The issue is if you want a stainless LT you have to wait months for one to ship to one of their many vendors and you have to monitor them. BRK has literally hundreds of knives for sale at DLT alone. It would be nice if both companies could strike a middle ground between availability and quality.
My most expensive knife is my Benchmade Bushcrafter which is a cool knife . I had to fix the grind into a saberVex cause their V grinds are just stupid and useless out of box. I've always just fixed any issue with my knives ..... That said once ya get into that $250-$300+ range your knives shouldn't need more work on them. Very frustrating indeed. I'm done buying expensive knives, I prefer common High Carbon Steels or good budget stainless like 14C28N, 12C27n and 154cm. I'd rather buy a Brisa knife esp one of their kits and usually save $40 . You should look into getting an LT Wright knife ...They have excellent quality control from what I've heard.

One look at Mike Stuart’s office should give you a hint of how Bark River as a company is run. And yes, my burlap micarta shrank fairly quickly after purchase. LT Wright makes great handmade knives. TRC knives are precision machine made...It may be coincidence, but all my pre-ordered BR knives came near perfect while almost all the knives I purchased after there release came flawed. (90% of flaws are on the Non-Pictured side) Many of the Micarta knives are represented by one photo so you have no idea of what your really going to get. I’ve become rather good at at refinishing the knives myself...There is no consistency between production runs. I am amazed at the quality of the few Randle Made knives I have, it can be done.
I’m sure Mr Stuart started with good intentions.
