Roy's voice is indeed a gift from God, on loan to us for such a short time...for that I am so grateful. Add to that he was a wonderful human being. Thank you for this one André & Dominica...God bless from across the Pond
Roy Orbison had such a wonderful, distinctive voice, you know it immediately! I think the first song I ever heard, (which is a long time ago!!) is 'Pretty Woman', such a brilliant song, not forgetting another fav, 'Only the Lonely'. Many thanks for your reaction, folks, so enjoyable. 😊😊
If you listen to the song "Down the Line" by Roy Orbison you will understand why Elvis , Bob Dylan,Bee Gees and Springsteen said that Roy Orbison was the greatest singer with the most beautiful voice of all time.
It has been reported that in one session a musician who was standing right next to Roy said that when Roy starting singing he looked over at him and said his mouth wasn't really moving all that much but this angelic voice seemed to emanate from him and he was in awe. I think that sums it up pretty good.
"Indian Summer" is an amazingly beautiful song sung with Roy pitching in along with Barry Gibb and the Gatlin Brothers. What a beautiful song and those terrific voices all blending together, wow! Another version of the same song also was after Roy had passed away and they had placed an empty chair within the group, to be in memory of Roy being with them. Very touching.
You can tell that Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty wrote it to be the perfect vehicle for Roy's unique voice, it's just a pity that Roy wasn't with us to enjoy its success.
If you don't like these I'll eat my hat Jackson Browne "here come those tears again" and The Allman Brothers "ain't wasting time no more". Cheers, just love the joy, surprise and sincerity in your reactions to rock'n'roll, keep it up! FYI; Roy had an three -octave voice.
Great 👍 Late Roy Orbison opened for The Beatles in the 1960s. Orbison was similar to the late Elvis Presley in singing. Orbison influenced Chris Isaak. Suggested videos 📹: 1 The Traveling Wilburys perform Handle with Care 2 Tom Petty sings I Won't Back Down 3 Chris Isaak sings Wicked Game 🎮.
Could you please Play.... David Lee Roth... California girls... Roy Orbison... Wow what can I say ... As a child the house was filled with his music...
Hello there. There is Buy Me A Coffee link in our description where Song Request can be purchased. It is sold out at the moment, but will be back on pretty soon. Thank you kindly 💚
If you guys want to have a great album to play as you do chores or anything where some music in the background would be nice, throw some Traveling Wilburys on and just slide on it. People have been trying to describe Roy Orbison's voice for almost 60 years - it can't be done. He connected with people is such a simple way but he connected to your inner soul. You're absolutely right, he just made you feel good and put a great big smile on your face. Anytime you hear Roy singing, ya stop and listen. Doesn't get any better than that.
Andrei, I love your comment "I just want to hug him"! I love so many of your reactions! Keep it up!
This song was co-written and produced by Jeff Lynne of ELO. This video was made just 17 days before he passed from a heart attack.
I don't think I've seen you two smile that much before. Roy's voice is a true national treasure.
While performing with The Travelling Wilburys, Tom Petty said he never felt intimidated singing with anybody ... except Roy Orbison. 😊
I can see by the looks on your faces how much you’re enjoying him. Thank you from Texas for this wonderful reaction.
Y'all are great!!!
You wonderful couple allow this older gentleman to smile everyday. Love you both 💓

Great song. Roy's return to the Top Ten after many years. ❤
Love how you guys light up when you realize you know a song!
The story goes that every time the Traveling Wilburys went into the studio Tom Petty would ask Roy for an autograph.
My two favorite Love Birds. 🥰🥰🥰

I saw Roy in concert in college in 1966. I was hooked! You bring such joy with your smiles as you react. Sending love and light to you both. ❤😊
Roy's style was timeless. His voice was unique and great his entire lifetime.
I'll go in halfsies with you on a group hug.
He was known as 'The voice'. Enough said 😁
"down the line" of black and white show is a gem to watch and hear from Mr. Orbison
A beautiful voice, lost with so many others. What has just shocked me is he was 6 years younger than I am now when he passed.
How fun it is to share a first reaction to such great music with this wonderful couple.
his voice was so good that people often fail to notice how great the lyrics are, perhaps because he mates the two so well.

Roy Orbinson was the only singer Elvis was jealous of.

🇬🇧 I'm beginning to think you two like Roy Orbison 😊. "I Drove All Night" "Running Scared" next I think. ❤🎙️🎶🎼
Isn't it obvious? 😉
Vocally, Roy Orbison was America's James Paul McCartney. "Dream" is a fine early hit of his, and worth a spin!❤

Yep. Credit Jeff Lynne of Electric Light Orchestra, as a producer for coaxing George Harrison, Roy Tom Petty , to continue their later albums.! ❤
He was very ill but folks have said he "came alive" when he arrived in the studio to record this song and performed live.
👍👍

After creating Roy Orbison, God might as well have retired.
