This may sound silly but your videos I love best are of this kind. Kinda vlog-like with just you, planting nice little baby plants in your home. It's so chill.
Always exciting to see what appears from the unwrapping! ~ 'plant pets' arriving at their new home. I even find the types of packaging fascinating. Particularly like the sculptural Haworthia coarctata and the delicate trailing Hoya linearis ~ so worth the care you lavished on it with the mixed/layered substrate. I'm trying to find that variety of Haworthia again as I did my usual and overwatered my first one!
I would love a video on how you stay organized in general. You seen to have so many great hacks for keeping yourself on schedule with projects and managing your daily schedule.
malindarayallen I believe she already has a video about that that I remember watching, I would recommend looking through the videos to find the video you seek.
Summer has a MacGyver garden hose as she calls it hooked up to her sink, after this potting video I envisioned one of those fancy vacuum cleaners that are built into the house and you pull the hose right out of the wall and vacuum up stuff. In reality we want Rosie the robot off of The Jetsons to come out and clean it up but that's still a little bit in the future but not too far.
For plant tags, I learned a trick from Sean and Edible Acres. Cut up an aluminum soda / beer can, and you can write with a hard stylus and imprint the words into the label. Like embossing, or stonecarving. Then you can marker into the indentation.
When the weather is nice, I have cuttings from my East garden you are welcome to have. Twisted hoya, carnosa, strawberry and cream, oh and a pup, from my bright star bromeliad it looks like gator hide. Happy growing.
I really love your videos, I am planning to make a garden on my roof, I changed my roof into a platform so I can have a garden with tropical vines such as philadendron of different types. I live in Central America and I am eager to visit a nurcery and find out what I can find. Your videos hace given me a pretty good idea.
Some cool additions, very nice! I am really on Hoyas too. 2:00 uhm... as for me I don't like that... because if they had pests then the pests can easily infect many of your already established plants in your home. When I get plants with that bulk of soil on the roots I instantly throw it *outside of my house* and I meticulously wash the roots so I can see what is going on there. In that way I am making sure that no pests can infect my already established plant collection. 3:52 wow, first time I see that _Haworthiopsis_ species, amazing! 5:20 added to my wishlist, did you know, it produces male and female flowers! Very interesting! 9:44 I have experienced the same with my _Hoya heuschkeliana._ It arrived in a bad shape, even though it was shipped from Germany to the Netherlands and during spring with moderate temps. Luckily the seller sent me another one and it grows steadily now. I personally would put the _Hoya linearis_ in a nice hanging pot, and it would grow nicely long tendril-like stems. But you have so much space for plants there 🙂
Same Love to add to my Hoya collection..just getting started..garden centers just don't have them..why I don't understand since tgey are so popular now💚🌱💗🤗
I did not know there were plants you did not have lol! It surprised me that hoya linearis is a hoya. My neighbor has a huge hoya she will give me cuttings this year. I'm looking forward to that. I really like this video.
as much as i love hoya, and i use to have more, but i could no longer afford to buy them, and they do not sell them wehre i live, so i had to keep the 5 i have and live with it, i do not understand using bark in plants, i never even did that in orchids, i grow mine in water, that solves the problem haha
Hi Summer. I love your Blog, and love even more your unpacking videos. So many new plants I didn't know existed. NOTE:😱HOPE!!! you got rid of the Cienpiés...they are mean and their sting is awfull and painfull. Did not see Kippee around. Say Hi for me.
Some fabulous finds! I never realized people bought plants via mail! I love your channel. Would you ever consider doing a video on book recommendations on houseplants, going from simple to actual Botany? :)
Awesome video, love watching when plant lovers get plant hauls, so exciting just like Christmas in the spring, lol. Thank you for sharing, bye for now.
Hoya linearis is suprisingly kinds easy to propagate, esp with water. But my problems always when i repot it in soil, they always have root rot 😞😞.. and i i save it by putting it back in water 😅😅.. so it is a delicate plant still.
Please do a Hoya care video! I’ve been scared to get into them but have a feeling that the Hoya bug will bite me this growing season lol Fun unboxing🤗 congrats on your new plant babies
Due to your vlog, Summer Rayne and a few other UA-cam vloggers I've been able to keep a whole host of plants alive over the past 2 years and I can't thank you enough for all your helpful videos! I think I'm now ready to begin purchasing some more rare plants online so may I ask if there are particular sellers on eBay that you'd recommend? PS - I found the Potted Elephant on IG and plan to attend their Open Greenhouse on the 28th! 🤗 Thanks for introducing us all to so many cool new plants and places to acquire them!! Oh and PSS - A Hoya video would sooo appreciated. 😊 Again, great job! ❤🌱☘🍀😊
Awesome haul and potting :) I've been totally hunting for the hoya linearis, it seems like everyone has them in Europe, saw them on ebay (from EU) and like you said pretty pricey... one of these days.
Lovely unboxing! Can you explain how you cope with the humidity in your apartment? I have a large plant collection and and the amount of damp soil, misting etc etc can cause problems.
Jayme-lee Hill if you look through her videos, she has several house plant tours. Right now she said she has over 1,000 if I remember correctly from a video over a week ago.
I used leftover orchid bark mixed with potting soil and have pretty good luck. People say to let them go dry, but when mine crinkle they're saying hey, not completely dry okay?
Hello Summer Rayne, I love your channel and you are doing a great job, but you produce so much garbage in ordering your beautiful plants online! It`s still garbage, even if it`s recyclable. Does it have to be that way, I wonder?! Anyway, thank you for your video & greetings from Germany :)!
This may sound silly but your videos I love best are of this kind. Kinda vlog-like with just you, planting nice little baby plants in your home. It's so chill.
SevenClouds yesss agree 🙌🏽 I think a lot of people agree judging by the fact this video has no dislikes
I agree too 🤩🥰🙌👏👍
It’s so amazing that we can purchase so many unusual species that in years past even a botanical garden might of had difficultly obtaining.
How exciting !

Hoya care video = yay!🎉😍
Plant unboxing videos are the best!

"I don't know where that packing peanut has been." 🤣🤣🤣 Love it! Thanks for a great video! 😁🌱🌿👍

Love your videos but I can't find your camera person's credits. Your camera person is great, need to see some credit for them pls!

Hoya care video would be great!
I love plant mail. 🌱🙋🏻♂️🙌🏼😍
Enjoyed your unboxing. Your new plants are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. I love this channel cause I’m always learning something new.
I always have the hardest time with the "easiest" houseplants. I don't know how you can keep all of them so beautiful
i love small leaves of plants ...all of them are adorable
That look when you saw the non biodegradable packing peanuts really needs to be on t-shirts & posters! 😄👍
Three cheers for a hoya care video 🙌
Summer, you are awesome! I love your videos and your love for plants!
The UPS store will take foam peanuts and reuse them.
That was a lot of fun. Thank you for sharing.
Loving that Hoya Linearis! What an exciting afternoon unwrapping plants! 🌱🌱🌱

You have such a nice deep window that you could get a set of shelves the same width as the sill and add even more plants. :)
Some cool additions, very nice! I am really on Hoyas too.

Love this video! Do you mind sharing the ebay seller? I really love the Xerosicyos Perrieri but can't find it anywhere online.
That would be a really helpful info, especially because the seller is obviously trustworthy. :)
LOL those sellers need to give her commission if she does
Me too! Though the box looks like Amazon ... please share.
Same Love to add to my Hoya collection..just getting started..garden centers just don't have them..why I don't understand since tgey are so popular now💚🌱💗🤗
Those Hoyas are amazing. Can you link the seller?
I did not know there were plants you did not have lol! It surprised me that hoya linearis is a hoya. My neighbor has a huge hoya she will give me cuttings this year. I'm looking forward to that. I really like this video.
Love the mesh you put at the bottom of the pot? What is it? Thanks for the vid x

Awesome video, love watching when plant lovers get plant hauls, so exciting just like Christmas in the spring, lol. Thank you for sharing, bye for now.
Love this!
Jenna Marbles just started her plant collection. She fell in love with Hoya. I bet she would freak out over your home. 😂
I recently purchased a Hoya Carnosa and it has inspired me to get more varieties of Hoya! They’re such fun plants 🌱
Hoya linearis is suprisingly kinds easy to propagate, esp with water. But my problems always when i repot it in soil, they always have root rot 😞😞.. and i i save it by putting it back in water 😅😅.. so it is a delicate plant still.
What is the name of that little thing that you put on the bottom of the vase? And where can I find it? I love your videos
Recycle the styrofoam peanuts for orchids which sensitive to salt.
Loving your vlogs! You should do one about kippee :)
Please do a Hoya care video! I’ve been scared to get into them but have a feeling that the Hoya bug will bite me this growing season lol

Where in the world did you find the Hoya linearis? I've been looking all over!
Did you ever make a video on how you went from fostering Kippy to keeping her?
Sidenote; my cats name is Skipper/Kippy!
Another request for hoya care. I have two now and need all the help I can get!
Im having a massive spider mite attack on my plants, on top of mealy bugs, right now and this vid cheers me up very much 😌
I spray my plants with a mix of neem oil, organic soap. and water for pests.
Awesome haul and potting :) I've been totally hunting for the hoya linearis, it seems like everyone has them in Europe, saw them on ebay (from EU) and like you said pretty pricey... one of these days.
What gardener doesn’t mind a little dirt under their fingernails? That is why we have nail brushes by the sink. 😁
I hope you never get an earthquake there 😰 I’m in SoCal & I just don’t have mine anywhere near an edge 😬 but yours looks so pretty with all your books
Lovely unboxing! Can you explain how you cope with the humidity in your apartment? I have a large plant collection and and the amount of damp soil, misting etc etc can cause problems.
Most everybody talked to will talk about low humidity oh, I guess there's always a dehumidifier
Love this kind of video! And I love getting my nails dirty😂
what did you put in the bottom of the pot to cover the drainage hole?
ugh such an icon!
Do you isolate them for a short while in case of possible insects or mites?
Hoya: mentioned
*Jenna Marbles has entered the chat*
I have been looking for a Hoya Linearis , please let me know where you found that one. Thank you
I didn't know those packing peanuts are made of carbohydrate.
April fools joke idea: How to make packing peanut pasta.
