Blue Bayou is a song written by Roy Orbison and Joe Melson. It was originally recorded by Orbison who had an international hit with his version 1963. It later became Ronstadt´s signature song, with which she scored a Top 5 hit with her cover in 1977. Thanks Sarah!
Congratulations Sarah. I just checked out about a half dozen first reactions to this song and this artists, and you are the first and only one to have the taste and judgment NOT to interrupt the song before you've finished hearing it. I see people listen to 20-30 seconds of a song/video, and they go on pause and feel they already have a judgement to offer. That tells me that they value what they have to say, more than the value of the song itself. I think it's rude to the artist and to the viewer/listener to judge it before you know what you're talking about. You take it all in and evaluate it, and then make an informed statement. I really appreciate that. To the reactors who interrupt, I usually click off of them, for I too can make quick judgements. Thanks.
She was and always will be my favorite female vocalist of all time. Period. There was nothing she couldn't sing. And like most young men in the 70s I am not afraid to admit I had a major crush on her.
My heart is drowning with a mix feelings everytime i heard this Golden voice of Linda Ronstadt, it flies in the airwaves here in the Phillippines. "BLUE BAYOU"!
What a beautiful reaction, Sarah. You are such a treat to watch. ❤ Linda was truly one-of-a-kind. I'm so glad she is still being savored by younger audiences. Keep up your great work! 😉✌️
I’ve never been a big fan of “ musicals “… but years ago I DID… go to Radio City Music Hall… to see The Pirates Of penzance … simply to see and hear Linda Ronstadt’s voice… !!! The voice of an angel… always stunningly beautiful! 🌜🌞🌛
Glad you are doing more of Linda's music. She has had so many hits such as "Different Drum", "Poor Poor Pitiful Me", "Desperado" etc. Linda also did two great duets, "Somewhere Out There" (with James Ingram) & "Don't Know Much" (with Aaron Neville). You might also enjoy her collaborations with "Dolly Parton" & "Emmylou Harris". They did a few albums together called "Trio" in 1987 & 1999.
I Found a TRESSURE "Linda Ronstadt" -- you couldn't have said it any better. Linda Ronstadt has excelled at every genres she has done. Rock, Pop Spanish, Country, etc. Take your pick. She IS one of the all time greats. A National Treasure. ( I get it - the 's' is next to the 'a'. I do it all the time) With the passing of Jeff Beck I have been binging on his live shows. In particular the 2007 Crossroads concert. & 2009 Ronnie Scott's. RIP. (Jeff Beck, Freeway Jam + Blue Wind, Live in Japan 2009 Feb. 21) It's not really Freeway Jam that is just a tiny part of the Bass solo leading into Blue Wind.
I always loved this song, but when I listen to it now it reminds me of home, including the fishing boats and the beautiful sunrises and sunset’s. Thank you for sharing this Sarah, such a perfect description of homesick ❤😢.
I'm not gonna lie, sometimes it really sucks getting old. (I'm 72). BUT, it also means that I got to experience, first hand, in person, the amazing, amazing music and artists of the '60's through the '80's. And, Linda Ronstadt was up there at the top of the list. (I say was because a Parkinson's-like disease robbed her of her incredible singing voice when she was in her early '60's. Thankfully though, she's still with us). This song just slowly melts into your soul. It's like a balm for the hurts that medicine can't fix. Love you, Linda. 💕
I just listened to four of your reaction videos in a row for the first time. Although I've heard all of these songs hundreds of times in the past , watching your facial expressions brought an emotional response all over again. I really appreciate that you don't Interrupt the song during playback. You always wait until it's finished for your comments. Growing up during the 60's-70's and 80's is the reason I never watch the Grammy's these days.
Good reaction from you sweetheart for not interrupting and saving you reaction afterwards because was sooooperfect And cute. We all sang with her growing up. And you a lot of by letting sing her sing without stopping her Good job
Linda put out an album called “Linda Ronstadt with Nelson Riddle” 1n 1986. It is full of ‘Songbook classics, jazz, etc. Guarantee you will love it. A lot of the songs Angelina Jordan sings are in it. PS. Keep doing Angelina's reactions. I love watching & listening to her AND YOU.🤗
Thanks so much, Sarah - this is my favorite song/performance by Linda - she is so "casual" and yet stuns us with that incredible range... I love your reactions...
Love dear Linda; what an incredible singer. She got together with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris in Trio. Their 3-part harmony is beautiful. Check out their song: "The Sweetest Gift."

Hey Sarah, if you want to check out one of the greatest power ballads. Jennifer Rush, 'Power of Love' A one time massive hit, oddly forgotten about now.
I’m always torn between Linda Ronstadt and Karen Carpenter as the most beautiful, angelic voices and vocalists in all of Popular Music. They stand head and shoulders above anyone else who’ve recorded in the industry…
Such a loss, this beautiful voice has been taken from us by her medical conditions. She will forever be known as the greatest voice of her generation
Man it made me cry when I seen her condition like that
Yeah i forget exactly her what condition is but I saw her interview and she is missed. She is a beautiful soul. ❤
@@oldmanghost219 Yes, she has Parkinson Disease, and now does not sing in public.
Blue Bayou was first recorded by Roy Orbison who also did a great job. You should check into his music, it's great!
I couldn’t agree more! The voice of an angel 🌺✌️

Linda live no auto-tune. Just pure, God-given talent! She was my favorite female singer during the 70s. Please react to more Linda! Great reaction ❤
My favorite Linda Rondstadt song!
The sweetest voice this side of Heaven.
Her 1990 duet live with Aaron Neville doing "Dont know much" is a beautiful moment captured in time
This was my grandmother’s favorite song. It always makes me cry.
I saw her in concert at Red Rocks amphitheater in the 70’s….my hippy days…
Now Im approaching old age but I will never forget that concert.
She is one of a kind. I feel so honored to have followed her from the beginning of her career. There will never be another.❤❤❤
I grew up with this classic but watching it through someone else's eyes for the first time, makes it new again...

Sarah, your emotion gets to me as much as Linda's voice
My heart is drowning with a mix feelings everytime i heard this Golden voice of Linda Ronstadt, it flies in the airwaves here in the Phillippines.
"BLUE BAYOU"!
I've said it before, the best mezzo-soprano ever to lend her voice to popular music.
What a beautiful reaction, Sarah. You are such a treat to watch. ❤

Her duet with Johnny Cash (I Never will Marry) deserves a mention, too.
You are a pure soul.
I like the way you felt that.

Linda Legend, one of the greatest singers to grace the stage. Thanks for your reaction...
Great reaction to a beautiful song. Linda had the voice of an angel. And she has the soul of one too.

The best country song ever written.
I don't know why this channel was recommend to me, but I'm glad it was. What an incredibly attractive woman. And I mean that sincerely.

This was one of my moms favorite songs. Every time I hear it, it brings me back in time to her kitchen. Happy times and good memories.
Such a beautiful song and a gorgeous voice!! 😊
Linda dated Governor Jerry Brown of California a long time ago in the '80's I think and for quite some time.
One of the most beautifully powerful vocalists of those days. Thanks for playing this song for us all.
My pleasure David 🙏
Your reaction to Linda is heartwarming to share.

Wow
Listen to a tract from her Canciones de mi Padre album if you get a chance.
There's a reason they call her the best of all time... you might want to know her back up band became The Eagles.
New Orleans
I think her cover of Roy Orbison's song was better than his original! Do listen to some Roy Orbison , if you haven't....
No thanks. Fudge you and thinking that your opinion matters
