Bit late but for anyone reading the comments and wondering: the unlocking license shows the authorization you've got from DJI to fly in restricted areas. You can request these on the DJI website with proof that you are allowed to do so by your government and if approved by DJI, it will appear in the app and you will be able to take off in a restricted flight zone.
Greetings, thank you for taking off the time to explain in details each setting. This has really been helpful for a drone beginner pilot like me. Tha k you so much.
Hey Mike, I have just purchased a second hand MP2 and have been looking at this video. I must say it was very comprehensive and a lot of very useful informative tip & tricks. Thank u again and keep up the fantastic review work 10/10 :))))))
Good video but I think there is one mistake. The exif data on video shot 4k h.265 shhows that both 4k FOV and 4K HQ are recorded in 10bit not just 4k HQ.
@@DroneSupremacy Thanks for the detailed video. I'm not sure if you've revisited this comment in the past year, but the original comment from @Rob Collins is correct. Both modes can record in 10-bit 4:2:0 color space. The HQ mode crops into the sensor to give you exactly 3840x2160 pixels so you get a one to one readout of the sensor to the output resolution (4K UHD). This potentially results in better image quality because the drone's processor is not doing any destructive down sampling from the full resolution of the sensor (5544x3694) to your selected recording resolution. The downside to HQ mode, as you can see in your video, is reduced field of view.
Thank you very much, Mike. I saw other tips said gimbal can be moved side way by hold on screen and move left to right, can you confirm? I am consider to get the one same as yours.
I have the Crystal Sky monitor hooked up to mine so that I can see the imagery better. I have run into a problem with the video down-link. Seems like the live video feed lags at times and jumps. During this event, video also freezes with a blurred image, but lasts for maybe a half second. I do not have the channel set to auto. Could that be a problem. Could the video problem be caused by interference or camera settings?
I own both a Mavic Pro and a Mavic 2 Pro. The operation of the exposure dials at the upper right corner of their controllers is different. On the Mavic Pro, when the dial is rotated left of right, the exposure value change continuously and the controller/phone (DJI GO 4 app on a Samsung Galaxy S9 phone) makes a chirping sound as the value changes. On the Mavic 2 Pro, the dial must be rotated fully left of right to make the exposure value change 1 stop and the controller makes no sound when this happens. I'm using the same phone for both controllers. Is there a setting (programming the exposure dial) for the Mavic 2 Pro controller to make it's exposure dial operate like the exposure dial on the Mavic Pro controller?
Mike, my DJI Mavic 2 Zoom just arrived this week and have downloaded your video. It's been raining here in Houston so I haven't made my first flight. It's in "Beginner's" mode. When you explained the 5D buttom and what you can assign to it I did not see: "Increase Aperture or Decrease Aperture" listed. I have downloaded the latest updates for the drone and controller. What does show up for the 5D button are: * Camera Forward/Down * Metering/Focusing * AE Lock/Unlock * Increase EV * Decrease EV Nothing about Aperture Any suggestions?
I have a spark remote combo and all this is new to me. I have the app on a LG 7 how do l down load pictures and videos. ??? Thanks for your help. 👍.UPDATE. Already figured it out. 👍.
Hi Mike, Fan from india, planning to buy mavic 2 pro now in june 2020. Does this drone still worth Or i should wait for next upgraded drone on mavic series from dji..
Hola Mike. I´m in Madrid (Spain). In your Mavic Pro 2 Settings video, you say that, to change from P (Positining Mode) to T (Tripod Mode), it´s necessary to enable those swhitchs. I just can´t change from P to T mode, I have no success. Thank you for your time.
Well done Mike. Marathon Vid! Great to have all the app options outlined. Just one point, at 15:00, might be good to see if the transmission mode makes any difference to the performance of the phone with any lag. I would think that on a standard 6 inch phone screen, you're probably not going to see the difference of image transmission increased to 1080, so if it affects performace at all, I'd actually think it better to leave at 720. I figured the 1080 would be useful if you're using a tablet instead of your phone... Not sure; be good to play. Cheers as ever, Ian in London
Im curious, does anyone have a clue what the 'close tips' option, for C1/C2, is? Its around 12:50. Someone asked on reddit but no real answers. Thx to whomever might help!
I believe those are those small tool tips that appear in the left of your screen, like “strong wind, fly with caution” or “altitude too high, obstacle avoidance disabled” etc. Sometimes they get in the way and maybe by assigning the button to close the tips you can easily get rid of them :)
best buy sells them buy it and fly it same day including the fly more kit ,,, same price , , by the way drone supremacy im a fan thanks for all you do for us .

Very comprehensive. Lots of neglected tips shared. 😊👍
Getting ready to pull the trigger on this drone, and will be watching this video a lot before it gets here, LOL!

Is there a way to make the max speed in position mode slower? I need it to be half as fast
Thank you very much

Yes I can confirm, it does that! :)
@@DroneSupremacy great! Thank you very much. I will book now. Suggest to add to your guide too. 😁
Great video.
One Question: Can you program the 5D button on the controller to turn on and off the landing lights that are on the bottom of the drone?
I have the M2P controller but I don't have the option to stop the charging of my phone, as in your video (latest firmware and updates all applied).
Great Job Thank You!!

Hey man! The Zoom has a fixed aperture so you can’t change it, it’s set at 2.8
I didn't know that. Thanks.... I'm in the learning mode :-)
