They made it perfect. If it was any louder, I'd be uninterested. That loud exhaust "thing" is definitely for young people that want to impress others. For me, I love the luxury, combined with somewhat understated M power and looks. I think if you want that, you should get the full M. I hope they don't listen to you. I love...love, love this car. It is perfection. Exactly the way I want it.
I undestand and agree. Although a bit more sound from sportmode couldn't be wrong.

That's a unique sound of a BMW, just like the loud version of my boys toy car with new batteries....love the BMW sound it's very unique...until I hear the AMG 63 or 65 sound and am like I could listen to that the whole day.......
The only thing missing is the panorama sunroof.
on the m550i xdrive 2018 do I need to buy the dynamic handling package if so, what's the purpose of it?
I think it's crazy how people put all these videos of them doing reviews of cars rather than just saying what their first impressions of the car after only owning or having the car for only a day or a week. Of course it should be good, let see how much the car changes when BMW does there LCI change
Hi Fella, I am new to your channel and I truly enjoyed this BMW M550i review. I thought you had been a bit mean with the looks score of 7 I would give it a 8.5 I am slowly starting to Love the 550i Xdrive it's a under the radar car like the Audi S cars and to some extent the RS model as any onlooker would think Audi A6 Avant missing the RS Badge but that's a road weapon and what a monster I look forward to more reviews and will continue to follow your work. Kind Regards Alan B. P.S In a straight line would this have a good chance against RS or S models as the Audi Quattro system is one of the best if not the best in 4 wheel drive systems.

Great review @Carvlogger! Enjoyed your Streetgasm reviews also, looked like a great time. I've ordered my M550i with almost the same config. In Canada, we call that color "carbon black". Black with blue hue so it looks blue in sun. Only difference is mine has the double spoke 668M rims, so I'm hoping it will give it a more aggressive look as seen here - www.motor1.com/news/133167/bmw-550i-xdrive-pricing-announced/

I love everything about this, but the look is dated and conservative. BMW needs to bite the bullet and get aggressive with their design. Great review bro..

Ed Vall BMW will deserve it for the M5. But in generally it is a bit conservative, in my opinion it looks very nice.
Yes it does, and I am thinking of leasing one here in California.
Don't expect BMW to change the design language that drastically like some other auto manufacturers. It's a company that has a long history, and it needs to protect its identity through consistency and keeping up with the tradition. Let's say they will change their design direction dramatically right now. And we all know any revolutionary designs get old even faster. Then what are they going to do? Go for another drastic change taking the risk of losing their identity? No, it wouldn't be a wise idea to do that.
UltraSupra, I agree and I know there are dedicated fun base for every brand. Honestly they should protect their brand, but I was just referring to this particular new M model. Still I like it and it is a beast. I will lease one in a couple of months when my current lease is up.

Its too big and heavy. I had a 535i F11. I preferb the 440i.
It's heavy indeed, but that gives you the limousine comfort. If you want a bit more driving machine, indeed a smaller car is the way to go.
drive before u judge. I drove a 440i Gran Coupe and 540i back to back. It was night and day! 5 Series felt lighter, way more agile, way more luxurious... i was shocked
