Brilliant conversation, Ben has been such a solid performer for Sky/Ineos and has often gone under the radar for his contributions. Great to hear his story
Great video. I had the pleasure of meeting Ben in Montreal last year after the GP. Was an absolute gentleman making time to chat and with ease. I hope to see him again in the classics next year. Best of luck, Swifty, the fastest of the Swift cousins ;-)
Brilliant interview, would love to know if Ben is going to write his cycling biography soon? It would be a fantastic read! (Audible version would be nice for the car 😜)
I wouldn’t say mediocre. He’s a high end rider he’s won a few national champs not top shelf and now fading obviously . Team Ineos fell apart because Egan had issues/accident. The all the best talent (young) got snapped up and then instead of rebuilding on new talent they just tried slapping on expensive bandaids.

Enjoying these episodes mate
@ thanks 😁
Shows how doing some research before an interview might help!
A mediocre pro in a mediocre team. A nice guy for sure but the fact he gets contract after contract is emblematic of the teams malaise and decline.
