My favourite knife at the moment is the fallkniven f1x in elmax. Nice size and the convex is great for food prep and and wood work.
    Highly recommend.

When i Find A Magic spot i leave my camera and my phone in the bag too i know what you mean.. Is a ScandiVex the original Scandi I was told it was impossible to get flat scandi by hand back then. ? thanks some beauties!

Yeah, I think theres some truth to that. I think theres lot of scandis with some convex already in them. And with time, with hand sharpening and stropping the blade tend to have al least slight convex. Happened to practically all my puukkos with time.
Thanx for watching, and have a great day!🌲🔪🌲

    Beautful place. 👍
I have the GNS in sabre too. I personally prefer the scandi... I also have one in full flat grind with a convex edge. It's thinner and a laser.
The Canadian Belt Knife didnt make the video!!! 😲😟 (Just kidding! Lol!)
    I really want a tommi puukko... 😟

Im loving more and more my GNS. God the handle is gorgeous.
The LNH could make to every list of my best outdoor knives. It would be definitely on the list of 3 best knives of the year. This time the versitale wonder, the true chameleon of all my knives took a well deserved resting day at home😂 Kiitos kun katsoit!🌲🔪🌲

@@OldForestBushcraft Between you and me, I think I prefer the GNS design to almost any bushcraft knife out there, even my LNH. It is an AMAZING knife, and of the ones I own, I prefer the scandi hands down, for the woods.
Almost everything I cut while in the bush is wood. The amount of "food prep" I do while outside is minimal, and truthfully, I could do most of it with a sharp rock! I think the "food prep" issue is overworked and is largely academic - a talking point for the forums and internet. A scandi GNS can do bush time food prep perfectly well. (The exception being, for example, digging something like peanut butter out of a jar. But then, in less than 2 minutes, you could so easily fashion a make shift wooden utensil to do that!)

      Yeah I definitely agree.
The thing is overworked, theoretical. The amount of food prep. That I do at the end in the woods is minimal. And even of the food prep I do, its normally not very sophisticated fine cutting etc., that a scandi couldnt easily manage.
The one thing in this season for which I loved to have a good slicer (I carried the Kephart, LNH, Brisa Bobtail flat) was foraging specially Porcinis, or other big Shrooms. There is nice to have a slicer. But thats short period, and very niche.
The Gns is truly amazing. So so so happy I bought it!! @@kanukkarhu

@@OldForestBushcraft Right. I forgot about mushrooms, probably because I don't pick them. But that's a great point - you'd want a flat grind for that I bet. Good point. 👍

Wow beautiful lake, really nice Tommi. I like that one. Hope your daughter enjoyed the mushroom pie.
There was a wolf in Hetta recently too. It got shot quite promptly after killing a lot of reindeer.

She did! Her favorite though is mustatorvisieni😂. Was happy to "found" this lake. Will go fish there in few days.
Read about the Wolf in Hetta in the newspapers. The population is growing fast in Finland. Here is so much Wolfs at the moment where I live. Saw three times this year, and hear them all the time. I will put a riistakamera in near future in my garden, so much wildlife going on at nights😂.Just yesterdy was Lynx visiting. Thanx for watching Tim!🌲🔪🌲
