- My Reaction to the final dragon tear and getting the master sword!

Zelda undergoing draconification hits so much harder when you take into account all the things she's done to help Hyrule and its people. By the time TOTK takes place, she's been living with Link for about five years. During that time, she's been helping the people of Hyrule rebuild, she started a research team with Purah, and she even established a school in Hateno where she was a teacher (and became a sort of surrogate mother to one of the girls in attendance). She was living her life and cultivating a love for Hyrule, it's culture, history, people, and wildlife, in a way she hadn't been able to before. And she made this choice to ensure the future of the kingdom she loved so much, even if it meant she wouldn't be there to see it.

Tears of the kingdom gives Zelda s Lullaby a whole new meaning. Heartbreaking.
She was there all along. When you finish the tutorial island she is the dragon who breaks the clouds for you right after you gave your broken sword into her time portal.
This was such a dark and unsettling fate for Zelda. Every time I see her flying I get chills a bit, because WOW, what a sacrifice, and what a sad fate it is for you to lose yourself into a dragon form and fly around for way more than 10,000 years. It’s heartbreaking to think about.
you can tell by the way she hesitates and tells herself “you must” that she is SO scared…but she does it anyways, because her people need her to. and THAT’S why it’s called The Legend of ZELDA
I have nothing in terms of hard proof that this is the case, but I wonder if nintendo is hinting that she actually wasn't just flying in the skies above for thousands of years. When we pull the sword she takes us somewhere that doesn't look like the skies of hyrule, it looks heavenly and has the same color as her sacred sealing power. I wonder if she was able to enter the sacred realm and stay there most of the time, allowing the sword to soak in the sacred power of that realm in addition to her own power. Once the upheaval began she was called back to hyrule with the powered up sword.
Again, no hard proof to back that up, but it makes sense to me.

There's a few details about the last scene that become more impactful after you get far enough into the game.
Right at the beginning, when Zelda says she's counting on Mineru, I thought at first that she was talking to the construct or something. But after doing the Fifth Sage questline, I realized that Mineru was the Poe that entered the Purah Pad.
Also, at the end of the cutscene, as Zelda flies up, you can see the other sages in the foreground, just standing and watching. They know that they've just witnessed one of the most self-sacrificial acts possible.
Zelda eating the ancient stone and becoming a dragon was pretty sad i cried too

Hello!! Greetings from 🇺🇸 Tears of the Kingdom is phenomenal!!
At least you got the Sword so early in the Game, it has a base damage of 30 that can be increased with Fuse and durrability of 40 (which cannot be increased by fuse due to a Glitch) state the strongest weapon that you have in your arsenal, over time you would have gotten weapons which potentially deal more damage if you do specific things like Flurry Rush with Royal Gear or similar
When I played TotK in the beginning for the most part I was pretty dissapointed in how little they changed from BotW core gameplay-wise and how the dungeons and everything you do in the game goes by the same excact formular. But damn was I blown away by Zelda being the White Dragon, the whole story behind it and the whole finale of the game. They couldn't have wrote that any better. Really saved the game for me and left an amazingly positive and satisfying impression of the game as a whole.
It hits Very hard in the feels, yet, she remains, even during Link's time. I always get lost in thought after seeing that. You need 2 full stamina wheels to get it. Sorry if this is spoilers.

Link reincarnates. More accurately, the Hero reincarnates.
From what I remember, only Skyward Sword Zelda is a reincarnation. She is the Goddess Hylia as a mortal.
27:11 Most people can’t see Dragons. Same goes for other creatures, like Koroks. Only the pure hearted and children can. Ganondorf can probably still see them even though he is evil, since monsters also have the ability to see them, and he is the Demon King.
The "Not Seeing" mostly only applies for average Mortals, Ganondorf is far from Mortal and so are the Monsters, they all are part of the Demon Tribe, you can destroy them but you have to bind their spirits to prevent them from Respawning (That's why there are the Shrines of Light in the past) but otherwise they all are also potentially immortal, meaning they can actually see Koroks and Dragons in Theory

This scene shook me a LOT. I didn't really cry, but I was just nearly stumbling before sitting down in stunned silence at what I witnessed...
TotK Ganondorf is now in the middle of my Ganon tier list because pros: voiced by Matt Mercer and epic design, cons: killed Sonia, Rauru, and drove Zelda to turn into a dragon for over 10,000 years.
I both love this Demon King and despise him with every fiber of my being...
I was in denial until the last second…
I didn't cry, but not because I didn't care, but because when I streamed the game someone came in to spoil everything, ending included and peaced out. it's demotivating but I still love the game anyway.

The reveal dawned on me when I was just messing about in the sky and found the light dragon randomly and spotted what was on her head… 😭😭😭😭
@@creamoftomatosoup oddly enough, I never actually saw the light dragon until after I did the Tears quest, then she was almost always in the sky.
I guess it wasn’t that obvious to me because I did see a ton of other people see her right away while I just explored without a clue in the world. 😂
@@urninn The Depths was a shock to me. I knew there would be underground areas like the various caves throughout the overworld, but I had no idea there was an entire new map to explore underneath everything.
I’ll tell ya, when Nintendo decides to turn what originally was planned to be DLC for BotW into a full game, they don’t hold back on making it worth the effort.

I think it's actually closer to 20,000 years, or maybe even more. We don't know the exact time, but we know it was a LOT more than 10,000 years. 10,000 years ago was the last emergenge of the great calamity before BOTW, when it was defeated by the hero and divine beasts. And it had been said that that was nowhere near the first appearance of the calamity. And we know that the calamity didn't even start appearing until Ganondorf's seal "leaked" enough malice.
When Dragon Zelda just makes Dagon Gannon look like a punk by dodging his big bitey move I was just thinking to myself "bro stop you're embarrassing yourself. She's been doing this dragon shit for the last 10,000 years. Your dumbass hasn't even been a dragon for 10 minutes."

Wouldn't work. With how the game works, you can't pause to eat during the sword retrieval, and if you attempted, it would throw you off instantly.
You want to talk about showing feelings, emotions? I can’t cry for the love of god. I’m emotionally dry, I cannot feel anything thanks to the past relationships I’ve lived through. Miscarriage, used for what I own and body, mentally abused, cast aside without a second thought. Plus true love betrayed me!!!!!
Barely any hearts... it seems you didnt do enough exploring of the world and enough shrines and rushed through the game...
