This video was helpful. I’ve been DPing for 1 1/2 years and I don’t often do rounds. I feel really confident multi-placing squares but struggle multi-placing rounds. Your rocking method is helping so much. I know this is an older video, but the information is timeless. Thanks for all of your videos. I really enjoy your company while I DP.
I do find Multiplacing intimidating. But you explained it in a way that makes it look easy to do, and I will attempt it next time I sit to work on my project. TY.
I love working with color but I'm not artistic so this I think I'll enjoy. Im Ocd but will have to guard against fretting. I'm ritualistic and I think that will be enjoyed here. I've done adult coloring for years. I'm getting so exciting
You know I had to subscribe right? So glad to find your channel haven't begun yet still doing research. Your channel has everything I need to start with clean habits something I love to do!
Hi Rachel. I am french canadian from Montreal so my english may be a little off. I have discovered dp and you yesterday and i have been watching you ever since. You relax me so much. Will be getting my first kit delivered on thursday. I just can't wait. Thank you for all that you do. Take care.
My mom is getting her very first diamond art club diamond painting and this will be her very first time doing it and all of your tutorials and this video will help her understand it plus with me loving to do diamond painting I get to help her to ,this is going to be a lot of help for her
I never could do multiplacing until I sort of got it but thanks to Mrs coffee and you I have learned how to multiplacer better I watch you both in slow motion and I then saw that both of you was rocking as you place the diamonds and I started trying to copy your movement when you was multiplacing and I did it in slow motion as I was watching you in slow motion and then Mrs coffee did the video and it helped me to realise that I was doing it right but very slowly but I kept trying it when I could and now I have got it down quite quickly now so without you both doing this hints and tips video's I would have given up and just single place but thank you both it really is helpful to us that maybe struggling with something diamond painting related. I would recommend to anyone who is having trouble with something please don't worry about asking any questions because you will not be the only person who is struggling with that same thing and if you don't ask how do we know even if it is something that seems simple to others. The one thing that I really love about people who are in your Facebook group are very kind, friendly and helpful and everyone tries to help you. Thank you so much for yours and Mrs coffee group.
I Love how Kind you are... no judging. Whether you choose to multiplace or single place every drill, you are doing fine! Personally, my OCD won't let me see past the gaps! I spend too much time with my straightener! LOL BTW, Stainless Steel straighteners and tips are AWESOME!
I no longer diamond paint but enjoy watching people do it and I was always curious how the multi placer tool worked. Back when I did I only knew of the single placer. So cool! Thanks for the video
Thank you, Rachel. I’m about to start my first custom and I have a fancy new pen and some rose gold multiplacers. I’ve always been a single placer but it’s time to move on. Wish me luck! ❤️🇨🇦
I couldn't diamond paint if it hadn't been for multiplacing. I would have given up ages ago. I've been diamond painting for 2 yrs. now, and this was my favorite tool. My favorite placer is the 9 placer. It just takes practice.
I am definitely a single placer and confetti girl...... But with my DAC painting, I got a multiplacer tool, so I have to get over it and try it out. Thanks for the tips, Rachel 👍
YES RACHEL!!!!! Omg done some multiplacing whilst watching this lastnight and today I’m totally rocking it I’ve done so much more of my painting now as I always used a single placer it’s so much faster and more fun!🥰
thank you for doing this video. I started doing multiplacing by myself it was so nice to see that I was doing it correctly. I have been watching you for about six months and enjoy all. I am Irish by desent County Cork. I find you and your stories very relaxing and enjoyable and I have learned soooo much. Give Luna a pat and scratch behind her ears for me. You make this 76 year old beginner so happy. Love to you, Jim and Luna
Hi Rachel! I’ve been watching your videos for some time now and have always enjoyed them. Thank you for doing the multiplacing video! I have tried many times to do muliplacing and it just never seemed to work so I gave up. Thanks to you I decided to give it another go, and it worked so well! I’ve only gone has high as a 6 placer, but that’s progress to me! Thank you again, and keep on being you!
Thank you so much, I finally get it! I’ve been doing it one by one, due to it not working for me in multi placing, after I found this video, I went to my painting and now can multi place in a straight line, your an angel! Keep the videos coming, Thank you so much for even taking the time to make videos, I’ve learned so much off you and Mrs Coffee…since I’ve started my diamond painting career…lol..I’ve ruined a few diamond paintings when I first started, not knowing how to do them properly, now I’m doing them like a pro…
Thanks for the video Rachel. I’ve been really intimidated by using a multiplacer. I have huge canvases that I’ve been single placing because I feel like I have more control & precision with my placing. After watching your video, I’m gonna give it another try. Probably start with a 4 placer till I get the hang of it.
I wonder why you use the Quake Hold. This is a perfect timing for me as I'm doing my first square drill and there are a lot of areas that I can use the multiplacer. I'm learning but the tip about the direction of the tray and just watching how you sort of push the diamonds into place as you lay them is a game changer. Thank you!
Hi, I am completely new to diamond painting and loving it. Only on my fifth day. I have had a go at using the multi-placer pen and just cannot get used to it at all, I have a feeling that my first DP he’s going to be completed entirely with the single tool!
hi Rachel, 4-placer is definitely my favorite, although i tried a 6 placer like the one you used here last night, and it's a bit different, so a bit more practice I think is needed...but I simply could not just one place unless it's confetti, which I also love! I prefer both in one painting so I get a bit of both techniques! Take care:)
So I’m trying to multiplace. I used my 3 multiplayer today and was able to place two at a time!! It’s gonna take practice. I need to get the drills lined up better!!
This is helpful. I’ve experimented with trays with multiple sections, which limits space for drills, and for getting the drills aligned properly to be picked up by the multi-placer. So I guess it’s better to use a larger tray with one color??? Also, I’ve tried the curved multi-placers and I had better luck with them, but so far I’ve found only two sizes. Thank you for what you do Rachel!
Thank you some great tips. I was wondering about how you feel about multi placing white? I heard that we shouldn’t as the really show if they are not straight. I have several paintings that have white backgrounds and find doing one at a time very tedious.
Thanks for this tutorial, I never thought about aligning the tray to the direction of how I want to place the drills. I’m currently using a.4 placer, I can’t seem to get anything higher to work. The 4 placer also works well because I like canvases with a lot of confetti.
Hi Rachel, Please show how to refill a multi-placer with paddy wax. I have used the pink stuff that comes with the pictures and the blue tack. I would like to learn how to fill a multi-placer with the wax. I can fill a single but not a multi. Can it be done?? Pat
I just started my very first piece this afternoon. It’s easy and very relaxing! My first piece will be a Christmas gift so I’m pretty excited! I’ve watched your videos and you make it look so inviting! I do have one question. What is a good way to flatten a pic that comes rolled ? Thanks!
Hi Rachel, i first use only a 3 placer and checkerboard but then it makes squares of 3x3 very visible, noe i chande and use eg. a 3 and 9 placer to cover the open canvas and found it makes a big difference..... no open canvas (round drills) perhaps square drills vovers the canvas better?
I have to say, after i watched this video a few weeks ago, i started to look at diamond painting in a different way. Not only i got better at multi-placing, but I started to enjoy the small things more, like hearing the sound of a drill sticking to the canvas. Now it's about the process, not the end result. Thank you so much, Rachel!
My first painting were Square drills. They were not straight at all. I found that multi placing was hard.. My second painting is double sided tape. I tried to Multi pleasing and moving my diamonds they don’t move very easily if I had known it was sided tape I wouldn’t have got it. I’m going to try your trick and see it works for me.
Thank you for your tips! I do these steps, but I notice when I use anything bigger than a 4 or 5 placer, my drills don’t extend all the way to the last one. I do the rocking motion, with the one closest to me going down first, and I make sure that’s centered properly; it’s just the last one that is to be placed is never centered on the appropriate spot, always short. I then have to shift them all down individually. I wish I could use a bigger multiplacer for large color blocking but I can’t seem to rectify this.
Good morning rachel rae What a great vlog u have done again Im new hear and new at diamond painting and im so interested so thank u so much I have dyslexic and i think i can try to have a go at this as it looks so so pretty when u have done it Please can u answer some questions 4 me please as iv tryed b4 with no luck 4 reply Iv just receivedd my first ever diamond painting and its dolphins which i love but now its here im scared to start it in case i get it rong and put the diamonds in the rong place and i cant remove the diamond to somewheree else? Please can u tell me where is the best place to start it? Can u tell me is there enuff diamonds in each painting as i have a bad feeling that im going to get 2 the end and not have enuff to finish it off which i couldnt bear that? What do.it mean partial painting? Do u have an email as i have so many questions to ask u? Great vlog im so haappy i found ur vlog channel so thank u as my mum dad and 2 sosters died and i need to do something to take my mind off things Iv just liked ur vlog❤
Rachel, I love your channel. Thank you. I have a question, this DP is poured glue? I thought you have to use glue for poured glue. I'm new in this world jajajajaja. Thank you!
Hi rachel Great vlog Please can u answer my questions from b 4 as im so nervvus to start b4 i no things? I cant wait to start my new project they look amazing My diamond painting is dolphins and i cant wait 4 me to try it Thanks again❤
Rachel, I am working on my first Dac painting and it is called Nola. They are all different sizes and lots of them have bits of plastic in the sides. I took a picture and it looks like loose teeth. I know that is not normal for Dac paintings. I have bought a ton of paintings from there for a good stash. I just don’t know what to do. Would you contact diamond art club.? Did you ever pick a winner for the pretty creative succulents you were going to give away??
Due to back issues, I use a tilted easel to diamond paint. Because of the tilt, I have to hold my tray in my left hand as I diamond paint with my right. I can't exactly change the "direction" of my tray, so sometimes vertical multi-placing doesn't go so well 🙃. Any tips? Or should I just multi-place horizontally and call it a day 😆?
What kind of glue do you use? With the Pink glue that comes with the kit, I have to keep going back to the glue. I need a glue that lets me work more, instead of having to keep going to the glue every 5 minutes. ❤️
I am still of the stage in my diamond painting life where I don't want a multiplacer because my next paintings are still in the mail 😂 and I don't wanna finish it too quickly 🙈 The checkerboard method isn't for me, I just love placing them right next to each other and leaving a space makes my brain unsatisfied 😅 so I am one of these people. But I have only done rounds now, I don't "feel" the square diamonds. I feel like this super straight aligning would stress me out more than relax me, but well, I might try at some point because the straight diamond paintings are prettier :) Greets from Germany!
Hi, I'm curious about the 'boat' or drill tray you use. Did you purchase it or did it come with a kit? I'd be interested in on I find I multiplace quite alot & am constantly refilling as have a small boat. Thanks as allways v helpful.
Thanks for the video Rachel. I realy want to love multi placing but I really like straight diamonds lol How long did it take you to get the hang of it. I am finding that my 3 placer doesn't pick them up very straight so of course they won't go on straight. I have tried pressing against the side but still practicing. Does the multiplacer make a difference. Yours look great. 😀
Is there an advantage to using the quake wax? I find that when I use the multi's I spend more time straightening the diamonds then when I use the single placer. I will try it again as I have a couple diamond paintings that will take forever if I don't use one :)
If I shake it like that the diamonds go all over the place. I don’t even shake it hard. I have tried a three placer and have a hard time keeping the diamonds in the place nd when I place them they either not all come out or they will fall off.
Hey Rachel, I just want to ask you, how you rip the plastic foil which secures the painting. I saw in your "Jesus blessing" videos that you put some washi tape on in an pulled so you had several smaller parts. I tried it, but I couldn't rip it into sections. So what's the trick?
Hi. FIRST. THUNDER HERE. I got some dreamer design painting 4 my fav one is the grumpy cat. RIP TO THE REAL GRUNOY CAT HE DIED IN MAY 14 2019. I’m into single placing it’s faster for me and much straighter than multi placing
I'm using a 3 placer. I'm doing pretty good. I just have to line up the diamonds in the tray. That will help alot! Any tips will be appreciated! Thanks for your help! Dianna
@@RachelRaeCraft Great video for those of us just learning out to use a multiplacer. Do any of your videos show how to load the Blu Tac or Quake Hold into the multiplacer? Would love to see how you do that! Thanks!
I know this is an old comment, but just in case.... I've found that kinda smoothing them while still picking them up from the tray seems to help line them up the way you need them :) I hope you've figured out what works for you.
if it is done correctly and the glue is strong, no need to seal if you are framing. There are many great tutorials on YT on everything DPing. Not sure I would have ever given it a try w/o all the tutorials I watched.
The 4 placer is also my fave! It’s so satisfying
Slightly crooked diamonds don't bother me cos it seems more authentic, and that I've done it by hand. However I still try and put them straight!
Moving the tray makes sense and explains my wrist pain. Thank you so much for this
I do find Multiplacing intimidating. But you explained it in a way that makes it look easy to do, and I will attempt it next time I sit to work on my project. TY.
I think you'll love it!
I did a 30 x 40 in three sessions due to multiplacing. I absolutely love it! Now I am working on a 90 x 60 cm and multiplace wherever possible.
Even though this video is an old one, I used your suggestions with multiplacing and it worked! Fantastic! 😊
Glad it helped!
I love working with color but I'm not artistic so this I think I'll enjoy. Im Ocd but will have to guard against fretting. I'm ritualistic and I think that will be enjoyed here. I've done adult coloring for years. I'm getting so exciting
I love her soothing voice! is very relaxing how she explains and she teaches everything on video!
Been multi placing for months. Has been a game changer. If u get a bit wonky you can fix your rows with a straightener.
You know I had to subscribe right? So glad to find your channel haven't begun yet still doing research. Your channel has everything I need to start with clean habits something I love to do!
I am on my fourth project. I just started DP the last couple of weeks. I tried multi-placing for the first time yesterday. Thanks for the tips.
I never understood what the multiplacer was for so i threw them out. Now waiting for some new paintings to arrive to get new multiplacers to try
Hi Rachel. I am french canadian from Montreal so my english may be a little off. I have discovered dp and you yesterday and i have been watching you ever since. You relax me so much. Will be getting my first kit delivered on thursday. I just can't wait. Thank you for all that you do. Take care.
Cool. Nice to see you can pick up 1. Or 2. Or even more with that tool. Just precision. And practise.
My mom is getting her very first diamond art club diamond painting and this will be her very first time doing it and all of your tutorials and this video will help her understand it plus with me loving to do diamond painting I get to help her to ,this is going to be a lot of help for her

Wow, this video was so soothing 🥰
That was very informative, looks like I’m going to try this very soon, I have a sky in my next painting!

I’m new to diamond painting and I love it

Love the picture of the diamond painting. Thanks for all the tips
I'm going to have to try multi placing again. Thanks for the tips.
TY for this video you and Mrs Coffee have helped me a lot with learning multi placing. It hasn't come easy for me.
Thank you. This has helped a lot. 😊

They will line up when you fill the area with more diamonds! 😊
You make it look easy. Thank you.

Oo love that video, ive only managed a 3 placer, trying to copy Mrs coffee lol Thankyou Rachel xx
Thank you some great tips. I was wondering about how you feel about multi placing white? I heard that we shouldn’t as the really show if they are not straight. I have several paintings that have white backgrounds and find doing one at a time very tedious.

Yes!
I find 4placers fine to use but any bigger ones I cant seem to get on with. They dont seem to sit straight.
Hi Rachel, Please show how to refill a multi-placer with paddy wax. I have used the pink stuff that comes with the pictures and the blue tack. I would like to learn how to fill a multi-placer with the wax. I can fill a single but not a multi. Can it be done??
Pat
This video came just at the right time, I'm ordering a 10 placer and I definitely need tips 😅
I can only multiplace the rounds and loving the 4 placer too!
Hi Rachel, great tutorial👌
I have to say, after i watched this video a few weeks ago, i started to look at diamond painting in a different way. Not only i got better at multi-placing, but I started to enjoy the small things more, like hearing the sound of a drill sticking to the canvas. Now it's about the process, not the end result.
Thank you so much, Rachel!
That's great to hear! I'm glad you're enjoying it. 😊
What is confetti and colour blocking
Is this Quakehold putty better than the Blu-tack please ? i find the blu-tack hard to get in the pen ..Thank you :)
I have found that Bees wax is my favorite so far. I’ll have to try this putty. I have tried the poster tack is that the same as museum putty?
It's a similar consistency in my opinion
I'm making my first square painting is there a right way to place square drills?? I'm having a lot of trouble placing my drills. Any suggestions?
Great vlog :) just going to try it now as i do singles. so thank you for sharing :) xx
Good morning rachel rae

How do you protect your hand and wristt from pain and overuse from repetitive movements while DP?
Hi Rachel. Do u find the quake hold putty to be better than the pink wax? I’d never heard of it before Thanks for your vids 👍
Thank you for the tips
Rachel, I love your channel. Thank you. I have a question, this DP is poured glue? I thought you have to use glue for poured glue. I'm new in this world jajajajaja. Thank you!
What would u do for a bad river.that is bubbling the back of the canvas

My diamond painting is dolphins and i cant wait 4 me to try it

Rachel, I am working on my first Dac painting and it is called Nola. They are all different sizes and lots of them have bits of plastic in the sides. I took a picture and it looks like loose teeth. I know that is not normal for Dac paintings. I have bought a ton of paintings from there for a good stash. I just don’t know what to do. Would you contact diamond art club.?
Did you ever pick a winner for the pretty creative succulents you were going to give away??
Use the good ones as you should have enough spares. I would contact Dac as well and let them know. 😀
Don't u derstand the checker board method
Due to back issues, I use a tilted easel to diamond paint. Because of the tilt, I have to hold my tray in my left hand as I diamond paint with my right. I can't exactly change the "direction" of my tray, so sometimes vertical multi-placing doesn't go so well 🙃. Any tips? Or should I just multi-place horizontally and call it a day 😆?
What kind of glue do you use? With the Pink glue that comes with the kit, I have to keep going back to the glue. I need a glue that lets me work more, instead of having to keep going to the glue every 5 minutes. ❤️
Ivey tried placing them horizontal but it always comes out crooked. I do better multiplacing vertically. TFS ❤
Great tutorial.🤗
I am still of the stage in my diamond painting life where I don't want a multiplacer because my next paintings are still in the mail 😂 and I don't wanna finish it too quickly 🙈
The checkerboard method isn't for me, I just love placing them right next to each other and leaving a space makes my brain unsatisfied 😅 so I am one of these people.
Love love looove the sound of wax. ASMR video, perhaps? 💖💖💖
I find the squares to end up more unaligned than circles. And it does drive me crazy! 😂
hi i would like to know where to order new pens with mulit placers and the glue
Do you find it easier to go from light colors to dark in a group like that or whatever symbols are easier to see?
Is there an advantage to using the quake wax? I find that when I use the multi's I spend more time straightening the diamonds then when I use the single placer. I will try it again as I have a couple diamond paintings that will take forever if I don't use one :)
How do put wax in the muti placer and keep it in?
Do you suggest any wax in the US from Amazon?
Love your vids!
Is there a special way to place the head of the diamond placer on the pen, or just push it on?
Just push it on. If it's loose, I use a little washi tape (or hot glue) to keep it in.
If I shake it like that the diamonds go all over the place. I don’t even shake it hard. I have tried a three placer and have a hard time keeping the diamonds in the place nd when I place them they either not all come out or they will fall off.
I have had drills not leave the placer and some go on canvas. Some get stuck in placer.
Just started trying a multiplacer....
Where can I get a 2 placer? I'm just learning. I need to practice. Thank you.
etsy has them :)
I'm using a 3 placer. I'm doing pretty good. I just have to line up the diamonds in the tray. That will help alot! Any tips will be appreciated! Thanks for your help! Dianna
I would love to buy some museum putty where can I buy it?
I found it on Amazon.
What wax would you recommend for a multiplacer? 🙂🙂🙂
I use pink wax, Blu tac, paddywaxx original, or quake hold!
@@RachelRaeCraft Great video for those of us just learning out to use a multiplacer. Do any of your videos show how to load the Blu Tac or Quake Hold into the multiplacer? Would love to see how you do that! Thanks!
I like multi placing. Mainly 3-6 placers
Squares seem to mutiplace differently, I just cant get the hang of them.
I know this is an old comment, but just in case.... I've found that kinda smoothing them while still picking them up from the tray seems to help line them up the way you need them :) I hope you've figured out what works for you.
I finally finished my first diamond painting. I want to seal and frame it for my boyfriend. Does anyone have any tips and tricks to seal and frame? :)
if it is done correctly and the glue is strong, no need to seal if you are framing. There are many great tutorials on YT on everything DPing. Not sure I would have ever given it a try w/o all the tutorials I watched.
Is the quakehold good ??
Yes
