Rock in Symphony Vol. 1 - "Stairway to Heaven" (Led Zeppelin)

Ausschitt vom Konzert "Rock in Symphony - Vol. 1) am 17.07.21.
Ein riesiger Erfolg war unser letztes Konzert vor der Sommerpause „Rock in Symphony“ am Samstag (17.07.21) auf dem Volksplatz in Borna.
Die tollen Solisten Jasmin Graf und Daniel Splitt sowie die hervorragenden Musiker der Rockband (Georg Spiess, E-Gitarre; Arne Donadell, Keyboards; Jacob Müller, Bass; Dominique „Gaga“ Ehlert, Schlagzeug) rockten zusammen mit dem LSO an diesem Abend bei besten Sommerwetter.
Julia Zabolitzki moderierte das Programm.
Stephan König war es mit seinen Arrangements hervorragend gelungen, den Hardrock von „Let Zeppelin“ und „Deep Purple“ mit dem symphonischem Sound eines klassischen Sinfonieorchesters zu verbinden. Das dies so gut funktionierte, hat viele Besucher verblüfft und begeistert.

The music is a masterpiece. The orchestra plays beautiful 7/10. But the singer voice Na’ Que Ver. Better interpret another genre. Even this guy dressed like that…horrible. But still good to hear this Zeppelin’s song during this century… Sorry , sorry .

This went pretty OK for the first five minutes. You then anticipate its going to turn to the worse when the two girls enter the scene. We understand that the male singer wont come near the high pitched tones after the guitar solo that is coming up. Also the guitar solo comes out quite well even not even in the same galaxy as Jimmy Paige's. However, the finish was a total catastrophy! Awful. Its like someone trying to copy Mona Lisa ands gets a few lines OK but ending up whith a headfooter (the first pictures of a human as painted by two year olds)

A good musical interpretation as it is symphonic, it clearly does not have all the punch of the original rock version but it still sounds good. The really bad thing is the interpretation of the singer whose voice is not enough to live up to said composition, there the girls from the choir come out to rescue the last part by raising his voice and whether to live up to it... and another point of bad taste of the singer is the clothing, totally out of place compared to the boys in the symphony and the girls in the choir... is it serious? For an event like this did he have to present himself as a lazy person? I don't know him and I imagine that he is worldwide unknown and having presented himself like this is the worst image for a song like this!
