    I'm hoping you show how you weld all the way around the bars. I'm getting ready to weld in my first cage and I'm trying to figure out how to weld the tight spots

      There are a couple tricks to this. I do not show these in the video. You can tack the hoop in and then cut the tack and tip the hoop over to access. You also can drill holes in the floor before the base plates get welded in and drop the whole cage down through the holes in the floor to make room up top. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

      Another way is to build "pedestals" Tack them in place and then remove them when everything is bent. That will drop the cage down for access.

    When you do the a pillar bars like that do they come square off the hoop. I tried one tonight and mine will be like 7 degree out so the front bar ends up wider then the rear hoop

      I add an angle so the bottom is wider than the top. Keep it as tight to the roof and A pillar as possible! Thanks for watching!

    Do some time lapse footage of cutting the tubes and welding. Would add a lot to the video.

      Hard to do when you are the only one filming and working. I also found out that recording welding with your camera can actually damage it! Channel doesnt make enough revenue yet to replace a $700 camera. :/ But I will try to do more of that moving forward. Thanks!

      That Racing Life I completely understand!! Keep up the great work. I enjoy watching regardless. I had a 99 neon that blew up before I could even start! Keeping my eyes open for a new car to race.!

      Just find a motor for the Neon! A lot of those guys swap over the 2.4L from the "cloud cars" makes those things pretty fast!

    how much tubing do you usually use for a full cage and how long are the hoop bars usually. im limited for space so my supplier cuts my 24's in half for me but want to make sure 12 ft is long enough to do a hoop

    • @thatracinglife
      @thatracinglife  2 роки тому +1

      12 is long enough for sure. On majority of cars anyways. Usually 80-120 ft depending on size of car and how crazy I get. Lol
