I AM NOT A LOCTICIAN! ALL THOUGHTS & OPINIONS ARE BASED ON MY OWN EXPERIENCE!!
I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THE MUSIC IN THIS VIDEO
When you start your locs you palm roll the locs. After the locs grow longer the ONLY part is twisted is the NEW growth. Also you also use a (NON ALCOHOL) gel. And of course you maintain your locs by oiling your hair AND scalp. Massage the oil into your scalp. THAT'S it. I say this b/c I've had my locs over 25 years. HAVING said that to each's own.
Does palm rolling over time thin out locs?
@@UselessThings-EU74I’m wondering too im just sticking to root finger twisting so I can have thick locs
I've been a dread head for 12 years and I don't re twist but every 4mths and they are very healthy i use tea tree oil on my scalp 2x a week, and coconut oil on my locs daily. My locs are down to my behind, I Love Them 💘
Wow 12 years, that’s amazing 😍
I’ve had my locs for three years. I get a retwist every three months and haven’t lost a loc yet. Everyone hair is different. I watch these videos but do my own thing.

Can someone used Dallas hair treatment conditioner on dreadlocks?
I have just loc my hair and my hair is soft curly, I have had it loc for 8 weeks, and get it wash and treated style every 3 or 4 weeks! Is that OK
Thanks my gorgeous queen for your time and info, you those pretty Lil hands and amazing lip's womann aww 😬😬🤒🤒 smh woww simply amazing queen, have a blessed one 😘😇🙏
How can I grew my loc faster I mean can I use hairgrowth oil
When you interlocked your hair, did you use a 2 point, 3 point or 4 point rotation? I think many people have said that the higher the number, the more compact your locs may be.
I'm considering alternating between interlocking and retwisting. I think using a 2 point rotation will still allow the locs more room to fill out and not be too compact like a 4 point.
But I agree with you on not palm rolling. I would only retwist the roots for overall fullness.
Great point!! The loctician that was doing my interlocking at the time was doing the 4 point rotation.
I want to get my locs like Omarions , is that possible??
Hello Catherine😊, my locks is 6 months old, wanna know if locks can be trimmed. Your locks are so healthy and i love it ❤❤
Thank you! I’ve never trimmed my locs but I’ve seen people do it all the time online 😊
I AGREE SOME😊 EVERYONE HAIR TEXTURE AND HAIR CARE IS DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHERS😊 AND ALSO HOW FAST THEIR HAIR GROWS SO LIKE ME, I WILL WAIT EVERY 2 MONTHS, WHICH WORKS FOR ME😊 AFTER 4 YEARS LOCKED, I DECIDED TO INTERLOCK CAUSE MY ROOTS WERE PUFFY AND WOULD NOT LOCK SO, I CAN GO LONGER NOW FOR A RETWIST😊
That’s great you found what works best for you! It’s all trial & error.
Can I see the twist you had?
Hi, so I’m exactly one year loced, and I still feel my hair isn’t as thick as I want it to be. I get a retwist once every four months and I thought my hair would be think but sadly it’s not, it’s still on the think side. Do you think it’s too late to get my locs thick at this point? I want to try these tips you’ve mentioned in the video to get my locs thick I hope it’s not too late cause I’m scared they’ll remain think since I’m already a year in
Hey, are you experiencing any breakage ? A retwist once every 4 months is pretty far apart ? If you’re experiencing real age then your locs would def be on the thinner side
@@Thecatherinealexandrawhat real age i’m sorry i never heard of it before my bad lol
@@francinemaultsby8530 breakage *
I started with braids , now I do got good naps hair but I want thicker locs, what should I do 😢 I'm 60 and trying to leave my baby something when I go

Hello! Your locks are so fire! How many of them have you?
Thank you !! I have 92 locs 🫶🏾✨
Your hair looks just like mine ❤❤❤ love it
i started off with small parts and a lot of locs will my hair get thicker overtime? im getting retwist every 2 months
As they mature and develop into locs they’ll thicken up, just give it time !
@@Thecatherinealexandraokay cause I got my old dreads put back in but want them to grow thicker will they cause I got em attached back?
ru from NY?
I had my locs for 2 months can i put a rinses on it
I’ve never used rinses before so unfortunately I can’t answer this question.
So over the past year I had a lot of thinning and breakage , I got my hair retwisted 4 times last year and no matter what I do do it it’s not getting thicker .
You may need to retwist more often! Depending on your hair type going without a retwist for a prolonged amount of time can cause breakage.
@@Thecatherinealexandra ok thank you .
Hey sis. I started my Locs March 2023 .Thicknesses and growth I’m getting there gradually. I Retwist every 4 weeks till my hair locs. But for some reason my locs are not staying in when I Retwist, it quickly come apart after Retwist. I’m very hands on when it come to my hair and skin. I oil my scalp, make sure it stays Clean. But for 7 months now into my locs journey, I feel like my hair should be locs and not coming apart. My locs tech is great, but I think something is not going right with my locs. I’m getting the thickness and growth, but I just feel like my hair should be locs by now and to drop, and I’m not getting that. Any advise please and suggestions? Because I’m on my way to a year now, at least my hair should be able to bounce, because is not locs I’m not getting that vibes. I’m new to the locs community help me out please. Don’t want to get frustrated or switch my locs tech. May be she need to try something else or what? I know locs go through stages and time to get to your desires goals, but 7 months now, my hair should be on the path to locs and drops which will give it that bounce vibes when I move my hair. Please help me out.

A major way to prevent hair breakage of ANY hairstyle is to clip the ends.
That is true for loose hair, but that doesn’t apply to locs.
Not with locs sis

BLACK People Running down simple tips to thicken thin locs!!!
Thanks for this.
My locs are thinning am getting tempted to cut and start again.
Am two and a half years in, styled after every retwist, so tightly at times😔
I feel like loc styling after retwisting def contributes to breakage. I see so many women who style after getting their hair retwisted and keep it in for as long as they can. I think it’s too much tension placed on the scalp and leads to thinning at the roots. I would avoid styling it for a while & lightly retwist it and see if your roots thicken back up.
@@Thecatherinealexandra thank you. I will hold out for a while
Me too! Mines are thin too. I have been loc since 2006. My Parts are wider and looks like im missing hair Down the middle of my hair.
Just wanted to let you guys know that Jesus is coming back soon! Please repent and get to know the Lord before He comes!
