Be careful of also getting the opposite problem. I got way too comfortable FCing 4* and low 5* maps with really good acc to the point where I became an accuracy freak and just stopped playing a map whenever I get less than 98%. This made me stay away from harder maps since you naturally get lower accuracy playing them and you won't improve if you don't challenge yourself.
In 2020 and 2021, I had a mindset of "skill is dependent on how high you can pass a map", and sure it was fun to pass high star maps, but I sacrificed my accuracy for it. So in the end, I found myself stuck on not improving. Came back after a 4 month long break and a new mindset (thanks to some advice from my friend), I mainly focused on lower star maps with mods, and I've been slowly improving! :)
I definitely understand the feeling, it's very frustrating to have terrible accuracy no matter what you do. It's takes a long time to fix bad habits, but slowly you'll improve it :)
A thing i did is i played for passes only, sometimes even getting 60% acc. Then one day i learned about a player from my country, -GN, and his abilities to read akward maps and EZ. So i forced myself to learn EZ. I had to start out with low star maps cuz otherwise it would be like looking at 100 circles at the same time. This made me taking a liking to low ar and low star maps. So thrue learning EZ, i would also learn akward patterns, i got better acc, less notelocks, and just overall improvement
This exactly happened to me, except I improved my pattern processing too. I started to learn EZ cause I always believed it was good for improving acc since the increased density of the map affects both tapping and aiming.
I had 91% accuracy a month ago, and now I have 94% so I'm slowly but surely getting better at accuracy. One thing I noticed is that when you play easier maps, you don't need to concentrate on aim as much as when you play harder ones, so you can concentrate on rhythm as well. Also a thing that happened to me but probably won't work on others is that since you share your rhythm feeling between all rhythm games you play, it sort of lets you improve at every one of them, so after a rework in another game I play killed speed mains, I had to play maps with lower speed modifiers, which let me to improve at acc in both that game and osu!
Tip noted. I have been playing 5-6 stars map most of the time but have bad accuracy, now I will focus for 98% accuracy on 3-4 star maps. I will come back once I improve.
For me playing higher star maps actually improved my acc. I was stuck in the mid 5* range for like half a year with around 96% acc and just couldn't improve that. Then around a month ago I started pushing into 6* actively, so I played almost exclusively 6* maps for a bit, which made my consistency and accuracy on 5* maps so much better, especially on jumps. So, if you are stuck, try pushing yourself.
i disagree with one tiny thing; the high * passes for fun. No, High star passes are also a decent first indicator to be obtained for the questions "Have i gotten faster?" "Can i start playing a little higher star maps now?" "Is this map only passable for me, or can i actively use it to train certain aspects of my gameplay, like streams for example? :Note, only for some maps" And many more. But your underlying sentiment is very correct, you shouldn't play exclusively or majorly for high * passes. Take them with a grain of salt but still be proud of yourself for being able to pass X map after this time of improving.
I personally recommend trying out running maps with hidden - play them through once (or as many times as you like) NM and then try them out with hidden. There's no need to already aim for higher accuracy, but as someone who's been focused on accuracy from my literal first day (because I asked for help in chat and someone noted I have a knack for accuracy after watching me play lol) I found that it helps because I need to aim like normal but also add on the difficulty of not being able to constantly know where the next circle is unless i focus. This has helped me a lot. Also, for slider breaks, I find it helps to trust the map's timing (lol). If I haven't finished with a slider yet but the next approach circle has already appeared and seems close to ending, I trust that the map has properly built in the time between the circle and the slider. Slider breaking doesn't seem to be that big of an issue for most people, but it tends to affect accuracy if it is so that's also a good thing to keep in mind. Sometimes making yourself more confident about how you're playing is just playing a bit of mind games with yourself.
I might be completely crazy, and I probably am, but I consider my overall acc of 97.53% as super low and bad. For the sake of fun, I increased my difficulty again today, and well after watching this video, I'll decrease it back to where it was before. It is so easy to get carried away and even just slightly neglect acc. One of the most important skills, maybe even THE most important skill, in osu is patience. Two players can be identical in terms of their overall skill, but one is patient, and one is not. The patient player will ALWAYS improve quicker and be the better player long-term. Be patient, work yourself up the leader step by step, don't skip any steps, and most importantly plz enjoy game!
Bad and good are subjective and everyone has different goals and ideas of what their limits are. Personally, I'd be happy with 97% on most maps for the time being, but I know others who consider it lower acc than they would like. Definitely patience and consistent practice are the most important skills. I wish I had this knowledge when starting out because digging myself out of bad habits takes a lot longer than building strong habits in the first place. My hope is that by seeing this video, people who are going down the same path that I did will realize that it's not good for the long run. Thanks for the comment, good luck with the grind :)
My acc acceptance is very weird, for some reason having 85-89% seems acceptable and 90-94% bad, 95% is ok, 96% is ew, 97+ is good, I'm not sure as why that is, the 80% accs being acceptable for me is probably because i get them in maps out of my comfortable range, but the other ones are just because my minds sees 95 as a more satisfying number than 96 lol, although i do know what's better and I'm fine with a 96+
@@the.true.A I think because if you get less than 90% acc you're probably playing for a pass. So seeing such a high number next to that 8 is great. But when you usually get 90+, you're playing atleast partially for acc. Seeing a 0 next to the 9 makes you feel bad
My pride and glory is having a pass on raise my sword, painters, Eyrie and forget not. Took me a year I’m rank 290K. Gave up farming a yesr and a half ago to solely play high star stream maps and it is so much more enjoyable
I wasnt aware that low acc like this was an actual issue. My friends and I never went below 96% average acc even when we started out even tho we played a lot of maps which were to hard for us. Its most likely the quantity of scores with good acc that made my 40% nofail plays or 70-90% 6-9 star passes at the time have little to no weight. Nowadays a lot of my friends, who unlike me kept playing consistently through all these years, are top players. It kinda makes me feel bad in a way but its cool to see what kinda scores they are able to set :D Also props for properly mentioning DigitalHypno 👍
interesting video! actually, I’ve never had this problem since I’ve always tried to ‘master’ certain levels, but it can certainly feel frustrating sometimes when it seems like you’re practicing something and it feels like you don’t improve. like, i have good accuracy (95-98%) but i tend to break combo a lot so it’s been a little frustrating recently.
I find it hilarious that the time I hit 5 digit I had around 96% profile acc, and multiple 200pp plays and a 300pp choke. A friend of mine who is 180k has a couple 200s, and 99% profile acc, and you were here with 73% acc and a top play of 159pp. Oh how the times have changed. 2704pp would land you at 300k global now.
accuracy is very helpful to keep in mind for numerous reasons, however; while i'm in the mode of concentrating on timing i've noticed that i more frequently miss notes. I believe this is because of the fact that i'm less focused on trying to hit notes even when they're difficult to hit, and more focused on hitting the notes that i can but accurately. I was wondering if anyone here has a solution to this: i'd like to keep being accurate but also i'd like to not miss as much as possible.
The best advice that I got from my friend who is in the five digits, said that I'm rushing my notes and to just basically slow the fuck down. It's been like 4 weeks since that time and now I have 90% accuracy after having like 83 to 86
Saw this video half a year ago, wished I could improve but eventually I saw another video about beat deafness and found out I probably have amusia. I can still enjoy music but struggle to follow any beats lol Now I play solely for fun. The community is still hype for me to stick around :)
The thing is to always get average 95 profile acc, and then push for higher star maps until you acc go somewhere arround 85-90, then you upgrade you acc again to 95, then push your skills for higher stars again, and keep doing this until you can SS 16stars consistently
the amount of adjustment i did while only at 3 stars (1.fixed my single tapping,2.tablet,3.pen grip,4.finding my confortable skin,5.tapping lightly,6.tablet area size within 2 months in that order) made me very conscious about my acc
you basicaly told my story, i started playing maps that are too dificult to pass, become good to pass 6 or 7 star maps, spent hundred of hours in game doing this, now i tried online mode and while i can fc most 5 star maps i finished LAST place while the first place misses 5 or 10 notes but with good acc while i fc the map with 80 to 90 acc now i am trying to re learn what im doing wrong in the process to get my acc up
What I did: I was playing only Farm Maps (my acc was not that bad, like 93%, but I only played farms) I just got a 4/5* maps with streams and bursts and played only it for 1 month, my acc and finger control got really better, nowadays, 1 year later, I can't play farm maps, but I basically learned the game from scratch, and now i can actually stream, my acc it's 97+, even after 1 year without actually farming, i still enjoy the game :)
i make like a ranking ELO for me, if i get a A i can pass to another map with the exact same starts (like 3.75) if i get an S i can jump to 3.76, or the next maps if there its not any 3.76 maps. and if get a B i go back 1 song, if C i loose 1 tier (like 3.74) and then D its a lose of a complete star. the same with SS, i can go 1 complete start up. so i play a lot of maps, variety and repass maps i do bad, (i only hide maps over A) and with osu lazer direct download i get a lot of maps, so i dont tired of the same music, because i dont like to repeat the same map too much times, only if i like that song a lot. with ocacionaly pushing F2 (random) or i just go to the final of the list of "Last played"
my accuracy is 99.53% but I struggle with OD 8 unless I have memorized how to press the notes on time, it's not that I can't click them on time but rather my fingers sometimes just go too fast and if im streaming I don't go with the song well and just over stream or even if im doing like jumps or finger control I tend to just press like one note way too fast out of nowhere even though I have the song in head. maybe i just have a sudden burst of energy or a lack of patience but if I try and be patient I click too late lol
what tf man, this is my exact situation aside from the tablet/mouse since ive been tablet since my first week. Ive already started going back and relearning the skillsets i failed to learn as 6 digit. So I can speak from my experience as well everything you said is completely true. While my acc isnt great now by most peoples standards (96.57%), this is a massive new field for me and it was such a satisfying feeling nothing else could replicate seeing the improvement and the acc actually get better. At the main time of me in this "6 digit 8 star syndrome" I was around 85ish acc I couldnt say exactly playing maps waaay outside my skill zone, stuff like happppy song, yomi yori, louder than steel, and other various high 7 and 8 star maps, and while yes I did get a pass on a few of them, looking back I always wish how much more consistant I would have been and where I would be now if I had played maps more around my actuals skill range. In my experience, and im sure a few others as well, I had looked at players like aetrna, khz, nyanpotato, and other top players (speed players in my case) and constantly strived to pass the maps they have fc'd or played. Another bad habit I was guilty of was trying to get these higher star gimmick passes to try and impress those who were a higher rank me. Simply put, i wanted others to think I was good, kinda sad but its the truth and im only saying this in the event someone else is in the same situation. Not exactly sure where I was going here tbh, great video honestly. I am sure this has helped many people already, and many more to come. Thanks for taking the time to read my way to long of a comment
i relate heavily to almost everything you said. i also remember that feeling when i felt like i was starting to get the hang of accuracy for the first time, and i agree, it was super satisfying. thanks for the comment, i really appreciate it
Last year my acc was 88% normal and i have 96% now. I fixed it with new keybord that felt better, made my area bigger, learn how to both single tap jumps and alt jumps. My biggest problem was my timing when ive started to alt wen i started to use keybord for tapping
i was a really bad player, i had 500 hours of gameplay and i couldn't even get good accuracy on 4 star maps because i hadn't built a skill base i basically skipped 2 and 3 star difficulties. what helped me was starting over from scratch, playing old 2 star maps, mastering them at 99% acc and increasing the difficulty little by little.
Tbh its not that you NEED to improve your acc, its more like if you WANT to improve it. I was like 2.3k at my peak a few years back and i got into passing hard mapa which led me into a literal osu depression. I couldnt consistantly fc any 6* map so i left the game for a good 3-4 years. Now i came back with a resetted and stronger mindset that i want to be the best, and in 2-3 weeks i did my biggest improvement since 2015. I'm playing longer maps to have that confidence, and even tho i posted some farm maps on my channel im still proud of things that i did (like monster HDDT i don't remember whose diff but i got #28 on it while before the break i barely could pass it) so... TL;DR don't force yourself, Play your own way, and have the most fun you can have :)
That's in the scenario in which you're already comfortable with maps above 3 stars but still have bad accuracy anyway. If you're still working on them as a skill ceiling, then it won't be as quick. Fairly quick is also subjective, so it can mean different time frames for different people. Don't beat yourself up over anything, just keep trying to improve and you'll see results in time =)
lemme guess what the video says; Play maps you are comfortable getting FCs or have good accuracy on. -yup pretty much lol. consistency is key, and there's nothing wrong with playing easier maps to master the basics. both great points as well
I'm glad I found this video, I'm at where I'm starting pass 6 star maps but I have an accuracy of like 50%. I thought the bad accuracy was just cause its hard to be accurate as a mouse only player but i had a hunch I might have just been developing bad habits when I realized I can't even perfect a 1 star.
For me, that's totally different, cuz I only play maps that I can't FC to improve. If I play low star maps, I will be stuck in my comfort zone forever. Last year, I could barely pass 7 stars with like 75% acc A year later, I can get 95%+ acc on 7 stars and pass some of the 9 stars and 10 stars maps
The exact same happened to me with mania in 2018 when I barely passed high 3* maps and didn’t care about accuracy. It was so hard to get a then but now since I’m reworking it all now it’s so easy to get s starting with low star maps :)
I did the same, I go by Hououin--Kyouma, I mostly played online with my far better friend who goes by a similar name. I was better with snaking maps due to my past plying bass but I could never hold up with my technical skill. I did get vastly better over time, but my skill was still piss poor. Even though I used to be top 100k . I havent played for a long time, im just about getting back into it
I'm still very new to Osu!, having only passed my first 4* a few days ago, but I have quite a bit of time logged because I did the polar opposite of what most people do: I just spent all my time in Osu! S-ranking 1 and 2 star maps. I have 163 S ranks but only 500pp because I just only played maps if I knew I could S them
Ty man, i play 3 stars but i have been practicing a lot of 4 star beatmaps and my accuracy was getting lower and i was so mad with it, bc i was playing well and i'm improving so much and my acc was getting down
honestly for me my accuracy is as low as it is (between 85 - 95%) because im coming from fnf after like 3 years, the lowest hit windows i can play and still get good accuracy (above 97% usually) is a ro-fnf game which i usually play ex1-3 difficulty in with much tighter hit windows than fnf itself (pretty much the equivalent to a 3.5-4.5* map as difficulty rises. its just osu's hit windows i need to get used to and im mainly playing it to increase my accuracy across every mania style game i play tbh thing is i can beat the equivalent to a 5* map with a high A pretty easily in fnf yet that skill immediately dwindles to only being able to pull off a's and b's on 3-4* since the hit windows are tighter
The main reason I go for 4 stars and I have bad acc is because I don’t want to be a six digit who can’t do a 4 star and when I play 4 stars my rank goes up about 50K- 100K every time and that’s only a 20 minute session
I've almost never seen a pro mouse player making tips videos. It's often tablet players. If they can use those tips and demonstrate some with a mouse it would be a really great help.
My acc used to be horrible because I never went for fcs and my top plays were just B's and the occasional A on 5 star maps, as I thought fcing a 4* map was boring so I just didn't do it
ive been a 4 stars for one year.... I cannot get myself to get to pass a 5 star..... I play everyday.. I've taken breaks, I've gotten a pen grip and I changed my penpad area... I dont know what to do......
whats ur osu account. (ok i just found your osu account and just play more lmao. you only played total of 48 hours of this game. that isnt even 30 minutes a day for a year.)
I had a profile acc of 69% when I got my first 100pp play - then it slowly went up to >70%, people laughed at me :D Then I was stuck at ~80% acc (only played 4* and 6* maps for fun), started playing 5* Maps with higher AR (>9.5) and instantly improved my accuracy. Now I am at 94% acc and have better accuracy on 6* Maps over 4* Maps cuz my brain can't handle low approach rate, even AR9.2 is pain for me so I add HR on it ...
I played osumania relatively well but about 1 week ago my pc died and when I returned to the game I didn't hit any notes or play like literally 1 week ago, I got VERY frustrated
i can hardly even past 3 stars maps but i dont know how i can freaking pass 4 star maps or above well thx to you now ik aight imma rebuild my skills and start at 2 stars maps imma get A+ then imma move up to 3 so on and so forth
for me high star passes helped me improve a ton, and would still probably help me improve even though i really dont do it anymore. its great to push yourself, since most of the game is just getting used to being good at higher stars. i dont think you should just play very hard maps for passes, though. i believe that you should play maps 1 star under your max pass star range for fc which helps you develop accuracy if you focus on the pp aspect. i believe that acc under 80% is fully fine for anything under 70k since youre still incredibly new, hopefully only been playing for a couple months. after this i believe you should try focusing more on accuracy since its very beneficial not only for PP or scores, but also for passing hard maps and for fcing hard maps. having a good intuitive sense of rhythm brings the focus away from tapping and you can focus more on important aspect such as reading or aiming. vice versa for stream maps
Honestly you need to focus more on accuracy at like 150k. Usually there is lots of people in 70-120k that they are not new and and playing for atleast a year. Also in my experience going for passes but like not too hard to pass still doesnt work. Yea i got better at that star rating but my low star ability just got worse.
try different tapping techniques. i used to mash in the center of my keys but now i can consistently tap in the top right corner and get way better acc than what i used to be able to do.
i have 99.17% profile acc but I have barely improved in the last 3-4 years of playing, I'm just slowly getting better and better at 5 stars and barely FCing the easiest 6 stars x)
im kinda stuck rn. I have a 95.44 account acc, right now im playing 5 star maps mostly soemtimes doing 6 stars for fun. On some 5 stars i get high acc like 97-98 % acc but some 5 stars I get like 80 and below. Should i go back down to 4 stars till i get good acc?
I'm trying to unlearn this honestly XD I got stuck in the mindset that you have to fc, S rank something before you can move to a higher difficulty. Which meant I was stuck on 3* continuously get an S star on the songs instead of moving on. I can pass 3.5 - 4* songs but struggle to fc them and even further away from getting an S but it's more fun to play them than grind out how I did before. I mean, I refused to submit scores that wasn't an S, fc but if I did by accident I'd keep playing that one song till I got it, even putting SD on to force myself to get an S. Now I'm playing 3.5 to 4* songs and just aiming for a pass to begin with and playing on that difficulty to steadily improve. From C to say a B and so on. Edit: just to add, I do go on easier difficulties every now and then but I need HR to play them, but only to keep my accuracy at 95% which I know is bad but it's better then if I didn't fc, S rank all the lower stuff first.
> I got stuck in the mindset that you have to fc, S rank something before you can move to a higher difficulty. im pretty sure thats a good mindset >I can pass 3.5 - 4* songs but struggle to fc them and even further away from getting an S but it's more fun to play them than grind out how I did before. okay just focus on 3.5* maps until you can fc them. i dont think you should focus on 4*. >Edit: just to add, I do go on easier difficulties every now and then but I need HR to play them, but only to keep my accuracy at 95% which I know is bad but it's better then if I didn't fc, S rank all the lower stuff first. dont do this its just a way to build bad habits also focus on your accuracy to get consistently 98% atleast
@@kujubuo Yeah, I mean I'm mainly sticking to 3-3.5* songs but it's like I'm just stuck only being allowed to play early 3* songs cause I can fc them with ease and get an S without thinking about it. Have 3.5 and I struggle to fc S rank them. So it must be too hard for me right? That is my mindset I'm trying to fight. Cause I don't want to be stuck playing only something I can complete with ease. Before I move on, I fc S rank all the lower difficulties but it really annoys me if I miss an easy note. So it would be too hard for me right? If I can't fc S star it, it must be too hard. Like the harder difficulties.
@@galacticmoonwolf8462 i see i think you should change to ur mindset to this i can s rank fc 3-3.1* maps so i must try 3.1-3.2* if i can s rank fc 3.1-3.2* maps i must try 3.2-3.3* and it goes on like that also if u want to have really good accuracy with it change this to like if i can 99% fc 3-3.1* maps i must try 3.1-3.2* maps and learn how to have 99% acc on them. honestly i think 99% acc is a good rule because sometimes aiming early or late affects ur accuracy too so u can know if a map is too hard for u or not. accuracy isnt just about tapping
@@kujubuo Yeah, I can fc S rank everything below 3.5* but it's with like 96 acc which I know is awful. I wonder why they even let me have an S with that bad of an accuracy I do get some higher though. I have some 98's and higher on 2* songs and some early 3* ones
so i played osu mania for over 5 years *minus year break* the wrong way that entire time? i just started using that bar in game because of the normal osu not mania.
When I started playing the game my accuracy was really high, about 98% because I already played other rhythm games and going to osu wasn't that much of a deal. But I realized I'm starting to fall to this 7 digit 8 starts hole when my acc dropped to 94%. I'm going to do something about it before it gets worse, since I'm still a beginner and I'm not feeling like starting over from scratch.
I am a 7 digit who has several 7 star passes with around 60-70% accuracy even if i fc a 4-5 star map my accuracy is around 70% I am a mouse only player and i have this problem
Question ik this video has been long made but I have a different case. I am trying to improve with my bursts and stream and usually I practice 5-6.8* and I may some time to time struggle with consistency while doing bursts like I may have some 100s along the way so my question is, is it a problem me trying to improve my streaming technique and improving streaming in general or I should lower down to the bpm learning finger techniques I hope this is understandable this is quite hard to explain :I am 230k player
I get around 92 acc on mid to high 5 star maps but whenever I try to go down to a mid 4 star or most higher 4 star maps I just cannot play at the slow speed. It throws me off and I get terrible acc. I'm not sure how I can change or fix this :p. whelp, guess I'm a lost cause ;D
my acc when i was around 100-200k my acc was around 90-92% acc and my friend who has always cared about acc kept telling me to improve and it will help gain pp and soon after i hit 5 digit and saw people like umbre or digitalhypno who have like 70 ur and 99% acc i started to get higher acc and now im at 97 acc and still getting higher
tbh i play higher star maps sometimes just to challenge myself and see how much i have improved rn i can just play 4 to 5 star maps but not to accurate plus i recently started playing with a tablet and it feels more fluent than my mouse but still struggle and i try to practice up to 2 to 4 hours a day and rn its paying of
Be careful of also getting the opposite problem.
Holy shit you just gave me a revelation
that's literally me rn
U mastered that alr, basically push yourself even though ur gonna get lower acc cuz u definitely are. Ppay hugher star maps👍

This exactly happened to me, except I improved my pattern processing too. I started to learn EZ cause I always believed it was good for improving acc since the increased density of the map affects both tapping and aiming.
I just started with Osu so I'm new to all the different kind of stuff, can you tell me what EZ stands for?
@@min-xn2is It stands for "easy" and it is a mod which lower the ar and cs to reduce the overall difficulty of the map.

I had 91% accuracy a month ago, and now I have 94% so I'm slowly but surely getting better at accuracy. One thing I noticed is that when you play easier maps, you don't need to concentrate on aim as much as when you play harder ones, so you can concentrate on rhythm as well.
I agree on this one
I started playing only 6 days ago, and back then it took me 1 and a half hours to pass a 2 star map with a D rating and
i disagree with one tiny thing; the high * passes for fun.
Sometimes making yourself more confident about how you're playing is just playing a bit of mind games with yourself.
tysm for these tips! I'm still very new to the game, but others who were also very new seemed to be getting a lot higher ACC than me.
My acc acceptance is very weird, for some reason having 85-89% seems acceptable and 90-94% bad, 95% is ok, 96% is ew, 97+ is good, I'm not sure as why that is, the 80% accs being acceptable for me is probably because i get them in maps out of my comfortable range, but the other ones are just because my minds sees 95 as a more satisfying number than 96 lol, although i do know what's better and I'm fine with a 96+
@@the.true.A For me, 85-87 is bad, 89-90 is good. 91-94 is bad, 95 is ok, 96 is ehh, 97 is somehow bad, and 98+ is really good.
@@StarryxNight5 for some reason my mind is like "oh 89,99% ACC, nice!" and when it goes to like 90% its like "ew wtf is this"
@@the.true.A I think because if you get less than 90% acc you're probably playing for a pass.
It kinda makes me feel bad in a way but its cool to see what kinda scores they are able to set :D
Also props for properly mentioning DigitalHypno 👍
3:15 starts here.
ty haha
interesting video!
actually, I’ve never had this problem since I’ve always tried to ‘master’ certain levels, but it can certainly feel frustrating sometimes when it seems like you’re practicing something and it feels like you don’t improve.
like, i have good accuracy (95-98%) but i tend to break combo a lot so it’s been a little frustrating recently.
Damn you have 27 subs? I thought I was watching a channel with a few million subscribers. Do the work man!
also i told you so
you indeed told me so and i didn't listen
200th sub by the way :3
quality of the video was well done and it was hard to believe you had less than 1000 subs. keep up the good work.
thank you!
I can still enjoy music but struggle to follow any beats lol
Now I play solely for fun. The community is still hype for me to stick around :)
i had terrible ac until i played with my gf a bit less experienced in osu.
2-3 star maps are boring, so used osu lazer's hammer to adjust AR
I found that playing more generally helps and also making a no approach circle skin kinda helps as well if you cant play hidden
The thing is to always get average 95 profile acc, and then push for higher star maps until you acc go somewhere arround 85-90, then you upgrade you acc again to 95, then push your skills for higher stars again, and keep doing this until you can SS 16stars consistently
the amount of adjustment i did while only at 3 stars (1.fixed my single tapping,2.tablet,3.pen grip,4.finding my confortable skin,5.tapping lightly,6.tablet area size within 2 months in that order) made me very conscious about my acc
i cant fc a 1 star map but i can pass a 7 star map...
time to relearn the game lol
so glad that i had good accuracy in my first month of playing
Depends on map
you basicaly told my story, i started playing maps that are too dificult to pass, become good to pass 6 or 7 star maps, spent hundred of hours in game doing this, now i tried online mode and while i can fc most 5 star maps i finished LAST place while the first place misses 5 or 10 notes but with good acc while i fc the map with 80 to 90 acc now i am trying to re learn what im doing wrong in the process to get my acc up
What I did:
I was playing only Farm Maps (my acc was not that bad, like 93%, but I only played farms) I just got a 4/5* maps with streams and bursts and played only it for 1 month, my acc and finger control got really better, nowadays, 1 year later, I can't play farm maps, but I basically learned the game from scratch, and now i can actually stream, my acc it's 97+, even after 1 year without actually farming, i still enjoy the game :)
i make like a ranking ELO for me, if i get a A i can pass to another map with the exact same starts (like 3.75) if i get an S i can jump to 3.76, or the next maps if there its not any 3.76 maps.
and if get a B i go back 1 song, if C i loose 1 tier (like 3.74)
and then D its a lose of a complete star.
the same with SS, i can go 1 complete start up.
so i play a lot of maps, variety and repass maps i do bad, (i only hide maps over A) and with osu lazer direct download i get a lot of maps, so i dont tired of the same music, because i dont like to repeat the same map too much times, only if i like that song a lot.
with ocacionaly pushing F2 (random) or i just go to the final of the list of "Last played"
nic vid man keep up the good work :)
my accuracy is 99.53% but I struggle with OD 8 unless I have memorized how to press the notes on time, it's not that I can't click them on time but rather my fingers sometimes just go too fast and if im streaming I don't go with the song well and just over stream or even if im doing like jumps or finger control I tend to just press like one note way too fast out of nowhere even though I have the song in head. maybe i just have a sudden burst of energy or a lack of patience but if I try and be patient I click too late lol
Damn 27 subscribers? I thought I was watching a channel with a cult following and a merch line. You can do it man!
what tf man, this is my exact situation aside from the tablet/mouse since ive been tablet since my first week.
TL;DR
don't force yourself, Play your own way, and have the most fun you can have :)
I have 95.55% right now and im pretty happy with it. Thanks for the advice tho
Im a 6 digit
"when i was still new to the game"
[proceeds to decimate any sort of confidence i had in my mechanical and timing skills]
Thanks bro im literally f##ked up with my literal accuracy it keeps making me rage as f##K
Bro thanks to you now i understood what should i practice now.
"You should be able to master 3 star maps fairly quickly." Me having 80%acc at 3* =l
That's in the scenario in which you're already comfortable with maps above 3 stars but still have bad accuracy anyway. If you're still working on them as a skill ceiling, then it won't be as quick. Fairly quick is also subjective, so it can mean different time frames for different people. Don't beat yourself up over anything, just keep trying to improve and you'll see results in time =)
This is the most underrated channel in existence
lemme guess what the video says; Play maps you are comfortable getting FCs or have good accuracy on.
How about now? Has it improved a lot?
For me, that's totally different, cuz I only play maps that I can't FC to improve.
If I play low star maps, I will be stuck in my comfort zone forever.
Last year, I could barely pass 7 stars with like 75% acc
A year later, I can get 95%+ acc on 7 stars and pass some of the 9 stars and 10 stars maps
The exact same happened to me with mania in 2018 when I barely passed high 3* maps and didn’t care about accuracy. It was so hard to get a then but now since I’m reworking it all now it’s so easy to get s starting with low star maps :)
That kinda makes no sense but actually working towards accuracy now and definitely see the improvement
I have 163 S ranks but only 500pp because I just only played maps if I knew I could S them
0:07 i actually thought i my osu just opened
Ty man, i play 3 stars but i have been practicing a lot of 4 star beatmaps and my accuracy was getting lower and i was so mad with it, bc i was playing well and i'm improving so much and my acc was getting down
I saw a previous video that said to just focus on passing to "get better" and I think that was one of the main reasons my acc is 87 :(
yoo, very good video! got me recommended today haha. i love your skin, where can i find it?
Damn only 270 subs? I thought I was watching someone with a whole ass country behind him with multiple merch that I would never buy
why do i get higher acc when i use double speed
honestly for me my accuracy is as low as it is (between 85 - 95%) because im coming from fnf after like 3 years, the lowest hit windows i can play and still get good accuracy (above 97% usually) is a ro-fnf game which i usually play ex1-3 difficulty in with much tighter hit windows than fnf itself (pretty much the equivalent to a 3.5-4.5* map as difficulty rises. its just osu's hit windows i need to get used to and im mainly playing it to increase my accuracy across every mania style game i play tbh
thing is i can beat the equivalent to a 5* map with a high A pretty easily in fnf yet that skill immediately dwindles to only being able to pull off a's and b's on 3-4* since the hit windows are tighter
The main reason I go for 4 stars and I have bad acc is because I don’t want to be a six digit who can’t do a 4 star and when I play 4 stars my rank goes up about 50K- 100K every time and that’s only a 20 minute session
Thanks. I improve my accuracy by practicing cs:3 and when cs:3 I use hr.
I honestly never even cared about acc. I just wanted to have fun and pass the maps.
I've almost never seen a pro mouse player making tips videos. It's often tablet players. If they can use those tips and demonstrate some with a mouse it would be a really great help.
My accuracy has gone up by 2% in a month. The grind is real
you deserve more subs, great video
OR, permashred and become shimon/ nyanpotato.
My acc used to be horrible because I never went for fcs and my top plays were just B's and the occasional A on 5 star maps, as I thought fcing a 4* map was boring so I just didn't do it
Thanks you man!
ive been a 4 stars for one year....
@@kujubuo yep and thats my problem
@@kujubuo Switched to Mania because its more fun to me and I am almost 5 digit now!
"6 digit 8 star syndrom"
my profile acc is 92.5%
yet I was 12secs close to passing a 8 star
I played osumania relatively well but about 1 week ago my pc died and when I returned to the game I didn't hit any notes or play like literally 1 week ago, I got VERY frustrated
Im trying to fc 4 star maps but I keep on failing just watched this vid tho hopefully these tips will help me
i can hardly even past 3 stars maps but i dont know how i can freaking pass 4 star maps or above well thx to you now ik aight imma rebuild my skills and start at 2 stars maps imma get A+ then imma move up to 3 so on and so forth
for me high star passes helped me improve a ton, and would still probably help me improve even though i really dont do it anymore. its great to push yourself, since most of the game is just getting used to being good at higher stars. i dont think you should just play very hard maps for passes, though. i believe that you should play maps 1 star under your max pass star range for fc which helps you develop accuracy if you focus on the pp aspect. i believe that acc under 80% is fully fine for anything under 70k since youre still incredibly new, hopefully only been playing for a couple months. after this i believe you should try focusing more on accuracy since its very beneficial not only for PP or scores, but also for passing hard maps and for fcing hard maps. having a good intuitive sense of rhythm brings the focus away from tapping and you can focus more on important aspect such as reading or aiming. vice versa for stream maps
"Guide to increase accuracy
Me: Just change the offset and tap with your keyboard hit-sound
i wonder why this video got recommended specially for me
try different tapping techniques. i used to mash in the center of my keys but now i can consistently tap in the top right corner and get way better acc than what i used to be able to do.
I'm new and I'm always trying to go for at least 85% accuracy
but doesnt that mean that you can play high star maps till you will do better at them
Weird how I thought I had such a massive problem with accuracy but my profile acc was like 88% at lowest and now I've gotten it to almost 97%
I hit 5 digit with overall acc 97,05%, 2 months after hitting 5 digit, i got to 50k with acc 98,24%.
my accuracy issues are related to reading, how to fix that?
“6 digit 8* syndrome”
*EXTREMELY REALATABLE*
I love you, ill try to play more low star maps
i have 99.17% profile acc but I have barely improved in the last 3-4 years of playing, I'm just slowly getting better and better at 5 stars and barely FCing the easiest 6 stars x)
im kinda stuck rn. I have a 95.44 account acc, right now im playing 5 star maps mostly soemtimes doing 6 stars for fun. On some 5 stars i get high acc like 97-98 % acc but some 5 stars I get like 80 and below. Should i go back down to 4 stars till i get good acc?
thx good quality content
I'm trying to unlearn this honestly XD
I got stuck in the mindset that you have to fc, S rank something before you can move to a higher difficulty.
> I got stuck in the mindset that you have to fc, S rank something before you can move to a higher difficulty.
im pretty sure thats a good mindset
>I can pass 3.5 - 4* songs but struggle to fc them and even further away from getting an S but it's more fun to play them than grind out how I did before.
okay just focus on 3.5* maps until you can fc them. i dont think you should focus on 4*.
>Edit: just to add, I do go on easier difficulties every now and then but I need HR to play them, but only to keep my accuracy at 95% which I know is bad but it's better then if I didn't fc, S rank all the lower stuff first.
dont do this its just a way to build bad habits
also focus on your accuracy to get consistently 98% atleast
@@galacticmoonwolf8462 i see
i think you should change to ur mindset to this
i can s rank fc 3-3.1* maps
so i must try 3.1-3.2*
if i can s rank fc 3.1-3.2* maps
i must try 3.2-3.3*
and it goes on like that
also if u want to have really good accuracy with it change this to like
if i can 99% fc 3-3.1* maps
i must try 3.1-3.2* maps and learn how to have 99% acc on them.
honestly i think 99% acc is a good rule because sometimes aiming early or late affects ur accuracy too so u can know if a map is too hard for u or not. accuracy isnt just about tapping
@@kujubuo Yeah, I can fc S rank everything below 3.5* but it's with like 96 acc which I know is awful. I wonder why they even let me have an S with that bad of an accuracy
I do get some higher though. I have some 98's and higher on 2* songs and some early 3* ones
Your old gameplay is honestly kind of impressive in a weird way. It looks like one of those fc with all 50's videos.
Underrated
what is the map at 1:01 ?
good video. i watched this and your how to make a collab. really good stuff.
so i played osu mania for over 5 years *minus year break* the wrong way that entire time?
i just started using that bar in game because of the normal osu not mania.
I am trying to improve with my bursts and stream and usually I practice 5-6.8* and I may some time to time struggle with consistency while doing bursts like I may have some 100s along the way so my question is, is it a problem me trying to improve my streaming technique and improving streaming in general or I should lower down to the bpm learning finger techniques I hope this is understandable this is quite hard to explain
:I am 230k player
I get around 92 acc on mid to high 5 star maps but whenever I try to go down to a mid 4 star or most higher 4 star maps I just cannot play at the slow speed. It throws me off and I get terrible acc. I'm not sure how I can change or fix this :p. whelp, guess I'm a lost cause ;D
my acc when i was around 100-200k my acc was around 90-92% acc and my friend who has always cared about acc kept telling me to improve and it will help gain pp and soon after i hit 5 digit and saw people like umbre or digitalhypno who have like 70 ur and 99% acc i started to get higher acc and now im at 97 acc and still getting higher
tbh i play higher star maps sometimes just to challenge myself and see how much i have improved rn i can just play 4 to 5 star maps but not to accurate plus i recently started playing with a tablet and it feels more fluent than my mouse but still struggle and i try to practice up to 2 to 4 hours a day and rn its paying of
idk why im watching this video my acc is 98.60 but it still interesting to listen to
