When I told her, she was insulted that I wouldn't want to say my goodbyes and express my eternal love for her at the end. I told her, I'll do that before she puts Stairway on! I also have to come up with some memorable final last words. Maybe, I'll say "Led Zep Forever" OR. "The Stairway is Calling Me"

@@asaiira Thanks. Died from cancer too early !
I am 66 years old and I have advanced lung cancer, I don’t have much longer to go.
I never had the chance to see them live but they were the music of my formative years. I’m still an old hippie and will die as such.
I find a great deal of comfort watching The Song Remains The Same, a reminder of a more gentle and peaceful time, full of hope that human beings never allowed to happen.
I’ll be off to my own Bron-Y-Yur soon. 🤝🤝
Hope your journey is peaceful. If you haven't already, have a long talk with the Lord and have a peaceful forever.
Hi, sweetheart. I’m also an old hippie. We had the best music, didn’t we. I just hope you’re in no pain. I don’t know what else to say. Good night, my love.

Im sorry for your loss, I played it at my mom’s funeral last year June , she was 2 months away of being 70. She introduced me to this band when I was a kiddo. Still the best rock group ever. She was a hippie in the 70s , loved life, cared 1000% for my brother and me . Good and bad times she was always there. Supporting and understanding even when life situations didn’t made sense. I would go steal bill gates all his money if this would just make me able to just have a phone call with her.

One of the most beautiful things I’ve ever read. I’m feeling your pain but trust me you have all my respect.

Crazy seeing new generation of kids who haven't learnt how cringe it is to brag about listening to "older" music.
The people at this concert were the luckiest in the world.
I hadn't caught up with Zep, yet, unfortunately, or I coulda been there. A HS friend finally played "Whole Lotta Love" for me in '77, when most of my musical mind was on sex, drugs, and dancing at Studio 54 to Donna Summer between sitting inside the massive woofers on the dance floor in the days of cocaine and quaaludes, seriously in love with dance expression, and, being 16, newly 6'2", and not bad looking, having a ton of fun (and a WHOLE lotta love :) ), but not exactly the right place to hear Zep. ;) :D

Howard Stern was there. Back when Metallica did S&M at MSG he said that that was the best show he had ever seen second only to this one in ‘73.

My guitar teacher from my teen years recently passed away from cancer. He taught me how to play "Stairway to Heaven" at a lesson, when I was trying to play it. He also showed me different ways to have fun playing around with it. When I played it with another musician, I said that I play it a bit differently. If you ever feel sad, just think that Earth is million years old and somehow you managed to live in a period where you can listen to this masterpiece every time you want.
Поддерживаю друже.
Earth is not millions of years old. In fact earth is about 7000 years old. That’s a fact. The age of the earth according to science was determined by using carbon dating as well as layering in soil as well as assumptions on the creation and time needed to fossilise certain things like for example oil or the “creation” of diamonds. Carbon dating is inherently flawed because in order for it to work you need certain conditions that cannot change. As science has no way of knowing what the atmosphere was like even 200 years ago, the decay of neutrons is immeasurable in the same way. Anyway, done get lied to!

Rip.. stay strong brother..
Happy 80th birthday Jim 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m 70 years old and I was at this show at MSG in 1973 and Robert Plant wasn’t wearing a sock in his ripped jeans at the crotch; I had orchestra seats 10th row center, so I had a great view💯% The three nights at MSG were filmed and became the movie The Song Remains The Same and when the film premiered in New York City, I attended the first night of the showing and I was looking for myself when the cameras showed the audience seated in the orchestra but the camera was too fast for me to recognize myself, great show I’ll never forget that night 💯%
I’m too young to have ever been able to see a Zeppelin show live unfortunately. What was it like there at MSG that night?
@@TheBustleInYourHedgerow It was fabulous! I saw Led Zeppelin every time they performed at Madison Square Garden since 1973 until they disbanded; they were my favorite band at the time!
@@eskenazibeth that’s amazing 🤩 hope you know how fortunate you are!
@@TheBustleInYourHedgerow Yes I do. Have you ever seen the film The Song Remains The Same? If not, I suggest you watch it, you will feel like you are seeing them live💯%
@@eskenazibeth yes I seen that movie in December when I first discovered Led Zeppelin! I love it so much 😃
If you ever feel stupid just remember 15k people disliked this masterpiece
Ofcourse they did they like gangnam style better!!!
They dont know what rock means to them haaaa!!!
Ha! They probably thought it was Taylor swift from the thumbnail
They probably think that the solo has to be played exactly like the recorded version
Its litteraly the best song ever wrote tied with bohemian rhapsody
Jimmy's solo sent me to another plane of existence.
Happens to me every time! 😊
Bro he literally drunk and can't sing😂😂 why you all eating this, song Is cool btw. But you need to have opinion.
Nah i think its the drugs that did that
@@cringystingy8025no..he start used drug in 1976.
Still feel the chills in my spine we truly got a taste of heaven from them forget the drugs we you could still feel chills if you where off and usually smoke weed every day 😊
I'll be 68 soon and i feel the same way, if Stairway to Heaven is playing when i pass on i will be very okay with it. This band has always had my highest regard for being the best rock band in my lifetime. Led Zeppelin will be a part of future generations to come, the best usually are.
I am 62 years. Back again in years 1980. Oh beuatifull memory. Say hallo from indonesia❤
