after arkham knight so no matter what rocksteady does they won't win.
They shouldn’t have made the game in the first place. It was a stupid premise.

Damian could've been introduced even and we could play with a Tim Drake Batman and have Damian as his Robin or skip a few years and straight up have a Damian game. End the Arkhamverse nicely. A JL game or Sueprman game can be set in its own new universe. I don't think the JL had to be introduced in this universe.
Back to the original point. The premise was garbage. Characters that are either fodder or have died in this universe are suddenly resurrected and brought together to beat gods, something Batman hasn't even achieved in this universe. His biggest threat was like the Joker and Scarecrow.
They deserve their L. So much was left unexplored in the Arkhamverse and yet they decided to make a game no one really asked for. Completely changing the tone of the verse, the core gameplay, the style of the game and having us be characters that have already died or just weren't impressive at all in the verse. Boomerang and Shark are dead. Harley got beat each time and the 1 time she got one over bats was at his worst, snd he beat her again anyways later in the timeline, Deadshot was no threat for pretty much every time he showed.
Ah... the desperate attempts to look for anything that can patch up the shattered husk of that which was once loved. Invented fixes that do not exist because the thing itself was made from spite rather than care to begin with. Makes me nostalgic for the days of the Star Wars sequels.

You just know the game is bad when even the hopeful theories point out it's bad writing regardless. Also, Wonder Woman was never caught but still died. They can retcon it by saying she and the Flash are unknowing clones that escaped, but same as before, it's bad writing regardless. That's the thing about this game, it's an acquired taste, they can hop universes, they can trade in clones, they can even undo everything, but with most people not really liking it, there just no "fixing" it.
While you already discussed the theory of battle passes, i imagine based on the information learnt from the game. It will be very much like Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
To ellaborate breakpoint on release had an okay at best reaction, what they did was they made DLC free and had a overarching story for the main lead to save his teammates from the Wildlands game, who were spread across the map each being saved in seperate dlcs.
Since Brainiac is a network of like 13 versions i think, each brainiac is storing a playable character that each DLC when destroying that brainiac will save and thus be playable.
So in the boss battle against Brainiac in the main story he converts into Flash which is why i think he was on that Brainiacs ship. As to tap into the speed force you would need a lice source otherwise it dies off. Hence why those leaked audio logs show him returning in the 1st dlc/battle pass.
Now it is known that Joker is the dlc character for the first one due to gameplay shown. I think the Flash will be playable like the rest of the league down the line due to the assets they used to make boomerang speed abilities. Or at the very least a character who hands out missions or an assistable NPC on certain missions like how we saw facing green lantern to begin with. Similar again to breakpoint with the likes of Sam Fisher from Splinter cell
I also think Red Hood will be a character in a DLC due to Batmans dialogue at the bank about "if you can find Jason" being very specifc compared to simply just saying his name alongside Oracle and Nightwing. I think he may well be going to Metropolis to find Tim as we didnt see Tims body. Also Joker will be in gotham and since Arkham Joker is meant to be dead, there is no way Jason wouldnt want to see it with his own eyes. After all the stuff that Joker put him through.
Which is why i think Jason will be an enemy initially in a DLC mid way through that you beat him and Waller conscripts him into taskforce X. Also with the Arkham Knight Red hood DLC, the assets of Red Hood gameplay would be easier for them to convert over to Suicide squad.
I also think Tim will have a Brainiac clone
Finally to add it is almost certain they are clones not just because of the thumb alone but by the time of Wonder womans death brainiac knows where the Taskforce X is and if Superman and Batman were the real deal why wouldnt they just use their biometrics to gain access and take out waller unless their biometrics dont match due to being clones and the altered DNA. As the finger they used to gain initial access was the non "converted" Barry Allen.
I wonder what Jason and New Joker's dynamic would be like. Because this Joker isn't as bad as the one from the other games, would Harley get with this one. Side note, I think they should have gotten Cameron Monahgan to play New Joker.
They even make it a point that the GL ring chooses the wearer. It’s inside the Hall of justice at the beginning where you interact with the holograms. John Stewart says a line about that.
I don't think King Shark was using the ring for evil, he was just acting out of instinct by attacking the squad when he smelled blood. The ring probably wouldn't consider predatorial instincts as evil.
Either that or the ring was hacked to reverse it's idea of "evil" and force those who wear the ring to attack anyone fighting against Brainiac.
My theory with the many inconsistencies of our beloved characters' powersets would be that Braniac is "unlocking their full potential" as he states when talking to the frozen squad after we will Superman. In my theory, he upgraded Superman by making him almost if not completely invulnerable to his only weakness. For Batman, Braniac removed his no kill rule, unleashing Batmans full capabilities with no holding back. For Lantern perhaps his upgrade was unlimited will power even beyond death which explains why the shields don't go down despite his death? Flash's upgrade could be his fear of not being able to regen his lost limbs, explaining his regained finger as well as his (spoiler) [leaked revival]. Idk just a theory, lmk what yall think!

It works as a developing story, because things like this (the whole internet discourse) can inspire the writers to be like "Oh yeah, that's what we're gonna go with". It gives them leeway to release content, then wait and see how it develops and how it's received by the fans.
I also found it odd with how damaged the flash got, cos we know his healing factor is crazy fast yet he just wasn't healing, that could just be for the plot of the game but if so thats a major flaw in the game also with green lantern I thought the ring leaves a person or stops working if they are using it for evil, its even in the oath "in brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight" yet he used it for evil? and we saw that with Hal in injustice as well as sinestro so wouldn't the ring had left John or at least stopped working for him

If you beat the game when you fight Braniac he has taken over the Flash’s powers, which makes me think we’re just going to keep fighting the justice league over and over. 1. The green lantern ring might be the power ring, which is why it affected King Shark’s psyche when he put it on.
2. I think Superman could also be some Bizarro clone, given the fact you get the Bizarro notorious weapons afterwards.
They'll recast Batman. He's had multiple new voice actors in animation. Jensen Eckles had been great in the animated movies.

I think the copium answer would be that Brainiac just copied and pasted the memories/experiences in the possible clones‚ so that he wouldn't have flash run into a wall or something. Other than that I got nothing.

Everyone confused about the lantern ring, its this simple: The ring was corrupted by braniac which is why John Stewart kept his powers. Braniac was manipulating not only John’s will but also the ring itself. This is exactly why the ring didnt fly away when he was killed. King Shark was only able to harness the powers of the ring for a short period before the rings corruption took over him too. U can see the moment he snaps into the braniac bloodlust and the shot of the ring plopping into the water is symbolic of the ring being a fraud as opposed to it gracefully flying away the way theyre supposed to.
Quite sure its a hard rule that super man is actually only weak to kryptonate from his native dimension so it might just be a a different one group.

That makes a lot of sense! I mean, Brainiac as a final boss takes the form/shape of The Flash plus uses his powers. Some enemies also get to use Flash's powers as well so, why not having copies of the Justice League? I'm almost certain this is the case.

Whether correct or not, i like this theory because it's in line with 2 things I heard in the Insider Episode 3. Rocksteady said what's very cool about the NARRATIVE of SSKTJL is that there's almost no limit on where they can go. They also mentioned that the characters that we would get to see over time would be similar to a periodic comic book release. I think that's a strong hint of a different, but risky move Rocksteady are undertaking: A narrative that spans several episodes, with twists and turns, characters that seemingly die and are reborn. Our discussions centered on which issue is our least/most favorite, just like comics.
Rocksteady are attempting to redefine what it means to tell a story.

I don't believe they verbally commented on Flash having his finger back, but they did acknowledge it visually. No way were Flash's hand gestures an accident. At one point he spread his arms and fingers out like he's about to hug someone, that shot alone was all the acknowledgement I needed.
For me What happened to aquaman and cyborg tho. It would also be nice to see martian manhunter and green arrow. They better come out in dlcs then

Besides the life service I think it just came down to bad timing, a lot of people want Rock Steady to do with Superman game and instead you get a game where you kill him, and the entire league not to mention still trying to ride the hype of The Last Suicide Squad movie is kind of weird with how much time has passed
It’s only done bad before people immediately went to the boss fights without knowledge and started shitting on it, I’d doubt that they actually went through the story.
i feel like this story is actually going to get better, as throughout the game these characters get their "revenge" but after the fact they realize its wrong, not just because theyre dying weirdly and arent sticking to the canon BUT they regret killing them, especially once they realize waller is just using them, so if they have a chance to save the JL from brainiac they could still have their heroic moment

I hope the theory is right, but I’ve gotta chalk most of the discrepancies up to writing.
At the beginning of the game, there’s a scene where Wonder Woman lassos Boomerang and asks him what they did with Flash, then he lies about how he got Flash’s finger (even swears that it just “fell off”).
It is kinda true, he just got angry and accidentally swiped flashes thumb.
I personally think that the Justice League gets resurrected and regenerated rather than it being cloning. Cloning feels like a bit of a cop out imo. The audio logs definitely point towards it being the real Justice League, they just got resurrected.
One thing that could work now that kevin has past, is a new batman game for the arkham universe with the introduction of earth 2 thomas wayne batman being set up with a new take in this game. It would explain the voice actors changing without recasting the arkham batman. We already have Earth 2 lex in the game. We have seemingly earth 2 deadshot heavily hinted at in the tapes you unlock. (with lex 2 woundering who is smart enough to leave Earth 2 before he did and bring the new deadshot with them, in the same auido tapes). We could get earth 2 thomas wayne wanting to avenge his son after finding out he was killed again in this universe before he could meet him.
So nobody is gonna bring up the face brainiac states “so you’ve manage to kill MY justice league” they literally spell it out for you after all the little hints during the story
- The biggest flaw of this game honestly is that we're weeks into this alien takeover, not just days. If weeks, this threat should have gone beyond Metropolis' borders by now.
- Counterpoint RE The Flash... a being like Brainiac that has the ability to REWRITE a living creatures neurons & brain synapses to remove empathy & make them think that protecting the creation of a new planet over their existing one has the medical nanotechnology necessary to regrow a simple pinky finger. Plus, I feel like ONE of the members of TFX would have noticed & commented on the Flash having his 10th finger back (even as a joke) if it was supposed to mean something.
- As for Green Lantern still having his ring... The League members' personalities were left intact, more or less, save for a complete lack of empathy, added aggression, and a realignment in priorities. The League saw protecting the creation of New Calu the same as if they were restoring a broken Earth. As such, in Lantern's mind, he WAS still a good guy doing the right thing, and he WAS fighting evil doers. It may take the ring a click to pick up on the nuance.
- All due respect to Kevin Conroy, if Rocksteady did this to the Arkhamverse, they would ABSOLUTELY recast Batman if needed. Or simply introduce a Batman from another universe which is why he would look/sound different. There are several decent Batman v/o artists as is.
