@@K.P.J After my BBL, I purchase a body pillow that pregnant women use in their last trimester. I mold it into a donut and my button (butt) was able to fit inside. I don’t able to understand how doctors choose for what patient they will do tummy tuck and for whom they are Gona do liposuction can any one tell me pls
No it will not interfere with any exercise after you are heals. My wife had a tummy tuck after having twins and she does yoga and plays tennis without any problem. You just need to wait six weeks after a tummy tuck before doing yoga.
I’m a young 44 year old that will be getting a TT/BBL in November I definitely need the procedures done at the same time. My bmi is a 25.7 no health issues and I workout please don’t let me get there and I can only do the tummy tuck
6 weeks before standing straight?! Holy 💩 I thought it only took 2 weeks. I'm 10 days post-op and no wonder I'm still walking like my grandma. 😂 I find that I am limited by the suturs in my abs and not the discomfort in the insicion.
No lipo and a tummy tuck are two different procedures. You can do a tummy tuck with lipo but typically patients getting lipo don't require a tummy tuck.
My surgeon told me to stand up straight after 1 week… why is there so much mixture in advice… Anyway I bet that is why my belly is so swollen and I am concerned about incisions and the itching is unbearable!
I’m 4 weeks and still can’t stand straight I’m so miserable I’m ready to clean up and do what I need to do around my house. This is so exhausting! When was the latest you can stand so I can have some hope that I’m not the only one still on this position. I searched google and saw about from a surgeon saying 5-7 days how ????
Everyone has a different recovery. Usually patients are able to stand more straight a week after surgery but it is different for everyone. I have never had a patient who couldn't stand straight after a tummy tuck but everyone takes a different amount of time to get there.
8 weeks post op and the muscle pain and tension is still pretty significant after walking/ coughing/ standing completely straight up. Is this normal? No bulging areas, just tightness and pain in the muscles around and under belly button area still.
I would say abdominal tightness is present in all patients that have a tummy tuck and lasts for varying lengths of time but it usually will go back to normal.
I don't think of it like that. I think of it as getting your BMI to the lowest level you can to get rid of internal fat and have the safest surgery with the best possible result. IF you have surgery with a high BMI you have more complications and your results are not as good.
You can get a TT/BBL combined. I am 2 wks post op & I am sleeping in a recliner with pillows on my back, a boppy pillow & a bbl pillow. It lifts my butt & elevates my legs. It will be very uncomfortable, but you get through it.
He posted the video on Instagram and it got removed somehow and I believe maybe it was because of graphic content. Which is stupid if that was the reason cuz it’s a SURGEON and if people can’t handle graphic they shouldn’t follow the page but anyways the point is that the video is no longer on Instagram, now it’s here and blurred out 🙁 but still great information anyways..

@LaDy sKiTtLeZ yes I'm scheduled for both in April, but in the surgery groups I am in, I see sooo many posts with women stating they paid for both and Dr. Williams refusing one of the surgeries.. they claim the coordinators lie and say he does both to get commission, and then when you get to the office he tells them he can only do one at a time now because the healing process is too intense with both together.. he's only recently began to tell patients that he can not do them together.. I REALLY hope this is not the case, because I can not go back 6 months later for the BBL.. it's either both, or I find another surgeon who still does them together.. good luck with surgery 💓

I had one 5 wks ago. You're going to be very uncomfortable and sore. I had drains in for a week. The first 2 wks is the absolute worst but my biggest source of pain was actully having to walk hunched over. My back was on fire. During those first two weeks I actually told my fiance I wish I had never done it but now I love my results. Its a huge difference. I no longer have to hide the excess fold over skin flap. I literally cried the first time I tried on a two piece bathing suit. My kids are grown so I've been wanting to do this for a long time. If you can make thru those first two weeks it gets better.

I’m really excited about this but also really scared lol thanks for your help and good wishes!
@@K.P.J After my BBL, I purchase a body pillow that pregnant women use in their last trimester. I mold it into a donut and my button (butt) was able to fit inside. I used a least four to five pillows, two behind my head, two under my shoulder blades, and one on my lower back. I created a slanted shape with the pillows. And right next to that pillow was the body pillow, in which, I shaped into an oval. Best of all, in the beginning, you will be swollen, so the body pillow allows you to adjust the size as you progress in your recovery. I'm sending you so much love, good health, and speedy recovery. You are going to do well. And please listen to your doctor. But most of all, listen to your body.
Very informational .
What about riding or driving in a car after this procedure and any tips regarding travel?

Hi why wouldn’t you recommend a walker?
I had a tummy tuck done last week and I'm already standing up straight? I'm a 24 y/o male, wondering if I just heal way faster because of my age?
Thanks Doc. Blessings
10 days and healing the incision cut is not as painful it's the liposuction that hurts😫 I don't regret it because my body looks great my scar is not straight across and ugly it's small and I'm staying bent over my back is on fire but i am telling myself it will get better
Hi. In what position do you sleep in?
@@kittylu4491 I slept in my bed at the very edge with pillows behind my back and two under my feet so I can get up without too much strain night time is when you feel very uncomfortable because your body is relaxed you feel very stiff
I’m 7 days post op, I brought a wedge pillow for my bed to sleep at a angled position. I also take a muscle relaxer at night prescribed by my doctor and I sleep like a baby. You should ask your doctor about the muscle relaxer. Hope you feel better!
How soon can a bedside nurse return to work safely after the surgery?
Most of my patients return in 2-3 weeks but if patients have a job that requires heavy lifting they abstain from that type of activity until they are 6 weeks postop.
Thank you
For explain I thought I never could be straight anymore
I was putting pression trying to be straight
Just let your body guide you.
Hi i got a tummy tuck this Wednesday why i didnt have to walk hunched over n barely had much pain just some
I am glad... I watched this
thank you for the powerful message yikes
Great didn't know glad ran into your video
I don’t able to understand how doctors choose for what patient they will do tummy tuck and for whom they are Gona do liposuction can any one tell me pls
I put my deposit down for my bbl and tt with you I just hope you able to comfort me before surgery because I’m seriously scared of anesthesia:((
You will be fine
How much you paying?
Any updates? How was your experience?
@@moonglow8282 my date isn’t until January
U r the first dr i heard explaining this!! Once fully recovered will it be a challenge to do yoga cat poses?
No it will not interfere with any exercise after you are heals. My wife had a tummy tuck after having twins and she does yoga and plays tennis without any problem. You just need to wait six weeks after a tummy tuck before doing yoga.
@@DrWilliamMiami thats indeed assuring! Thank you dr 🙏
What if you get a 360 tummy tuck? Do you stand straight or hunch forwards still?
You still walk hunched over.
Thanks for this video !!!!
Oh darn. Yea I’ll just go to the gym. 😩😩 That’s way too long. I need to stand up and I already have back pain from scoliosis surgery 11 yrs ago.
When they say the back pain is worst... believe them... I'm 1 week post op and Jesus be a fence around my back 😂
Super interesting thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
I’m a young 44 year old that will be getting a TT/BBL in November I definitely need the procedures done at the same time. My bmi is a 25.7 no health issues and I workout please don’t let me get there and I can only do the tummy tuck
You can not do them at the same time due to the anestasia injection being under the knife for to long is risking your life
What is BBL
Hi Dr. William, What are the lipo key area when doing a tummy tuck? Do you do lipo on the butt if it’s too big?
I'm 12 days away from surgery. Can I use a walker at least the first few days?
What kind of wound problems do you see?
In another video you mentioned walking straight away so we are supposed to walk in a flexed position?
Yes, you start off by walking bent over until your back shouts "uncle" and you start to stand more erect day after day.
My Dr. Never covered my incision, and I've wondered why
6 weeks before standing straight?! Holy 💩 I thought it only took 2 weeks. I'm 10 days post-op and no wonder I'm still walking like my grandma. 😂 I find that I am limited by the suturs in my abs and not the discomfort in the insicion.
Yes. Most people say exactly that.
Dr. William, why you shouldn’t use a walker?
Thank you Doc!!!!
You are very welcome!
have a major question ❓ my surgeon did a tummy tuck on my n completely removed my belly button it's gone
Thanks 😊
WOW! I didn't know this. See you in a week
Prayers for a safe and fast recovery 🙏
So it doesn’t affect you with a MMO as well?
Does Lipo come with a tummy tuck? I want a tummy tuck but I have back fat around my bra area too. But I know they say lipo is super painful
No lipo and a tummy tuck are two different procedures. You can do a tummy tuck with lipo but typically patients getting lipo don't require a tummy tuck.
@ I am going to set my appointment up to see which one I require
@ thank u
Why is a walker not recommended??
Hi I had smart lipo in 2006,, I have fibrosis, am I a candidate for j plasma and tummy tuck?
Thank you
Welcome!
Why don’t use walker?
Thank you 😊
Why do you not recommend a walker?
Decreases mobility. I want my patients moving freely on their own to decrease the risk of blood clots.
Why no walker dr. William?
How about other practice to avoid that,
My surgeon told me to stand up straight after 1 week… why is there so much mixture in advice…
Anyway I bet that is why my belly is so swollen and I am concerned about incisions and the itching is unbearable!
@@DrWilliamMiami thank you for replying. I feel like I can’t get back to my normal life. Hopefully things change soon.
It will happen. Just be patient and trying to increase your activity slowly day by day.
@@DrWilliamMiami I will definitely increase activity. All I do is lay in bed and sit in a chair so that I don’t over strain myself.
What's the highest safe bmi you would do.
I don't think of it like that. I think of it as getting your BMI to the lowest level you can to get rid of internal fat and have the safest surgery with the best possible result. IF you have surgery with a high BMI you have more complications and your results are not as good.
So can I get a TT and a BBL at the same time? It doesn’t seem like that’s possible if you’re not allowed to sleep/ sit on your behind for months.
You can get a TT/BBL combined. I am 2 wks post op & I am sleeping in a recliner with pillows on my back, a boppy pillow & a bbl pillow. It lifts my butt & elevates my legs. It will be very uncomfortable, but you get through it.
Why did your camera man blur it out? That’s not like him 😤
He posted the video on Instagram and it got removed somehow and I believe maybe it was because of graphic content. Which is stupid if that was the reason cuz it’s a SURGEON and if people can’t handle graphic they shouldn’t follow the page but anyways the point is that the video is no longer on Instagram, now it’s here and blurred out 🙁 but still great information anyways..
You can’t post this stuff on you tube and expect it won’t be either blurred or deleted. It’s graphic. Just like nudity. It’s not an 18+ platform.
@@melh8179 not true many surgeons don’t blur out here on UA-cam and videos are still up. UA-cam is “smart” enough to know these videos are for educational purposes.
Are you still able to do TT BBL combos? I am in so many surgery groups and I see soooooo many posts of woman getting told that Dr Williams no longer offers combo surgery.. I hope this doesn't happen to me because after paying almost 13,000$ and flying across the country I want both done together😭
@@alo9854 omg!!!! I would be so sad if he does not do both for me. I travel all over the world for work and it is very difficult to get off. That’s why I want to do both and get it over with. I would cry so much. My sx date is in two weeks omg I hope he does both for me.
@@judenefen3578 same with me! I can not take time off, I REALLY hope he is able to do both. It's very frustrating reading all of these experiences with women where they were forced to choose to either only get the TT or find another surgeon. Especially because, in most cases those women STILL have not received refunds of their money either. I HOPE this does not happen to us😭😭
@@alo9854 omg they didn’t get the difference owed?!?!? That is very stressful. I go in two weeks and I will come back and comment.
@@judenefen3578 some did get a partial refund (MONTHS later) and I STILL see posts where women will call and call and either get hung up on (after telling them they need a refund) or haven't heard from anyone. Let's pray this doesn't happen to us. Def keep me updated PLEASE I'm beyond stressed 😫
Omg I'm kinda scared I want to get a tummy tuck but I doubt it also
Curious, why not use a walker after a tummy tuck?
Slows down recovery and prevents patients from moving and we want patients to move a lot to prevent a blood clot.
I'm 19 days post op. I only needed my walker for the first week. Now I'm walking bent over a bit still but no assistance of a walker or cane.
How do you sleep I want to ge5 s tummy tuck but I’m scared of how I’m going to sleep because I already have pains in my back.
OMG, such pain for beauty, I'm in shock, think I'll keep up the core exercises ha :)
What will be the position when sleeping?
A wedge and pillows behind the neck and back and then a wedge under the legs--we call it the beach chair position with the back up and the knees bent so there is no stress of the upper abdominal flap and no stress along the incision. Thank you for the question.
@@DrWilliamMiami Thank you for taking the time to answer my question 😊
I'm in the 3rd week now but I still haven't seen my stomach become flat
How is the result now
Wait
It’s been like 10days and I’m almost completely back to normal
I had an extensive tuck 360
I feel like it’s got better to fast from everyone else taking so much longer
I’m not pushing myself either.
Wow! Congratulations!
Is it blurred out on purpose or just me?
This year is my year. 😊2024

Is the pain of a tummy the same or worse then a c section recovery
I think it hurts more than a C-section with a more difficult recovery--that's what most patients have told me.
10 time worse
I had one 5 wks ago. You're going to be very uncomfortable and sore. I had drains in for a week. The first 2 wks is the absolute worst but my biggest source of pain was actully having to walk hunched over. My back was on fire. During those first two weeks I actually told my fiance I wish I had never done it but now I love my results. Its a huge difference. I no longer have to hide the excess fold over skin flap. I literally cried the first time I tried on a two piece bathing suit. My kids are grown so I've been wanting to do this for a long time. If you can make thru those first two weeks it gets better.
Is crasy my c section hurted 20 million times more than my tt
Doctor ...?
Mohon maaf saya mau bertanya ?...
Berapa lama [BULAN / MINGGU] kah, kita harus membungkukan badan kita , sampai benar² sembuh ?..😁. Hai salam kenal , saya penonton INDONESIA🇲🇨😍.
Can a tummy tuck be done without the drainage
It can. I don’t think it is as much in favor now as it was several years ago. Personally I use drains in all of my patients because I usually also do a lot of liposuction with my tummy tucks.
