Tried this today. It's come out so delicious. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. I had halved the ingredients as I was just testing the recipe out but wow, it turned out great. Next time will make a larger batch. Thank you!
I just ordered an air fryer and bought wheat flour and then UA-cam suggested this recipe. Perfect. ;D I can't wait for my air fryer to get here tomorrow. This is the first thing I am making.
You don’t need to add sugar to yeast to activate it, flour will do it. However, you can check whether your yeast is dead or not using sugar. It looks like you had dead yeast.

I have baked 100% whole wheat bread for years, and I have never had a problem with it. Yes, the dough can be a little more stiff to work with, but there is no kneading in this recipe, so I don’t see how you could find it problematical? I’m going to make it as soon as I convert the metric measurement of the flour!😊
I tried making this twice first at 180 degrees and my bread wasn’t fully cooker from inside. Then next time i did 160 for a longer time but it turned out worse, very gewy and uncooked.

I tried this recipe by following exact same method but it didn’t work. i think you missed to mention about adding sugar to activate yeast.

Same with me - I followed the recipe. put it to proof(RISE) for 60 mins .....BUT there was no risen dough !!!
