I'm SO GLAD THAT YOU DID not ADD ANNOYING BACKGROUND MUSIC!!! THANKS!! VERY RELAXING WATCHING UR VID WITH JUST THE AQURIOUMNOISE,
The flag tail is a dream fish to me... probably won't ever own one, but love watching them. Beautiful "runt" 😊
loaches are lucky to live in there :)
I have two C.L. Beautiful fish with great characters. Mine love bloodworm, I didn’t realise they ate what we call courgette, I have a Bristlenose Plec who loves the outer skin, I wondered where the rest was going! They don’t come out much during the day but are manic in the night.
amazing tank
Very nice clown loach. Yours clown loach colour 1 of the best i hv seen in youtube. Great job buddy.
+Neo Zilla Thanks Neo. Glad you enjoyed the video.
beautiful clown loaches!
Beautiful fish. Thanks for sharing video.
Really interesting Clown loaches to watch them feed on piece of cucumber. Great video.
Thank you sir. Glad you enjoyed the video.
beautiful tank!!
Very nice tank mate beautiful 👍👍👍
Your clown loaches are amazing. They’re my favourite, I have six. New sub 😁
amazing.
Marvelous
Nice tank. Love you loaches. I also have cl but only two.
Thanks Robert. I really like them too. They are probably my favorite fish in the tank.
Amazing
What' beautiful setup.
How big is your tank? It' looks lovely, especially the driftwood deco. How long have you been keeping those loaches? I just got 7 of them today. Tiny ones. 4 cm in length.
Thanks for the kind words. The tank is 770 Gallons (10' long x 3' wide x 4' tall). One of my videos has me next to it so you can get perspective on the size. I've had this group of loaches for around 2 years. I've gotten into the practice of keeping newly acquired loaches at 85F for the first few weeks then gradually bringing the temps down to 80F. They seem to be really susceptible to Ich and the high temps help prevent an outbreak. Good luck with your shoal!
sweet aquarium
what food you feed them???
I'm from Brazil and I was delighted with your aquarium, I would like to know the measurements (Length X Height X Width) did you use Glass or Acrylic?
Apologies for the slow response (apparently three years late). Tank is made out of 32mm thick acrylic. Dimensions are 3M long x 1.2M high x .9M wide.
that fresh cucumber or boiled?
What a huge and beautiful bunch! Have you had problems with them uprooting and damaging plants?
Thank you. The plants are all fake (plastic) so no issues there. I can't keep live plants because the Silver dollars and the barbs will destroy them.
Como se chama esse peixe cinsa das nadadeiras vermelhsd e da calda vermelho com preto ?
Anyone know why my clown loach color is fading?
Nice tank😎💪🏽
Very nice ☺☺
How do you maintain the substrate? Is water pump enough to clean it?
Is that a fork..
that tank is awesome !!!!! best yet on the tube.. what are the large black striped fish?
Thanks Carl, I appreciate the kind words. They are called Widebar Silver Dollars (AKA Emperor Blue Hooks). Their scientific name is Myleus Schomburgkii. They are bottomless pits...they eat a ton.
qué linda es la naturaleza Cómo ha creado cosa hermosa para la vista del ojo humano Qué lindo acuario Y qué bellos los peces.
+Alex Diaz, great video, what is the other group there?
+Biswajit Mitra Thanks Biswajit. The large round fish with the black stripe are Myleus Schomburgkii. I have seen them listed under the common name Wide-bar Silver Dollar, Black-bar Silver Dollar or sometimes Emperor Blue Hooks. There is also a school of barbs called Dawkinsia tambraparniei that are listed as False Aurulius Barbs. Glad you liked the video.
Thanks
Wow so nice larg clown locah
awesome ..
Dude.. That oscar did not bite any other fish? Nice tank
How did you get them to start eating it I have put in my tank and they will not touch it?
Hmm, not sure. Mine went after it the first time I dropped it in the tank. If you are feeding a quality fish food, it's not really necessary.
What's the name of that silver fish with red fins and loach coloured tail?
flagtail prochilodus- it's actually an algae eater. Mine is a bit of a runt, but they can get big (up to 16").
what is the fish called with the orange and black tail and orange fins?
There are a few varieties and I'm not really sure which one I have. They are called Flagtail Prochilodus or Semaprochilodus Insignis- they are great algae eaters.
what beautiful loaches!! :o
how do you get them to have such rich colour even when theyre big?
Also mine really do not seem to like zucchini, or cucumber, ive even tried pak choi, but i want to give them a varied diet :(
Thank you. I'm not sure why their colors haven't faded like a lot of the older/larger clown loaches I've seen. Their standard diet is New Life Spectrum pellets (I rarely feed them Zucchini or Cucumber; maybe once every couple of months). I do 50% water changes about every 10 days or so. My nitrate levels are pretty much always below 20. They also have plenty of space to swim and lots of hiding spots. Not sure if those things have anything to do with their color, but it might.
Alex Diaz 300 gal water change every 10 days. Yeow!
i buy 7 clown loachs in wal mart yesterday hopefully get that powerful color nice video 👍👍👍👍👍
+Jch Nice! Keep an eye out for Ich. My new loaches almost always get it. If you notice white spots on them, increase the temperature to 86F for 4 weeks and do frequent water changes and it should clear up. Thanks for the kudos and good luck with your CLs.
+Alex Diaz thanks for your answer
What do you suggest me to make my loach grow a little bit faster?
Feed them lots and provide them with healthy water parameters and they'll grow. I've noticed that their growth rate slows when they get to around 5".
Wow
Hello.. I love clown loaches but they are the most difficult fish to survive for me.. I have red parrots angles sharks and catfish all doing fine but I always loose 2 out of 3 loaches when I add.. Any suggestions on curbing my KILL RATE would be most helpful.. thx Joe
I have heard that keeping them in warmer water (85F-86F) for the first month or so is helpful. I'm not sure if it has to do with the fact that they are so susceptible to Ich and that Ich can't reproduce in those warmer temps, or if they just prefer warmer water, but IME that seems to help. Just make sure you have plenty of aeration, because warmer water holds less oxygen.Buying decent size loaches (3"+) is also helpful. The little 1" or 1.5" babies that you see being sold in the big chain pet stores aren't hardy at all. A loach with a little more size on it is going to have a much better chance at making the transition into your tank. Water quality is also really important with loaches. Frequent water changes are helpful. Make sure your ammonia and nitrite levels are zero and that your nitrate levels are low (the lower the better, but 20 or less is good). Good luck!
Thanks.. I've been buying the smallest \ of the lot.. I'll try buying larger ones :)
aww
Are there any plants that Clown Loach don't like ? They eat mine when they have done with the cucumber ! I invested a lot into plants which looked beautiful but are fast disappearing.
I know there are some people who keep them in planted tanks without any problems at all and others who have experienced issues like you are having. I don't think I can really help you here (all my plants are plastic). Outside of changing the type of plants you have (which might work), another option may be to change out the entire school of CLs so that hopefully you get a group that doesn't have a taste for them. I had a group of CLs that would actively hunt other fish like a pack of wolves (I think they picked this up from watching my Oscar eat minnows), but I also know of people who keep CLs with tiny fish without problems. Like most fish, their personality can vary from one fish to another, but since they are a schooling fish, the habit of one of them tends to turn into the habit of the entire group. Hope it works out for you. Live plants are awesome, but I have too many fish that eat them, so I'm stuck with fake.
Alex Diaz I thought your plants were real. They look good. I can't part with my Clown Loach so I suppose I am stuck with it. They are very clever and act very differently to other fish. As you said they do act like a pack together. Mine are only interested in destroying plants though and not other fish, thank goodness. Thank you :)
Susan Field Thanks Susan. The long vines are from an arts and craft store and when they get a little algae growth on them, they tend to look realistic. In regards to the CLs, they definitely live up to their names, don't they?
how long did you leave the cucumber in before they started to eat it?
Jimmy Le The first time I dropped it in, it took them maybe a minute or two to start chomping on it. The loaches are the only fish in the tank that I did not raise from babies, so there's a chance that the previous owners fed them zucchini or cucumber. They really seem to like it and took to it pretty much right away.
The cucumber need to cook first ?
I feed it to them raw.
I just got 30 gal tank with some fishes and I've got 2 of those about 2" size. Just worried they are getting food. Because the food usually stays on the surface and eaten by other fishes. What do you advise?
Eventually they should learn to come to the surface to feed (mine have), but you should feed sinking pellets since they are naturally bottom feeders. 👍
@@aldiaz33 are they friendly with carpet plants? I want to set up an aquascape wondered should I consider carpet plants or not
@@VugZ That should be fine. I don't believe they eat plants, but I've never had live plants in my tank. Some of the other fish I keep are herbivores, so they would destroy any plants I put with them.
Could somebody please tell me what the big circular fish in the back with 1 stripe are called.
Jasper Neale The scientific name I've seen used for them is Myleus schomburgkii, but I've seen that name applied to other similar-looking silver dollars as well. The common names I've seen them listed under is Wide-Bar Silver Dollar, Emperor Blue Hooks and Black-Bar Silver Dollar. Marcus has a video on them: ua-cam.com/video/yL8JfR1UivY/v-deo.html
Thanks man! Very helpful!!!
What is that you are feeding them
Raw zucchini.
Ey yo i‘t dat Zucchini????
Is that a fork in the tank ? Damn you have your loaches well trained eating with cutlery.
why your not feed them with blood worms
what is that you feed on your loaches? thank you

whats the bala shark looking fish with a red tail please? beautiful
Sold to me as a Redfin Bala Shark. Scientific name is Cyclocheilichthys Janthochir.
How big is your tank?
770G
Wow I did the same thing with a fork
Mine wont take the cukes, i gotta keep trying.
Over the years I've added some new CLs to the gang that weren't into them at first, but they watched the others, learned and eventually started going to town.

what is that you feed on your loaches? thank you
I normally feed the loaches sinking pellets. Every so often I feed them fresh Zucchini or Cucumber as a treat. They really seem to enjoy it.
@@aldiaz33 thank you bro
