In 40 years of fish keeping the biggest I ever saw were about 10-12 inches in an aquarist in Sunderland, after about 10 years in a group of 5, I had one 6 ins, one 5 ins, 2 four inch and one that was around 2.5 inches yet they were all the same size (around 2 inches) when I bought them. They used to go mad for child pellets and live or frozen bloodworm. Love the dog too.....couldn't concentrate on too much of the content lol.
Lovely chunky clowns matey, you need to visit pier aquatics, I went there a month ago & they had clowns that were 12” to 14” long. A few of them with yours would be mental
I remember seeing one about 10 years ago and it was 14” long. I’ve never forgotten it, unbelievable when you see them in person so big

Any video about clown loaches is one that gets a like from me. Beautiful fish. Ain’t it something to see how big some of these fish can get when in non-ideal set ups? Meanwhile we do our best to give them the best home and might not get the same results. Though being 15 years old def is a huge part of a clown loaches size! Good score!

I can't remember where I heard it from but the tank size doesn't stunt a fish's size. Poor water quality does. Experiments with fish in constant clean flow in and out of tiny tanks still produce big fish.
The biggest clown loach I have seen is about 14 to 16 inches in Pier Aquatics in Wigan. They have three or four for sale

I’ve heard that clowns school together when there small but once they get to a decent size they split up into smaller groups eventually living a life of solitude

I've only recently started watching your videos and your obsession with clown loaches has rubbed off from me I have now ended up from 1 to 12 clown loaches nowhere near the size of yours but they will get there 🤣🤣
Thay do get big. And thay watch every move you make. Thay also like the heat to.
Keep telling you I know some in Tunbridge wells thst are massive bigger than them there for sale too the shops had them for 11 years and I think they were a fair size when they got them, ( the shop was a curry house in a big 8 foot tank it’s shutting down)

Oh your telling me! But I agree, I have a physics class in High School and my teacher owns a fish tank. But what shocks me though are their actual size, I thought they would be minnow sized, but I saw one of them in my physics class fish tank, it was actually like the size of a bluegill.

We have 2. The largest is 21cm in length, the other slightly smaller. They are incredibly strong!

My girlfriends parents just gave us there one and it’s 12/14 years old they can’t remember exactly. But it pretty much looks about the same size as them. Amazing how big they are.

Yes the condition they kept it in was insufficient but they grew big so that says something about the care . Fish don’t grow much if they are in bad conditions
What size is the fish tank that you put them in? I asked cuz that tank looks like a 55

I've seen them. They are at least a foot! Must be 20 years old them things. Awesome. I literally couldn't believe my eyes! They are still there now.
I’ve got a shop near me with 4 that size I had to look again when I saw them , I believe there very very old fish

I'm surprised your arowanas don't eat your smaller clown loaches. I had a silver arowana in a 1200 liter tank with 16 wildcaught Frontosa but when he got to about 60cm (2 foot) he ate the smallest of my Frontosa (probably about 12/13 cm - 5 inches) which is bigger than many of your clowns. Any idea why?

I'm assuming this video was filmed a while ago as your 4 ft tank the other day was full of clowns and your 10ft tank was empty??

Largest Clown Loaches I've seen in person were a good 35cm & 22years old at that time- they weren't stunted or deformed like the 2 from the 60L-70L that you got. I'm glad these 2 loaches are in a much better living situation with you now as your Clowns all look great.
The largest clown loach I've seen via video/ picture (that was measured with a tape measure) was just over 45cm, apparently they can get to 60cm if given enough time, space & high enough water quality to grow properly, but so far that has only happened in the wild & I think a zoo from memory.
