Best thing about chain loach: they swim backwards! 🤣
Also: hell yeah snails!
Definitely do a part 2. Please.😊
Thanks for the tip on rubberlip plecos! I didn’t know there was an option for a 10 gallon pleco. Must have missed the times you’ve mentioned them before. I will definitely be researching them. Thanks again, Bob!
Fricken awesome & timely video Bob! Thank you! Do more of this when you can for sure!
I love pygmy corydoras.
Thanks for dropping the knowledge! Love to know your favorites.
I really need to get some dwarf Corys! So. Dang. Cute!!!
Love all the B roll.
I have ramshorns and mts. Love them.
Great video! Nice choices, original and show your vast knowledge!
I agree! I love all my snails. I go out of my way to make sure I have bladder snails, and MTS in all of my tanks. Just love them! I really don't get why people don't. I also have Nerites, and a couple Mystery snails. But the "pest" snails are always my favorites.
Thanks for the tip on Excellent topic
Thanks bob
Setting up a spare ten gallon aquarium soon, so this was very timely 😊 probably going to get habrosus corydoras and more shrimp for it. No aquarium feels complete with some corys.
Great info. I've been wanting some type of cleaners for my 10 gallon tank...your timing couldn't be better. Hope u r doin' okay! 👍🍄😎
that was awsome video about cleaners
Just got 10 ottos, 10 Amano, and 5 neuritis for my 10 gallon. Just to clarify they are actually just in the 10 for quarrantine, my boss just got a 55 so I am quarrantining half for him
Great video
Thanks
I'm newer to the hobby, been keeping fish about 4 months...I got 3 snails at the beginning, and now am up to 3, because my brown algae problem was NUTS, but now everything is a-ok. Definitely have not had a population explosion as everyone wants of. I clean my tank 2ce weekly and it works out just fine
Thanks For Sharing ✌
Thanks for watching
Great list.
Thanks!
Cool ideas. I never considered chain loaches.
I LOVE MY CATFISH SOOO CUTE AND SO MUCH PERSONALITY AND IM BRAND NEW ITS MY 1ST TANK ITS 10G TANK AND WANTED TO START SMALL AND IM LOVING IT SO FAR ❤
Otocinclus. Get 2 or 3 of these guys. They are fast and efficient. I have them in all my tanks. Flat surfaces, leaves, substrate, rocks, and wood. They clean them all.
Just wondering, will they also eat leftover food like flakes?
What’s your take on supposedly only using a sand substrate. Especially for Pygmy’s etc. looks like you’re having success with a smooth gravel? Do they still do their natural behaviours with it and sift it around?
happiness is a cup full of pygmy corys
Yeah I had a snail problem, but after I purchased a cichlid that problem was no more but I had to get rid of him due to him getting to big for my tank . Now I’m looking to have a nice 55 gallon with different types of fish .
I have been encouraging the bladder snails that came with my live plants. My dwarf gourami and small squad of glowlight tetras seem to pick the newest hatch off the glass though, and bladder snails need to get air. I know I have several still, but I hardly see them. Also, the fish hardly leave any food to get to the substrate. It's an interesting issue where I might have to actually add snails.

So with the rubber lip pleco I beg to differ. The smaller pleco that works very well in any tank and planted one being preferred is a the dwarf clown pleco. I have kept BN pleco's in 10gallons before. In fact my max sized one is about 4inches. Not sure if they come in 2 different sizes one being standard and the other being dwarf. My rubber lip is close to 5inches. I bought full grown. It has cleaned up my tank😍
I love my pond snails. When they first got in my tank they boomed but I just kept scooping them out and fed less and the population is down to a small number now... plus the cherry shrimp and guppy fry are a little faster to find stray food than the snails so that probably helps... but I intentionally moved them into my other 3 tanks after I saw how easy it was to just naturally manage population just because it makes maintenance a little easier for me. If you only have one tank I could see being passed about them, but once you have a couple and are putting in hours for maintenance... if they can coexist with the fish I Don't see why you would not want them in to help
One of the most favorite parts of my aquariums are the cleanup crews!!thanks for sharing Bob hope you're having a great day!!🙏♥️🌿🐟🌿💚
Is their anything that eats staghorn algae. I heard amanos do but I have like 4 in my tank and they dont seem to eat it
Who in the world would not like Bob's Vids?????
Snails are good too but they multiply fast.
Could you get away with a clown pleco in a 10 gallon depending what else is in the tank?
Will the chain loaches eat the live shrimp or leave them alone?
Little Roomba’s 🐌🐌🐌
🤣🤣
3:46 I truly don’t get the internet sometimes, no where about ghost shrimp on yt do people mention, these are literally brackish water animals y’all, you cannot keep them in zero salinity lol. Awesome video though, very informative
A single Platy is great on hair and BBA!
I’ve got a vampireshrimp, he’s the most lazy and cowardy cleaner ever. He’s cute though
Will you do a favorite snails video
i have a 29 gal. tank advice?
rosy loaches!
I have thousands of snails and shrimp of every color and style.
Rubber lip plecos can get up to 7 inches and bristle nose plecos can get up to 6 inches. I’m not sure if your pleco is some variety or was specifically breed to be small(ie breeding smaller plecos with each other until they reach a smaller size)
That is completely false. Rubberlips dont get anywhere near 7 inches. Need to look at reputable fish sites. Not that trash that comes up on google search. www.seriouslyfish.com/species/chaetostoma-cf-thomsoni/
My problem with my bladder snails is that I feel bad that they don't have food so I throw wafers in just for them and end up with even more 🙈
Not fish related, at all, but have you listened to any of the guests on “the higher side chats” with Greg Carlwood on spotify? I’m sure you have but some of the information the guests provide is mind blowing! Check it out.
I forgot to mention that those topics I’m referring to are conspiracy and ufology related. 😉
didn’t mention how 6 dwarf chain loaches in california would cost 140 bucks!😂 only reason i don’t have any
💕👍
Doesnt the Corys require sand????
Can you make a video on his to breed Asian stone cat fish
@@BertShackleford ok bro
Which of these can go with platys
It's a 15 gallon aquarium
I have Platy's with Pygmy Cories, a gazillion shrimp all different kinds, and Orange Laser Cories. The platy's have about 25 or 30 fry, all are doing great!
Are these fish beta friendly ?
can i get 3 Siamese algae eater?
Ramshorn snails eat dwarf water lily (my experience).
Also a dozen Pygmy’s in a 10 gallon? Would that be ok with a centre piece fish as well, like a well behaved betta
The rubber nose pleco gets way bigger then 3 inches they get about 7 inches
Completely false, and this is the problem with getting information of off random websites. In the wild they can reach up to 5 inches. But fish in captivity rarely reach the same size as their wild counterparts.
How was camping?
Was cancelled due to the storm =(
@@SteenfottAquatics Ugh. Waiting on another 6 to 8 inches here. I thought about you yesterday and wondered if you had braved it alone!
@@SteenfottAquatics sorry to hear
my snails definitely eat my live plants !
Are you sure?? It says “A fully grown rubber lip pleco needs to be in a fish tank that is a minimum of 25 to 30 gallons.” And it can grow to 5-7 inches once fully grown since they live to 10+ years
I dont know who "it" is but they are entirely wrong. www.seriouslyfish.com/species/chaetostoma-cf-thomsoni/
What about 25-30 gallons?
Just get more!
So i got one guy saying minimum 6 for a 20 gallon and you saying 6 is fine for a 10 gallon... Now I'm just confused 🤣
