five minutes in i thought i was watching a scene out of the office with dave in his office saying that his lonely "well I'm not lonely, im a lon..er" classic comedy without trying
Thanks Brad, Team Sky coaching and management and all the great track and road champions like Cav, and Boardman earlier, for amazing memories. I started following cycling in ‘86, a whole new world opened up. I could only ever dream of Brits being prolific stage, classics and stage races winners. The whole ethos and discipline of the track, the World Performance system and simply thinking differently in a way not many had before them.
15:08 riding off on your own with your puncture repair kit strapped to the saddle just like everyone else. Very British. I think he won because the kids at the school believed in him and sang him a song.
I was a "Yank" Marine and stationed in Newquay for a year and a half. Have always had a love for the British and British sport. Bradley is a GREAT champion and seems like a really good bloke. Hope he has years of success! This was a very good video. Thanks for the upload.
The most beautiful cycling scene I ever seen: the yellow jersey Wiggins leading the way to Cavendish in the final lap. I have deep respect for Wiggins and I think he is a clean cyclist. Regards from Brazil.
I do care, hence the question. My two cents is that while we can certainly apply the "innocent until proven guilty" logic here, the timing and the subsequent concealment, which came to light much later, of the TUEs were not coincidental. I have absolutely no doubt that wiggo is a beast of an athlete and am myself a fan, but i have to admit given what we know now, it's hard not to have a bad taste in the mouth.
he's a class rider but at the top level (of every sport) doping is almost a guarantee. When big money and prestige is involved it's not surprising what people are willing to do to achieve it.
Remember watching this 3 years ago! Beautiful memories! That time I read his book "In Pursuit of Glory". The contract between 2009 and 2012 is so clear!
Bradley's thoughts during time at school with the kids. "Man, I still got a bike today." "Do I have intervals today... sprint work... yeah that's it" "I was a kilo overweight this morning... better not bring snack."
i went from an 85kg 18 year old that smoked and drank since I was 14. to 57kg running 10k under 40 minutes in just 2 years. I wish i could have ran more but my knees and hips couldn't keep up with my enthusiasm . my secret was high carb diet and a heart rate monitor. just do aerobic base training as much as long as you can. Just put the miles in! im sure there are better ways but hey. just sharing :) I quit running to do ultra endurance cycling as its more of a low impact sport; and I like the idea of cycling 500km in a day; haven't done it yet! but that's my goal!
Great movie, it´s amazing how British people and media respects and loves his athletes ... here in Spain, the races are not even on TV, imagine a documentary ... so sad I didn´t like so much Wiggo but now I´m a fucking super-fan, I like his "romantic-robotic" style
We would have had a legendary Tour if Froome and Wiggins had been racing one another, rather than Froome holding back for Wiggins in the mountains and Wiggins gapping him in the TT.It would have been great to watch.
Background of big success is always fascinating as well as the actual performance in the race. Each success had but always the same denominator: hard work, humility. Bradley Wiggins is a great role model for me, although I am not a professional cyclist
Just love this doc. Best part...or best lines, must be when he has his daughter on the phone: "Bradley Wiggins has crashed"....BW: "Yeah I know"...and then his wife explains that the daughter don´t connect the two to being dad...or rather, as two sperate beings.
One cannot achieve these things without a focus that causes you to come off as a prick. Most of us will never understand this...not that I want to. I prefer to sit back, enjoy the show and appreciate what it takes these men to even toe the line at the tour.
rosrebel Firstly, “high hole” really. Secondly when I look up Bradley Wiggins, I still see 2012 Tour de France winner by his name. He is a winner until proven otherwise.
rosrebel it’s not hard to believe that Wiggins won that Tour when you consider that Contador was serving a ban and Schleck was out injured. Cadel Evans also lost a lot of time during the opening week to Wiggins, purely through misfortune. Vincenzo Nibali was still fairly young, inexperienced and really only had an ageing Ivan Basso to help him in the mountains, whilst Wiggins had future Grand Tour contenders such as Porte and Froome to guide him to the summit of the mountains. Why would Team Sky also push this massive anti-doping stance if they were going to dope anyway. Surely that would lead to a higher fall from grace when they eventually get caught. Because we also haven’t had reports from any former Team Sky riders of structured doping within the team, similarly to how we did with the Motorola and US Postal Service teams when Lance Armstrong was winning his Tours, that also makes it hard to believe that there is anything going on inside Team Sky/Ineos. TUEs have also been around in sport for ages and the UCI are not supposed to share that information to the public. The difference those substances make on a normal athlete are not even noticeable, whilst for an asthmatic person like Froome and Wiggins they can level the playing field and allows us to see their full potential if they didn’t have asthma.
Wiggins is a cheat ....tue,s ...etc ...seriously lads ...from the track to the tour ...it’s as if usain bolt went from the 300 meters to marathon ....not particulArly believable ....it’s improbable that any winner of the tour was ever completely clean .....naivety is the willingness to not look at facts and a lazy mans ignorance to think logically and not question ones own inner believes . The sporting world at elite level will always be murky , with so much money and “ national pride ‘ at stake ...,.........as an ex athlete I recently had a conversation with a training partner of Justin Gatlin who will never accept gatlin doped ( 7 yrs banned altogether ) .......why .... because not because he is naive ( dumb maybe ) but I think even afraid of gatlin .......remember Armstrong was a complete bully ....any way ..plenty of blabbing ...but don’t let the fact that Wiggins is a true Brit get in the way of logical thought ....cyclists should long have a biological passport , and Wiggins has never legitimately answered any questions ...he knew once he had ‘ won ‘ the tour ...get out quick ......next thing people will be telling me mo Farrah really wasnt being coached by Salazar but a buddy of his from Portland ...even though he has never been interviewed properly .....😗🤯
What a Complex Person, Chilled, Not Fussed and Focused. Funny that the "Lazy-Boy" Le Tour Champions will Always refer to the Winner as a Drug Cheat..... Amazing isn't it.
The last interesting tdf. After this one it became boring with Sky dominating, all the other favorites retiring, Quintana not performing as good as they predicted... But all credit to Froome, since 2012 he has been the best
This was actually a very bizar Tour. Britain 1-2 and 3 wins for them. And 4 wins by another Brit in sprints. On top of that they won the timetrial in Britain with a 1-2. Its logic that all this raises questions looking at the history of cycling. But then the docu ends withs his Nan and thats just... you know. Thats what makes him a legend.
Still not convinced about him, he does come across as a bit of a cock in Froome's book - Wiggins invited everyone to his 'Yellow Jersey' party... except Froome ?
I didn't hear about that. What i know is that despite the ego he might have or the clashes he might have due to his competitive nature, he is a legend.
51:48 its very clear here to anyone who knows how to spot liars that he is not telling the truth. His body language is very different from the normal "dont care" type bradley, he is very animated and uses a lot of hand gestures, also his wife seems very nervous about the questions. Its 100% certain that bradley took drugs during that tour de france.
Froome was better, as he had been in the Vuelta 2011. But then Froome got to ride w/o wiggins in 2014, when Wiggins might have been useful. Not in the same way as Froome, but a useful marker of other riders. Froome has more reason to be vexed about the Vuelta. He was clearly better, and the team didn't even win. They blew his chances for someone who didn't win.
I don't think so. Cause that would be obvious and not an important thing to mention in the documentary. Also there were other riders standing there at that moment, so i think he was talking about them.
Mikkel Dreyer he was saying the reason they use the moped is because the coaches couldn't push him. That's why it's in the documentary. In his book he acknowledges that he has teammates who climb better.
Booyaaa100 But i still think he was talking about the other climbers on the training camp... Other wise it wouldn't make sense. But neither of us no for sure
when asked about drugs and doping bradley has a long and rambling answer..... they cut to Kath's face looking down... at the end of Bradley's answer she adds in ..... "but he makes a lot of people happy" almost an admission of guilt no?

Big respect to his wife for all the support over the years, what a lady!

Bradley risking everything when leading out Cav just shows what a great bloke he is
He risked nothing. He can't lose time in the final 3KM. It was a beautiful sight to see him lead Mark out though...
Fantastic documentary of the behind-the-scenes realities for Bradley Wiggins, a true champion who's down-to-earth. A great video!
Bravo, un grand champion avec beaucoup de simplicité et de sensibilité
Lovely documentary... hes down to earth and family man!!
Legend
Love from Palestine
What a fucking great athlete. When I'm out cycling, I can't help but think about what these guys do. Amazing.

I am glad Rod Stewart had a successful career after singing
lmao!! You are right, he does look like him :)
What a lag
The most beautiful cycling scene I ever seen: the yellow jersey Wiggins leading the way to Cavendish in the final lap. I have deep respect for Wiggins and I think he is a clean cyclist. Regards from Brazil.
Your thoughts now?
Who cares about my thoughts...you? Anything proved against until now?

Wander Almeida you're so fucking gullible. Do some research on Wiggins. He's far from clean.
he's a class rider but at the top level (of every sport) doping is almost a guarantee. When big money and prestige is involved it's not surprising what people are willing to do to achieve it.
Great movie and what a great support team to have on the tour. Very humble
Fantastic to see Bradley open up and share his feelings about what he went through when with Team Sky.
Remember watching this 3 years ago! Beautiful memories! That time I read his book "In Pursuit of Glory". The contract between 2009 and 2012 is so clear!
Memories :)
Bradley's thoughts during time at school with the kids. "Man, I still got a bike today." "Do I have intervals today... sprint work... yeah that's it" "I was a kilo overweight this morning... better not bring snack."
Beautiful story... and well done by the journalist who made it. Congratulations two both of them
I've lived in Kilburn my whole life and had no clue that Bradley was from here too!
Awesome doc... Loved it
The kids singing to Bradley must have been just completely surreal for him.
Keeping it all together in that moment must have been harder than the climbs to follow. What a legend!
Froome just new how good he was... both legends
the national road race champion jersey and that matching kask helmet decal looks is probably the coolest thing ever
Belgian kit still the best imho
"You making a tea Nan?" "Do you want one?" "Ah yeh that would be great, 1 sugar please"
She actually asked him how many sugars he takes.....because he probably hasnt seen her in years and this is all bs
Inspirational. Class act on and off the bike
we'll just call him Sir!
What a good documentary. Thanks for uploading this. :-)
Thanks for uploading this. Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant.

High carb (vegan) ftw - it works, you lose weight and have the energy (natural energy) to keep fit and healthy, and recovery is off the chart👍
he realy looks like a rockstar...
Yeah man 1950s go!!
Great movie, it´s amazing how British people and media respects and loves his athletes ... here in Spain, the races are not even on TV, imagine a documentary ... so sad
I didn´t like so much Wiggo but now I´m a fucking super-fan, I like his "romantic-robotic" style
+Felipe Rojas Really?? Im only a casual fan but I was led to believe cycling is much more popular and covered more in Spain
CrackityJones in Spain other sports like Football are more popular and take all the tv space
We would have had a legendary Tour if Froome and Wiggins had been racing one another, rather than Froome holding back for Wiggins in the mountains and Wiggins gapping him in the TT.It would have been great to watch.
LOL in the interview with Chris Froome, he is labeled as "Team Sky Domestique". He just won the Tour de France for the second time this afternoon.
4 now
Brad knew what he can achieve during the tour 2012
DanDXMG super domestique at a minimum, should have been co-leader
I find it very hard to like wiggins as a froome fan, so I remain impartial to him
this video gave me an inspiration for life! awesome!
Top doco. So happy for Wiggo :-) Normal guy, just really fast.
Background of big success is always fascinating as well as the actual performance in the race. Each success had but always the same denominator: hard work, humility.
Bradley Wiggins is a great role model for me, although I am not a professional cyclist
Richard Moore is most certainly the most insightful about Wiggo and his team in this documentary
You've got to be a hard man to be taking on this level of suffering. Fuck the haters. This guy is the real deal. The real deal.
Gives me determination to go faster! Thanks Wiggo, much thanks!
CTric get ur supply of EPO and blood dope, sure to go faster.
Sean McGurk I would not be satisfied with anything outside of my own blood, sweat and tears 😁
Just love this doc. Best part...or best lines, must be when he has his daughter on the phone: "Bradley Wiggins has crashed"....BW: "Yeah I know"...and then his wife explains that the daughter don´t connect the two to being dad...or rather, as two sperate beings.
What a moment when Wiggins led Cav to victory! And the hug!
Pride of GB
Love this film
i feel like i know Bradley so well now, just from a video
A really great documentary! Trully a humble man through all the success hes accumulated.
One cannot achieve these things without a focus that causes you to come off as a prick. Most of us will never understand this...not that I want to. I prefer to sit back, enjoy the show and appreciate what it takes these men to even toe the line at the tour.
just the right things to think about b4 the TT race starts !! 36:00 - 36:20
Great. Thanks for posting it.
awesome film, thanks
greetings from north of spain
great vid
Fuckin LEGEND is this!
Love the soundtrack accompanying this documentary. Anyone know the artist? Vaguely reminds me of the sparse soundscape on the film "The Proposition".
"DO YOU HAVE TESTOGEL YES MATE BUY IT WITH MONEY FROM THE BCT!!!!!"
A great moment for the UK. Great doc guys
Cheat like most off uk in sports
Awesome. Great insight into BW and what it takes to win TdF. His biography books are a great read too.
Brilliant. Thanks!
Great documentary.
Thanks for the upload.
his wife is great too
Struck me in the gut how being so humble is so inspiring.
Does anybody know something about music starting at 36:19???
It's a cacophony of farts...
See a boy from Kilburn can do anything n that's from a boy from Cricklewood....NW London Massive!
what a fucking badass, then goes and sets the hour record on top of it. what the hell.
Chris froome needs one of this
He has a similar one, made in Kenya I believe
She wouldnt let me show up in a white Roller...priceless
Cycling 🚲 legend 🇬🇧👍
I am more curious as in why his teammates/managers/coach clearly has a pretty negative perception of him .
He is not a teamplayer
A doper in yellow ...just like all winners of the tour ...
Get off your dopestrong high horse
Oh come on buddy ...just because he is a brit ....no high horse ...maybe a high hole .....

Back in a "jiffy" 🤣
Finally we get a true TdF champion - drug free! Way to go Wiggo, and may you get a few more Tour victories the right (clean) way!
William Jones II Drug fee? Brits give Knighthoods to dopers/ cheats, amazing.
@@SeanMacOirc yes like Roche & Kelly.
What a man

I didn't hear about that. What i know is that despite the ego he might have or the clashes he might have due to his competitive nature, he is a legend.
Froome comes across as such a boring man though
Oh hello 360p. It has been a long time.
what did he mean by "turn up in a white roller" ? @ 1:05:20
Rolls-Royce. His nan wouldn't let him turn up in a flash car because it's not him.
Last comment at the end of the video; "Do ya take sugar?" How can your nan not know if you take sugar in your cuppa?!
Good point...Maybe his diets changes but it doesn't sugest he often has tea with her....you're right
Fake nan?
FAKE NAN IS FAKE
It's a conspiracy!
Nan gate....and now drugs
coach seems like a good coach
we want to show this film to our bicycle club... does anyone know who to contact???
51:48 its very clear here to anyone who knows how to spot liars that he is not telling the truth. Sir Bradley Wiggins
these bikes are now worse then tier 3 brands offer hahaa it's amazing how much our perspectives change
Glad to see a focus winner. Hope Brad remains a legend
bom trabalho.
wiggins should have been riding for froome
Froome was better, as he had been in the Vuelta 2011.
But then Froome got to ride w/o wiggins in 2014, when Wiggins might have been useful. Not in the same way as Froome, but a useful marker of other riders.
Froome has more reason to be vexed about the Vuelta. He was clearly better, and the team didn't even win. They blew his chances for someone who didn't win.
The guy who should really have been vexed by the team was Cav.
Anon Ymous Wiggins didn't do the Tour in 2013, he did the Giro
DHTCF Froome was pretty much always better than Wiggins
Great person
"If we trained as athletes, non of them would be able to push me to that degree were i get the best each day..."
Chris Froome would ;)
He was talking about his coaches not his teammates.
Okay, thanks for that. But that seemed a bit unnecessary to say then. It is quite obvious ;)
Booyaaa100 But i still think he was talking about the other climbers on the training camp... Other wise it wouldn't make sense. But neither of us no for sure
Super movie
when asked about drugs and doping bradley has a long and rambling answer..... they cut to Kath's face looking down...
at the end of Bradley's answer she adds in ..... "but he makes a lot of people happy"
almost an admission of guilt no?
unbelievable but true
no, bradley says why would he risk cheating and getting caught and letting down everyone for cheating when at the end of the day its just a bike race, cath says yea but but your making a lot of people happy with it, insinuating yea to you its just a bike race but your good results are making people happy. don't take things of context mate, not classy at all.
NICE!
We ask athletes to perform on superhuman levels. And then admonish them for the manner in which they are able to perform.
“Cheating” is a word spectators use.
Let all sport and human achievement rise to it’s ultimate expression and Glory. By any means necessary.
Such a relief after the perfectly marketed Armstrong juggernaut. That story was getting so old, even when I believed he was clean. At least Wiggo has some personality.
great info, thank you!
No jiffy bag?
Sky's doping program is fucking top notch... holy shit lol
23:06 woah wiggins' father is Walter White.
I AM THE ONE WHO KNOCKS!
Whats the music in the background does anyone know ?
he already won the tour my friend :)
