Love this video! I didn't realize how intense the overtaking is in circle track racing! I come from a road course background in endurance racing and time attack and this looks like a hell of a lot of fun!
Do you have any information about the organizations that run these kind of events?
I road raced professionally for a few years. This is as much fun or even more so sometimes. Circle track is a battle every corner of every lap! As far as finding something like this, do a search of circle tracks in your area. There are probably more than you think! Then see what classes they have and go out to see what it's like. It's the cheapest way to race and even has a payout at the end of the night!

Holy Sheet. You bought that Prelude for $200 WOW! what is the symptoms of this car going into limp mode? Most of the cars I've towed that went into limp mode was top speed like 15 to 20 mph. Felt like car was in 3rd or 4th gear from launch. Anyway. Great job handling that car when it was under powered. Your advice about pulling it off track instead of getting run over is so true. That was a hard decision for me to make in my last enduro. My goal was to just finish the race so when it lost signal to fuel injector 3. I did 15 more laps and parked it. Love your MAGA comment. Lol. Make automatics great again. Take care and I wish ya all the best this summer.
There are a couple different levels of limp mode on these things. This one just had no vtec and a lower rev limit. I will go over the repair of it in the next video. I am currently on vacation in AZ so I'll get that up as soon as I get home! 😁 Sometimes you go to have fun and turn laps. Sometimes you go to win. Just depends what you're after. For us it was a better choice to just call it a day and shoot for that win another day!

You can make the power with the duratec engines for sure. It just costs more. Having the hondas or SER is easier to win with a stock engine. Check out our partner massivespeedsystem.com for all your focus needs. That's their specialty.

As someone who's always wanted to race at least semi-professionally, seeing you drive the GTR was awesome. It seems like people do the short track racing aspiring to get there. Why did you go from GT-3 to local track racing rather than continuing at the GT3 level?
GT3 racing is around $1m per year. Nissan ended funding for their USA program. Hundreds of us were left without jobs over night. I chased rides for 2 years after, the only thing teams care about is "what's your budget" as in how much money am I bringing. It's a business for many professional teams, they get paid drivers and they run the car. No money, no ride.
@@thatracinglife Thanks for the response. Such a lucky experience though so congrats on getting to try it for awhile. I do a lot of autocross events in the Chicago area but have been thinking about getting into some circle track banger racing. Hopefully I'll see ya on the track one day!
Thanks for watching and thanks for the reply. It was amazing while it lasted! For sure some of the best days of my life. The cars are insane to drive and so much fun. I miss it for sure! Even in NASCAR and F1 at least half the entries are people paying to be there. It sucks it's not like the good old days, younger people arent as interested in cars as they used to be. Leaves a lot of advertising money out of the business. Circle track racing is more unique because they have pretty good payouts! So you can pretty much race for free or even make a few bucks if you're good. That's why I went back. Also this is what I can afford and am interested in. Lol

The waiving is to let drivers behind you know you're checking up. That there is an incident ahead. These cars dont have brake lights so it's a way to help everyone stay out of trouble. Glad you enjoy the show!

should put a team together and come to Atomic Speedway for an endurance race next year or later this year. They had a 24hr race this weekend with over 40 teams starting and 14 finishing..

Think Atomic took all 4cyl SCDRA off the list for rest of year didn’t they(2022) Sucks. My son finished 7th in the King of Compacts in just his 5th lifetime start. His ground wire popped off with 15 to go and lost the v-tec kicking in with his H22A4. Lil advice.. the H22A4 is an open deck, where an H22A is a closed deck. TheA4 has never had a problem keeping cool. Cut hose economy runners out of the head near valves, and lap valves in as good as u can get. We have Skn2tnr2 cams and Fiarria flat valves. Cut all of intake out and run 70mm throttle body. NEVER underestimate theTPS set to 4.50 power on wide open and set timing. Just the slightest cost u a ton of power

It's a warning to drivers behind you that you are slowing down or there is a problem ahead. These cars don't have brake lights.

@@rossroadwarriors1672 We have people as young as 15 racing at our track ... Of course with proper notarized parental consent. But it is possible to get in at a pretty young age this way.

All of that generation had the H22A4. The older cars had F series with H23 and H22 vtec models. Even older ones had a bespoke B20 uncommon to the integra and CRV B series.
