I have size large hands. The one glaring issue that I've had with Bark River Knives is the small size (circumference) of their handles. This causes cramps and fatigue when using for longer periods of time.. Good aerodynamics cannot make up for a loose grip.

Appreciate your thoughts on these. Both obviously excellent tools. I own 3 BRs and several scandis. Each grind type has it’s pro and cons, as you said. For me, the convex best fits my needs (eg., Game processing and fire prep). Both grinds are capable, but the convex is probably more enjoyable. The convex on BRs and Falknivens are surprisingly good feather stickers, and BRs are a superior tool for game.

I haven't had any QC issues in the last 3 years. I think it's an old story that won't die. I think sometimes two people forget that these are handmade and there will be slight variations here and there. Having said that I've never seen any issues. I thought about 15 in the last 3 years.

Sorry folks got toxic on you for expressing your personal thoughts on the previous video, that's not cool. You're always clear that the views you express are just your opinions and are up front about the limits of your knowledge or experience, and I'm sure you subscribed to these same policies on the other vid. I really enjoy your content and I hope you don't feel you need to shy away from sharing your opinions in the future because I value them.

both can get the job done the Genesis splits wood better with its scandi grind and the bravo slices food better but the difference is negligible

Are you ever going to wet form your LT wright sheath? I did mine and it is sweet! Just rubbing warm water on it and pushing down with my fingers was all it needed.

A2 is not tougher than magnacut.

Technically where toughness comes into play tool steel is tougher. Magnacut maintains its edge corrosion resistant and it’s tougher than any of the stainless steels. It’s tougher then S35 M4 the super steels but it is not tougher then tool steels . A02 steel isn’t a premium steel it’s dependable easy to sharpen tough but will rust. Magnacut is too of the line premium steel

@@jasonmiller9495 No it isnt, this has been scientifically tested and the evidence if clearly shown on Larrin Thomas (the creator of magnacut's website). The grain structure of magnacut is smaller and better dispersed than A2. Also you are lumping in "tool steels" together. A2 is ONE specific tool steel, which in this case is NOT as tough or resistant to lateral stress or impact stress than Magnacut. Go look at the 1000x microstructure graphs on his site and you will see this.

@@jasonmiller9495 MagnaCut is very, very tough. Not just for a stainless, but in general. It's tougher than A2, 1095, and O1. It's as tough as 4V. It's a little bit behind Cru-Wear and a bit further behind 3V in toughness, but at that point we are already talking about very high toughness.
