No the nonstick is not the issue. It's the acralamide that is produced in starches when heated rapidly is the problem. In crisp browned air fried starches like French fries it's hundreds of times more than oil fried food.

I am quite a regular user of airfryer on daily basis for veggies etc, hydrating tgem a little bit before sauting in pan as that allows to use less oil or sometimes using for french fries. Caption fix - is it healthy to have roasted food on a daily basis.
    Short Answer - No
Bit longer answer - Roasting/Airfrying,grilling or baking vegetables does destroy a good amount of micronutrients and produce more harmful acrylamides than boiling, steaming, stewing or flash frying (frying with new oil* (will increase calories by a huge margin which creates another problem))
For proteins , there is barely any micronutrients, so roasting/grilling/airfrying would still be fine expect for acrylamides still being present.
(But honestly worrying about acrylamides is superficial when majority of foods in india are made with highly processed and possibly hydrogenated oils)
Solution - Boiling , Stewing , Streaming , making Curry with minimal oil or fats or eating it Raw (only for veg )
And this is whole highly superficial and doesn't really affect your health as bad as having fried food in reused oil or having excessive processed foods on daily basis.

This man Krish is the so delusional that even after seeing all the scary health concerns that this generation is going through due to modern cooking and food culture, he is talking dangerously positively about the modern methods... What is tragic is that there are many peoples who seem to agree with his nonsense... Please think twice before aligning with these kind of thoughts.
