Union Square green market & flower stalls have been a wonderful place to shop for house plants, I have been there so many times. I know that the prices will increase now that they have been featured on this channel.
New fan here. I can’t stop watching Summer’s videos. Her vast knowledge of plants coupled with her charm and infectious smile are irresistible. But, can we also talk about the production value of her vids? The camera work and editing are very good. I keep forgetting I’m watching UA-cam videos and not something on TV. Keep up the incredible work!
A couple of years ago i was so inspired watching your video... living in a tropical place makes me feel so bless to collect more plants.. knowing also the plant needs, names and lights.. thank you always for sharing your videos.
What a great way to spend my lunch hour, in the City with Summer Rayne buying super affordable house plants that look amazing!! :) Happy Growing Everyone!
I'm really looking forward to your outdoor plantings and all the things I can learn there. I'm in the Catskills permanently again after being in the city for about a decade. The farmer's market was my go-to lunchtime walk when I worked a few blocks north on Park. I would return to my desk with a bay laurel or a succulent from time to time. Ironically being so closer to the farms where I am now, I still miss the market for its variety.
So lovely to be able to travel to my beloved New York. It's winter where I'm, Melbourne, and we are bracing for another week of very strict lockdown. Cheers!
Honestly I've watched all of her videos and yes I can tell that she made me get into plant loving so badly ,I'm based in fiji ,tropical area and I've collected so kuch from wild. Love from Rahul ,sweetheart your videos are amazing, before I get any plant I'd rather see your updates then follow the care guidelines.
I wish we could have things like this in Georgia. Also our daffodils start blooming late January early February! Our spring bulbs have been gone for months
The aloe at 10:40 may be a type of hybrid aloe with a gasteria (gasteraloe). Those blooms resemble gasteria way too much. Gasterias are named because their blooms look like stomachs (gastr). I’m just guessing 🤷🏻♂️
Awesome I miss that place… Are used to live there for a year but I’m back home to San Diego. By the way at 11:15 the cotyledon that You were unsure about; it’s a hybrid called “mint truffles”
Unbelievable ... did I hear you saying: "I don't need another plant." ;o) I know this feeling as well ... I actual need this from the bottom of my heart ... than the head pops on to say "Hey, you don't need another one!"
Would love a replanting guide - how to choose the right soil and mediums and in what ratio.🌱🪴 I keep on killing my plants after I repot them.. please help us to save them! Thanks! 🙏
Every thyme! Funny...but what about your other channel? My old man loves his garden....no thyme just flowers and mint. You are muy buena señorita finger.
Is there a specific day of the week the plant stalls are there? I haven’t gone back into manhattan that often since getting vaccinated but would love to shop there sometime.
Ok weird question can you tell the difference between male and female spider plant a lady told me that males were dark green and females were light green . I never heard of that so I thought I would go to an expert ????
I used to believe NY is costly 😪 I live in Midwest that cryptanthus is what I have been looking for months! I found 1 person who was selling a meagre 2 or less inch plant for 20$ 🙄 ugh its so hard to find plants here
Yeah. The apartments are super expensive but everything else is cheaper. I used to get lunch at work for about $4 a day, like a full lunch. But I lived with no closets and a window that faced a brick wall that cost the same every month as my mortgage in Philly for a three bedroom house.
better not labeled then our local name tag big green plant or extra big green plant yeah seriuously thats how shops do it in my country. thanks to the app plant net on my phone that problem is solved.
Just seeing her enjoying plants makes my day better. I love how casual, elegant and down to earth she is.
who else loves her tours ?
So fun!
last year summer encouraged me, now she's teaching me the concept of restraint during plant shopping 😅

I would grow crazy there. She has such crazy discipline. Thank you for bringing us here. 🥰
Those two plant stands have contributed to my plant parenthood during this pandemic. Such amazing prices!
"i really don't need another plant." * I super felt that.

Yes, do a medieval circle herb garden, including arcane ones.
Very cool idea!
I really miss living a block from Union Square. So many great memories walking through the small markets/trying not to get hit by skateboarders! ;)
Enjoyed plant shopping vicariously through you! Thank you for the zen moment.
I love the little succulents sold in the terracotta pots too :)

Summer: “ I really dont need a another plant “ 😄
So nice 👍👏👍👏
That music... Makes me think of the cartoon Cat city of vewn. It gives your video this strange feeling that something strange is gonna happen. 😂
there is a plant's market called Cuemanco plant's market that has more than eight hundred stands of plants.
Where is this place? In NYC? Tell us!
@@amoijoy573 in Mexico 🇲🇽 city
Can we see another collab with Epic Gardening? Maybe an herb garden :)
Would love to. It doesn't help he's 3,000 miles away though. We've talked about far-away collabs, but challenging to coordinate!
@@summerrayneoakes You definitely need more views! More power to you💚
After watching this I realized how cheap (house)plants are in The Netherlands. Many plants would be 1/2 or 1/3 of these prices, wow
That's because it is in Manhattan; outside of the city it is much much cheaper.
I’m from India
I got a bigger string of hearts for 50 rs , which is less than a dollar.
Просто супер!
Would love a replanting guide - how to choose the right soil and mediums and in what ratio.🌱🪴
I keep on killing my plants after I repot them.. please help us to save them!

Ararat basil is a variety which grows in Armenia
Did anyone know what species of aloe that was at 10:40?
My goto place for bargain plants is the compost pile of a local botanic garden lol.
Is there a specific day of the week the plant stalls are there? I haven’t gone back into manhattan that often since getting vaccinated but would love to shop there sometime.
💚

Has anyone ever seen any hoya varieties at this market?
Hi
I was disappointed to see so many plants potted in peat. No more peat!
Such a super video, and great market stalls but what awful music to shop by, what a headache!
Wait, You can bargain PLANTS?!
