WoW 🤩 I’m actually in tears here - this is exactly what I had in mind when my local church asked me (several years ago) if there was anything I wanted ~ I thought it was a bit of an odd question, but my answer was instant - I said I wanted an allotment, and they probably thought that that was an odd answer, but surprisingly enough, they were actually offered one just a few weeks later 😻. However, they didn’t share my vision and wouldn’t even entertain my ideas and at that time, I had the mental/emotional energy to get going with the project, but not to fight them just to even get it started ~ so I left them to it and let them get on with their un-inspirational ideas for the space. But now - after watching this video, and being stronger (after a severe autistic/adhd burn out) in myself, I am re-inspired to get started with my ideas to bring the community together, through plants and food ❤️ thank you 🙏🏽
Wow. I wish my community had something like Harlem Grown. That is so important & such a blessing to the community. I'm amazed by the generosity & caring.
What an Amazing Panel of People...I have so much Gratitude & Respect for those that are stepping up to make HUGE changes on our Amazing Planet....So Touching & Exciting! Thank You Summer!
Hi 👋 summer , thank you for this video because I got to learn more about our beautiful NYC that we live in and learn about good hearted people like Tony that changes kids life’s everyday, I actually teared up while he was talking. Thank you guys for all your hard working efforts 🙏❤️🌹
Once again great coverage of the plant swap and the panel. This we get to come along and good news about farming in New York city and introducing soil and growing to great kids.
OMG the community projects are so amazing. The speakers telling about their projects--WOW. I'm so impressed and proud of them (even though I'm Canadian). LOL. The plant swap is something I should put some serious thought to. There is one put on by a club but I think there would be considerable interest because plants and foraging is pretty 'hot' right now. Thanks for sharing this video. Amazing people doing amazing things for others.
Hello Summer, I'm only new to your videos and have watched them all. I absolutely love your plant of the day, so look forward to them. I have just got my library in Melbourne Australia to order your book which they have done, so looking forward to reading it
This was an amazing video, it would have been such an honor to be a part of this great cause. New York is really far, and maybe someday I will get there, oh yes plant dreams! Thank you so much Summer, and I find it amazing you have a chicken that obviously loves you, so cool. Have a great weekend.
It would be great to have something like that in the Netherlands :'( To my knowledge there aren't many plant-swap events here (actually I know only one, in Wageningen). I think people would get crazy for such events here (as in the NL almost everyone is obsessed with plants). I hope there will be more in future...
A couple people literally do tho. The lady from the Philippines, in the l.a. plant swap, literally couldn't get or bring any plants, bc she was gonna travel back home, to the Philippines. Plenty of people travel long distances for a single event
These initiatives give me true hope for humanity. And tears in my eyes! This is the way to go..and grow
What a great cause!! You are doing something ....be proud!!
Summer, you're the best! What a wonderful group of people. If only everyone were this caring, imagine what a better world this would be.

So inspiring, I love how the community comes together during this swap.

Much love from Phoenix! I'm a fairly new subscriber, but have learned so much from your uploads already. Peace!
Thank you do much for this! Hope there's another one this year...
What a great cause!!! I love this!

Keep up the work
Watching this in 2020 is going to make me cry...
I had to work or I’d have driven into NYC! Next time! And I’m gonna organized something here in the meantime :)
Beautiful. *heart melting*
So inspiring! Very interested in looking up Dig In in Boston and would love to get involved with an org like Harlem Grown local to me.

What's the name of the person who makes the pottery? Thanks for sharing!
I love that Tony from Harlem Grown! I went to their website to donate but it wouldn’t let me so I’ll try again later.
I'm from the Dominican Republic! Who was that there? Let's do a swap meet here! Wish I was there. 💚
Rip apricot! Glad this keeps going!
Love you. You're the best!
Good jobs , love from Hong Kong, hope we can hv this kind event in here

It's really great
I wanted to go to this so badly 😭
Aww poor Patrick, the awkwardness he must’ve felt when he’s went for the shake and she turned her head.. eeek.
I wished i was there!
I’m not able to host a plant swap but it would be great to go to one near Pennsylvania! Harrisburg/Philadelphia/Lancaster etc Anyone else?
Great.
Ugh. I'm still bum'd about not being able to make this. *sigh*
Wished to be there
Dommage que je soit si loin...🌱
2:16 lmao the cringe
It would be a great video if the main part wouldnt be a 2 min brief. For real the sponsores get more attention than the plants
I am so jealous
👌👍😍
sorry you lost Apricot
Come on Summer! Those people not from the US live here, they don't travel from they natives countries just to come to one event...
A couple people literally do tho. The lady from the Philippines, in the l.a. plant swap, literally couldn't get or bring any plants, bc she was gonna travel back home, to the Philippines.
