Thank you for this video Dr. William, John and Lareese❤. Two questions: 1. How soon after tummy tuck should you start this programme? 2. How long (days/wks/mths) should you stay at each stage before progressing to the next level? Thanks again
6 weeks to start move at your own pace through the levels. It is different for everyone. The main thing to do is to start the program and be consistent.
Thank you Dr. William and Coach Sinclair for putting this fantastic program together for us. It’s so thoughtful, well presented and produced. I think this is so valuable for people at all levels and stages of fitness because it serves to achieve that aesthetic look we want but eventually attain the function that we need for every day life. I’m so grateful, I have a really weak core and I’ll be implementing the exercises starting with Level 1’s today. Prepping for a future tummy tuck! 😊
Excellent! I will let John know. Good luck with the program and good luck with your tummy tuck recovery! I would restart the exercises 6 weeks after your TT.
Exercise is very, very important to getting the shape you want but people have a tummy tuck to remove excess skin and that can't be changed with exercise. Some things can't be corrected in the gym and some things can't be changed in the operating room but when you combine the gym with plastic surgery you really have something. Watch this video on the gym and plastic surgery. Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/NNB0yGL9YPM/v-deo.html
Great exercises!! One could also sign up for 3 months of Pilates. Do 6 weeks before surgery (@3 times a week), freeze your account and then another 6 weeks after you're cleared to exercise. You'll likely love Pilates so much you won't want to quit. All of these exercises are done in Pilates except maybe the exact standing series he showed here, but we do have standing exercises is Pilates. It's amazing how creative we can get with exercises to really challenge the body while minimizing injury.
I'm going to start doing these even though I'm not considering a tummy tuck but a BBL. Every surgeon that I've heard speak on cosmetic surgery has advised to be in the best shape possible and as close to your ideal weight in order to help with the recovery process. I like that these exercises are home and gym friendly.
I was told that as well, but my diastasis was so bad. My workouts were very difficult to get through. So I bit the bullet and did it even though I’m 60 pounds heavier than I want to be. I just had zero core regardless of what I did or how many trainers I saw. I went to a surgeon who specializes in tummy tucks, and breast reconstruction. He said I’d be very happy with my results and I am. I’m seven weeks, postop and thrilled with what I look like I can actually lift my legs and sit up in bed for the first time in 15 years. Completely worth it. Also, I had so much back pain because I didn’t have a core that it hindered my ability to work out as well.
I haven't completely watched it though but so far I haven't heard he talk about the correct breathing technique which is very important. I will definitely try these exercises though.
I have no clue why your video popped up in my feed, but i have been thinking about a tummy tuck for year, I just can't afford one right now, also I used to want a BBL, but i realize im fine with my pancakes, but i would love that tummy tuck.
@@DrWilliamMiamiI wish I was living in Florida. You would have definitely been my surgeon. Circumstances didn’t allow me to travel out of state. I actually follow your instructions. I’m 4 months post tummy tuck and my surgeon just told me to start core. I feel like I have gained weight in my stomach from lack of exercise in that area even though I lost weight from 168-152
@@kaweewinstheworld I know this post is old, but for those reading it now, I have been given the same instructions. Just to encourage you, four months isn’t that long to wait to guarantee not having to repeat a procedure or fix anything that might happen by starting too soon. From everything I’ve read adding and researched, what is comfortable is OK, but to avoid core work for 4 months. My guess is that they have to tell people that so those who aren’t used to working out or know how to do it correctly don’t hurt themselves. Also likely because everyone starts from a different level fitness prior to their surgery. I’m seven weeks postop and there is no way I could do most of what is on this video. I look forward to incorporating it when I can.
Seems like (on the TT discussion threads) there are so many opinions about ab workouts post muscle repair. I was told 6 months before any major ab workouts. This says after but when? You can't even stand all the way up for so long!
Everyone is going to give you a different answer because there's no good data for us to then rely on but for me I like everyone to go back and start doing their exercise six weeks after surgery. The reason I say six weeks is that the strength of the incisions in the strength of the abdominal muscles are, 90% of their final strength at that six week mark and so it's safe to work out and I think it's better to work out early as you recover as it speedy recovery helps to get rid of fluid.
Can you tag in the description where the exercises for *after* TT start? I’m planning through and can’t find them and don’t want to watch a whole 20 min video of stuff I can’t do yet 😂
I'm just over 3 months post op and struggling with the alternating leg/arm thing at the beginning. Even just holding my legs up/doing leg raises/flutter kicks is so much more difficult than it used to be. Although I've always had poor abs. My whole abdomin will be shaking when I'm trying to do these workouts (but I'm not in any pain) is that normal? Should I keep working out past the shaking?
Dr. Williams your videos have been key to my recent tummy tuck journey. I’m 5 weeks post op today and will be implementing these workouts. Question, I’m also incorporating cardio. Would increasing my heart rate during my cardio session, influence my results in a negative way?
@coach Sinclair, I am 7-8 weeks post mommy makeover, but having a hard time doing the 2nd exercise in the supine, do you have another suggestion? I can bring both legs up for the hold in step 1 but step 2 for the dead bugs is very uncomfortable
It depends on each person. Start at 30 seconds and see how that feels and see if you need to increase or decrease the amount of time between sets. It depends on your cardio fitness so that's the reason for the variability.
Your doing a two person video no I'm single can't you just say before exercising after and just say before after I'm not watching it going that slow doing my head in
I liked you used a real person. Learning with us love it
I’m really enjoying your videos you’re helping a very large group

Do you recommend walking on the treadmill or step master after the 6 weeks?
Definitely going to be using these

Heck. If I did this I’m sure I wouldn’t need a tummy tuck 🤣

Lol
Then do it!
Girl, I went to the gym every day and physical therapy and I still needed one after 10 years.
People get tummy tuck to get rid of extra skin. You can do all of the workouts that you want to do in the world. It will never get rid of extra skin.

Pilates is a super good exercise program as is Yoga. Whatever works for you is great. Thank you for sharing. I appreciate the input.

Tummy tuck is 100% worth every penny. I had mine in 2021. Love my flat tummy my clothes look so good now 😅
How long do I have to wait after my tummy tuck to start this routine?
6 weeks

Thanks so much ❤❤❤😊 for you time for help on the people beautiful experience.🤗🤗😇
It's my pleasure.
How many reps is needed for each exercise.
Ha 😂 I just seen it in the corner to my question 😂
I have a diastasis and a hernia should i always wear a belly back 🤔 while working out
Great video can you please ask the lady you were coaching what bra she is wearing? I absolutely love the support. Thank you.
You can DM her directly. Her IG is @lareesemichelle
Love this! Thank you!❤
You are so welcome!

My plastic surgeon said to do planks only. Every day starting after 4 weeks post op.

Shaking just means you are stressing your muscles. That's a good thing. Stick with the exercises and the shaking will go away.

No not at all. In fact, it would actually help your recovery.

I would do the best you can and give it more time in order to be able to complete that exercise but for now just skip it.
Thank you for the reply
Was Lareese in the podcast episode with her husband?
Yes I believe so
@@pshank30 I looked it up after watching this and it certainly is 💕
Can this training be applied after 8 months of TT😊
Im 3 week post, still wearing a binder of course, do i do this exercise while wearing it??
For my patients I suggest stopping the binder after two weeks and at 3 weeks you can start gentle exercise and then at 6 weeks this program.
How long post op should I be exercising like this
I have my patients begin at six weeks after surgery but I would check with your surgeon.
Which country is this,
USA
I am one week post tummy tuck. When should I start each level?
I would ask your surgeon. For my patients I have them start the first level as they approach 6 weeks postop.
So after 6 wreck PO can I do this?
yes!
But we can’t do. This until 6 weeks right?
correct
I’m wondering is she doing these with or without wearing a faja?
Wow I don't workout this makes me not want to do the surgery lol lord I weather walk before and after surgery
