I just purchased a Mavic 2 pro... I’m heading to Best Buy after work to pick it up and I’m so excited that I can afford such a perfect gift for myself. I’m 55 and feel alive ! I can’t wait to fly her.....😀🤟🏻🙌🏻 I think it’s the Cadillac of drones. Yippee 😁
You taught me in 30 mins all the things I've been trying to learn since I bought my drone 2 years ago. I finally have the chance to sit down and learn to use it properly and this video was the perfect teacher for me! Thank you!
Best video I have watched for the drones. I just picked up my mavic 2 Pro yesterday, along with the fly more pack. I charged everything and played around with it just for a few minutes. Then I watched your video today. I was completely uncomfortable yesterday with my drone, afraid to do anything with it. Now that I've watched your video, I'm much more at ease and can now enjoy my drone I think. So thanks for the awesome video.
My wife and I just bought the Mavic 2 zoom. We are looking forward to taking many great pictures here in New Hampshire. Your video has a lot of great information. I’ll be watching this over and over again. Great job thank you
I never went to college but now I know how the students feel! But thank you so much for all the info. That was a straight up ninja display of how to understand your drone if you already understood your drone!
Great beginner tutorial thank you. Just got one of these & here are my top tips for anyone who comes across this video & has just purchased one or is thinking about one. 1. Get insurance for your drone ASAP! 2. Look to see if you need to register your drone with any local authority. 3. Pay attention to local no fly zone areas 4. For the love of all that is good for your drone: learn the emergency stop command to stop the motor blades from spinning( you will use it at some point) 5. Make sure to grab a helipad landing for your drone - this will allow it to land anywhere regardless of terrain 6. Above all enjoy - these things are incredible fun :)
6:20 Always turn on controller before drone. Controller > drone > app. If you turn on the drone first, it could think it lost connection and try to return to home. (Goes for all drones) Also the antennas should only be flat if you are planning on flying above yourself. Best signal is the broad side towards the drone - not the tip of the antenna. Small details. Other then that a super walkthrough 👍🏻
FYI 8:15 make sure you try all batteries at home . On these drones batteries need updates as well,. Nothing worse than getting out there and realizing you didn’t update not only drone but all your batteries. Enjoy!
@@mjdb71 put the battery in your drone, turn it on, and it will tell you that there are inconsistencies in the firmware and it will recommend that you update it. Your batteries have a small onboard computer.
I learned that the hard way when I travelled to Europe... I got home and updated all of my batteries and even checked to see if the damn propellers needed to updated too 😂
I have watched this video before but I am taking UAS training for work and they sent me this video as prep. So congrats! The State of Ca is using your video for training.
Make sure you visit some videos about the batteries! They need special attention to them at times, especially if you are like me with crappy winter weather, and you need to store the drone away for long periods of time!
Very useful, thank you especially for us rookies. First time drone owner, I’ve ordered the Mavic 2 Pro and the Fly More Kit, just waiting for it to be delivered!
Great tutorial! Chomping at the bit, waiting for my drone to arrive. After rewiewing many drones, your information was a major factor in my choosing the Mavic 2 Zoom! Dennis
Man I just bought the mavic 2 zoom and I haven’t even unboxed it yet illy first drone ever and I can’t thank you enough for the time you spent on this video I don’t think u understand what I bought yet
Just bought a mavic 2 pro... New to drones... Your tutorial here even tho very quick run thru is awesome... Little things like propellers... I bought mine second hand near new. No manual... Didnt know that the blades are colour coded... Learnt something already... This one I got still had the plastic on the power pack... Hand controller only at 70%...so it's nearly new... Looking forward to learning, practising and shooting.. Beginner mode will be me until I have more confidence and understanding.. Cheers for Perth in western Australia NOTE: my blades are all same... No markings...
Jeven...... This is by far one of the best how to videos of the Mavic 2 app I have seen. For that matter it's the best explanation of the go 4 app on the web… I've even learned things about my current Mavic pro that I didn't even know existed. I had so many things on the controller screen that I never knew about until I watched your presentation. Very in depth, very specific, and the pointer on the screen is so helpful. I've seen many other video presentations mention features and you don't know what they're touching on the app screen. But I could follow yours easily. DJI should Have this video posted on their website and they should be hiring you as their official demonstration presenter. Obviously this is an example of the kind of in depth and effective teaching you do in your videos ( do you teach Final Cut Pro or Premier?).... I plan on purchasing you're film school and I will use your link to purchase the Mavic 2 pro. (seeing the live screen of the auto and manual camera controls on the go 4 app convinced me I need to get the pro) . Again thank you very much for your engaging and extremely effective presentations.
I'm in need of a repeat of this video with better mouse highlights. ADD, can I get something that can be a bit more attention drawing please, the app explanation rocks n I love it but cant follow well =(
Still a great video. I have had my Zoom for about 7 months. I watched this video before I bought it, and came back to it now. After the latest firmware update, I had some issues in the app with some settings. This video helped me get back on track with it! Thanks for the video!
Same here! Ordered the drone from Best Buy, and the fly-more kit from Ebay. Should be here Tuesday. I also ordered the hard/foam box to keep it all safe. Can't wait to fly this thing, I've been wanting one since they came out on the market. This is going to put my Yuneec Q 500 4k to shame in every way. Hopefully I can sell the Yuneec.
Have flown a lot of smaller drones to practice and now ready. Just ordered my Mavic Enterprise and after the video I am super excited for it to arrive Tx mate
Hello Jeven today i bought my first Mavic 2 pro i cant wait to fly! and thank you for your tutorial its really usefull info.Regards from the Netherlands.
I am like most people or men who don't read instructions but for me I rather watch a viedo to learn how to , this was a well detailed beginner viedo I have the mavic pro 2 mine is for doing self viedos on my overlanding trips thanks for being patience in your viedo details on how to better understand how to do basic things to fly I did my first flight but being respectful to my neighbors who are drone haters 😮
Jeven I recently purchased and now have my Mavic Zoom, haven't flown it yet and that's the reason for this posting. I've watched a number of videos for drone beginners but I must admit yours was the most user friendly to me which also includes a checklist which made it even better. I'll use all your tips on my first flight.
Thanks for a great tutorial mate , wifey and I are planning to purchase a mavic drone your video has inspired us even more now to go fetch one Cheers from down under 🇳🇿🇳🇿😎😎
Great presentation.... I just got my drone 3 days ago. I will keep watching your video and learn from you. You're a good instructor. Thank you and God bless.
I'm not new to drones, but I'm new to drones of this league! I ordered my Mavic 2 Zoom last week and it just arrived today! I'm excited and ready to take it out, but I'm smart enough to not do so until I learn a lot more about it. I'm grateful to you for your video! There's no "how to" or "what does that" instructions that come with the Mavic 2. One would think that maybe DJI would've made some "how to" type of videos, but I haven't found any. I'm glad I found your's. I've subscribed and will definitely be learning as much as possible from your videos and website about the Mavic 2! Thank you so much for your time and effort to teach us Mavic rookies.
I have been waiting for my drone for a week and I am really scare about flying it, but I got to say this tutorial was really great. I actually did step by step everything and I feel a lot better to go out and fly. I cannot wait for more tutorials.
I'm buying this in China so thanks for covering absolutely everything, I was starting to wonder if I would need to use the Chinese version of the app but this shows that I won't need to by downloading that. (otherwise it would might force me to use Google maps which doesn't work in China)
I marked this video as my #1 setup video as I was waiting for my zoom to arrive, it had all the info. a guy could want or need. Then I got my drone and fired up your video which was to train us newbie's. Wow with drone in hand, and your video going, there was no way I could come close to keeping up to your speed of information flow, it would be great if you did the same exact video, but slowed it way down for we could have time to find what you say, and hit some correct buttons.
absolutely a great video, my mavic pro 2 comes Monday, I have a regular mavic pro now. you did a fantastic job. retired Police Captain, State of Michigan Richard Miller thanks
Jeven, got my drone today--just recorded my unboxing too. Just want to say this was the most informational video I have ever watched. This helped me understand everything about my drone and take it to its full potential. thank you
Hey Jeven, very good instructional video! This video can also help all DJI pilots, not just the new Mavic 2 owners because of all the details you covered on the Go4 App; I know some setting will not be available to all models! Thanks for getting the video out so quickly, I'll be posting links to the vid to other social media site too. Thanks again!

Chris L Congratulations on getting your new drone! Yes, with every new drone comes a new learning curve, especially when they have updated their original App! I didn’t buy a new Mavic 2, I have a Mavic Pro and live it and its capabilities. Yes, there are several other channels out there that have or will have continued instructional video on the M2’s. Most of all have fun and fly safe Chris, we were all newbie at one point! Went to your page but no contact to pass along other info.
I am not going to watch this yet as I won't to conquer my Spark before I start drooling on these ha ha stay safe see ya and thanks for getting this out so fast
Jevon, it seems to remain confusing between the H vs the zoom models. Do they both have dog, are the photo and picture qualities close on both. I like the tricks with the zoom if the quality and other capabilities are near the same. Looking at compressed video and photos on channels may not be what one really gets in person. Which one do you really want to carry in your bag?

Jeven Dovey do I put the propellers first
can change the flight sticks so right stick is throttle ? or up and left is forward
Are the camera the same on both the pro and zoom? Another vid I watched said the pro has some more features then the zoom?
Scott Smith yes the pro2 is better tho
Hayy Papi Pro is better sensor but no zoom so it’s a preference. I actually like the zoom better after flying both
I just purchased a Mavic 2 pro... I’m heading to Best Buy after work to pick it up and I’m so excited that I can afford such a perfect gift for myself. I’m 55 and feel alive ! I can’t wait to fly her.....😀🤟🏻🙌🏻 I think it’s the Cadillac of drones. Yippee 😁
