When using the tip in tip out method, to combat the drill baby syndrome, I keep the current color And the last two in a tray. I just pop the container with drills in the tray and set it aside. My Biggest and most loved tip for confetti is to use a tray shelf and keep them ALL in trays. The only tipping is to replenish until I’m done. And I use big trays when I can so I’m less likely to spill.
Thank you so much. I am new at diamond painting and you helped me immensely. Still have lots to learn. I can’t wait to watch the rest of your videos. I couldn’t figure out what everyone was talking about confetti and you made it so simple for me. Thank you again.😊
I am so glad this helped! I know we are adding people to this wonderful craft all the time and I try to remember what it was like when I started! You are so sweet to watch and comment! You’ve inspired me to do some more instructional videos for folks just getting into this! Thank you again and have a great week!💕💕
I find i get burnout now and again where i dont touch my Dp for a few days then i feel guility its normally on big dps with loads of confetti i like ur tips and they have helped me out big time ty
I've only just recently subscribed to your channel and was wondering when I had encoundered you before. Looking back, when I found this one, I see I never thanked you for these tips! It was SO early in my diamond painting journey I barely even knew what confetti was, much less that it is just good etiquette to thank a content creator for this kind of value! So thank you!!! Your tips hold even more value for me now that I am hopelessly addicted to this craft. I might have thanked you during one of your recent videos but just in case I didn't, thank you!💜🧚🏼♀️💜
Oh my gosh! You are so sweet to do that! I do this to share my journey and help fellow diamond painters along the way so this makes me so happy!! I’m now hearing from people who diamond painters on a slant so I’m trying to find something that can mark symbols on a slant! Stay tuned!!💕💕
Thank you, Cara, for this video. I just happened upon it at the best time because I am currently doing a confetti heavy canvas and was starting to get a little frustrated. I just started diamond painting a couple months ago and love it. Your tips will help me immensely when I continue with it…persevere is the motto…slow and steady.🥰
Hi Carra (and Marlon), I love confetti but that’s not why I’m commenting! One way to get through confetti faster in your little section is to start with the darkest color first and then the next darkest and so on. That’s just my two cents. I hope it helps. Take care. 💜 Dawn
Hah I wish I had seen you when I started I'm new to this craft but I did figure some of this out on my own. This should be mandatory in a beginners video.
Very helpful tips! You described things in a way, I would have never been able to. I use all of your methods, and have found the work great for me as well. There are people that teach well, and people that don’t. I’m not a very good teacher, because I sometimes struggle with HOW to describe it. You did an amazing job, to make it easier for others to learn by example.😍
Even tho i knew all of these since ive been diamond painting for a long time. I enjoyed this video a lot. Was very entertaining and nice to watch. These tips will be very helpful for anyone who hasn’t been diamond painting for long 😄🙌
Hey there Carra!! Thank you for sharing this helpful video!! One thing I have learned about myself is I really enjoy confetti, but it also causes me grief, lol When I begin an area, I attempt to locate the most populated symbol. Now... I am going to start concentrating on the small area and stop "trailing" and stay in the area. Instead of sitting there and pushing myself till I doze off and my rear goes numb, I will begin setting a timer to alert myself to get up and rest my eyes and move some blood. I have watched this a couple of times and again I can't thank you enough!! YES!! you have definitely helped me . I have a question, when you diamond paint with using the baggies, how do you handle the drills when they jump out at you. Personally, I don't work out of baggies, but it also takes me a good day to kit up. Between despising the process and trying to get the drier sheets in the containers, it literally takes me a full day. Actually, I don't despise the process if there is not static, but anymore it seems there is always static. Just wondered....sorry for the chapter book. Take care sweet diamond painting friend!!💕💕
I’ve discovered Static Guard spray. It works like a charm! It just takes a quick spray. I spray in the bag itself and spray my tray and wipe it down with a dryer sheet. It takes a few minutes to dry a little, but it works perfectly. It’s a spray you can find on the detergent aisle of a grocery store, Walmart or Target. I’m sure Amazon has it as well! Hope this helps!
Thank you for the video. I have experienced most of what you mentioned and your hints to help. The tweezer for place holding was one I can definitely use. Some things a person may already subconsciously know but bringing this knowledge to the fore can also help us make changes to be more efficient and happier in doing different aspects of a painting. I appreciate the information. Peace and love abide with you 💕
Thank you so much. I've only done 2 pieces so far and I struggled with the confetti but your tips make so much sense and I will approach my next project better prepared. ❤
I really like the tweezer tip. I’m always finding lone symbols in confetti or ones that I just simply missed in a section and then losing where it was. I think I’m gonna try marking with my tweezers next time. ❤❤
That was a great video. I really liked the tip about the tweezers, and I am also what I call a pot picker. I always kit up in containers, so hence the name pot picker when I only need one drill, 😆
Thank you I love confetti but the one I am doing now is really confetti. I have taken more breaks on this one than others. I just started sectioning off in smaller squares and it does help. Thanks for all the helpful tips you gives us.
Hi Carra working on a very confeffit heavy canvas for Mermaids and Magic. Great tips and reminders. I don't cover my canvas with release papers but I pull back the cover and work on a small section. It's not a race it a craft to be enjoyed and trust the process. Thank you.
This was great Carra! I do almost all the things you talked about. Breaks are a great way to get through areas that might get to be too much! I use release papers and even them out a row at a time!
Hi Cara, I am new to diamond art painting. I have never heard of diamond painting confetti. Is the confetti the name of the (type of) gem you are working with? I have picked up many tips from your videos. I am 66 years old and have never had a hobby of any kind. This is amazing!! Thank you so much for all your tips and making it all easy to understand. I don't do Facebook or Instagram because I do not know how. lol That is a beautiful piece you are working on. I look forward to viewing all your videos.
Hi there! I’m so happy you found me! So when we refer to “confetti” we mean a whole bunch of different symbols and colors mixed together on the canvas which means you will be changing colors of drills a lot more often. On the other hand, color blocking is when you have an area of all one color and can place drills a lot faster. Confetti is needed in canvases, however to get little details to look better. I hope that makes sense!
Should start at top and work down. See how you're bending the bottom left corner? Because you're leaning on it. Roll up the parts you're done or switch to working at top
Great Video! Most of these tips have recently dawned on me as well, especially now that I’m too working on a very heavy confetti painting called “Sir Frederick Fox” by Calming Canvas Designs. The tip that has helped me more than any others though is to use Release Papers and section off a smaller (than you think you would need) area to work on at a time! It definitely makes you feel a sense of accomplishment when you get each section done and helps you realize your progress. More than that, it helps to enable you to see ALL of the symbols so you don’t have any new ones born that minute you look away! BTW, love this analogy! LOL!
As one who loves confetti, I to use these techniques because it’s overwhelming at times, I love watching the painting come to life

I loved the tweezer tip! I ALWAYS lose those babies after putting a drill on my pen!

Thanks for the tips. I enjoy suggestions on how to work more efficiently.

Hi! All those are great tips! I'm a rather quick diamond painter and use all of them, minus the tweezer one. I leave the lonely symbols for last.
Very helpful! Thank u and enjoyed your upbeat personality! I think i may challenge you as the slowest diamond painter, though! 😊
I do most of them. I can add one to your list. I tend to lay out the colors for the section I'm in. If I see it in the next section I leave it out.
Great suggestion! Thanks so much!!

Very helpful and useful. I loose the symbols ALL THE TIME😂. Also the stand out symbol was key. Thank you.
Use the tweezers to grab one or two drills out of bag for the babies instead of dumping any out

Thanks for all the helpful tips! As a relatively new painter I love hearing how others do things.
Tutorials are most helpful and nice to see. Such a beautiful canvas design! Will check out Distracted by Diamonds.
I use most of your tips. You validated me!! I thought i was the only fisher of drills and such. Thank you
Great tips friend! Yes, everything you mentioned helps out so much. I also have this kit. Its stunning.
Still very helpful 1 year later. New Diamond painter. ❤
@@PoseyLane I’m so glad you are here! And..you are never late! You are just in time! Welcome to The Painter Household! 💕💕
I love confetti. I always section off with release papers. I like Harbor Freight containers because they are easy to dip into for just one drill.

I love the tweezers trick to mark your spot. Currently tackling Virgo Josephine Wall, confetti fun. Thank you for the video
Currently doing a confetti heavy distracted by diamonds painting lol
All fantastic tips! Thank you!💖💖
I enjoyed your video! I'm really slow. I started DAC's Magical Tree right after Halloween and I am about 3/4 of the way through:)
This was very helpful. Thanks ❤
I feel the same as you. I look at my section thinking I got all of a certain color and put it away and soon after find another one.
Lol! I know! It happens to me all the time!!💕💕
Very helpful video! Loved it Carra, thank you!
That was a great video. I really liked the tip about the tweezers, and I am also what I call a pot picker. I always kit up in containers, so hence the name pot picker when I only need one drill, 😆

This was great Carra! I do almost all the things you talked about. Breaks are a great way to get through areas that might get to be too much! I use release papers and even them out a row at a time!
Yes! The release papers I do one or two sections ahead, so I like you doing the row! I’m going to try that!!

Confetti is better then tons and tons of color blocking.
