    “Diaphragmatic deep breathing” - access the vagus nerve which is connected to many parts in our body and DDB has been researched to be one of the most rapid ways to deactivate your fight or flight and activate your relaxation response. When you breathe in your nose, your belly should expand and when you breathe out through your mouth, your belly should deflat. One example: breath in through your nose for a count of 4, hold your breath for a count of 4 and exhale through your mouth for a count of 6, 7, 8 or longer. The exhale needs to be longer than the inhale.
