that is interesting. I have definitely seen iron deficiencies in cannabis. never seen manganese toxicity. But primary reason to add extra "calmag" usually is for the additional iron, imo. Interveinal chlorosis of new growth, greens right up with some extra iron in a foliar spray. so I assumed iron deficiency.?
so glad to hear the new info and it's been too long since I have heard from youi. You always help my grow knowledge. side by sides come on man. He got there using lots of testing/ Just watched some great videos on pottasium and manganese.
always interesting and informative videos, but I honestly don't understand this obstinacy in stating that HPS heat up more than LEDs... A properly made HPS setup always includes the cooltube, which being directly connected to the air extraction, takes the hot air produced by the lamp out of the growroom instantly, on the contrary LEDs even if they heat up less, the hot air produced will remain in the growroom causing the total temperature to increase. With the cooltube and a hps600w you can bring the plants even 10cm from the glass without them getting burned. It seems to me that this issue of temperature is just a marketing ploy created 20 years ago by manufacturers to sell the new product, given the extremely higher costs of LEDs compared to HPS, but the yield, arguably, is hardly equal to HPS at the same wattage...
Wait , did you guys mean PH and not EC? In Bruce’s how to grow cannabis video he said to water in at 1.3EC I usually do 1.6 with good results but now you guys are really saying 6EC have I missed something ?
How to lower ? Nitrogen is main macronutrient, all other elements are not needed in that amount. The number that you see on bottles in flowering are not with lower N , those are ratios they just pump unnecessary P and K so they can sell you another bottle . Multiple studies shown more N bigger yield , more yield bigger mass and less concentrated secondary metabolism ( canabinoids and terpens ) , 150 N ppm is golden spot where u match production and quality. Most companies are in those range , Athena is running 150ppm N too in their formula
Calcium is needed more to grow stems and leaves. You wanna grow buds in flower so not making it put effort into up taking calcium should let it use that energy towards bud growth . So I could see having less calcium as a benefit in flower when it need more magnesium n not calcium. There’s gotta be proof of this somewhere
@@odaharryCalcium is the main component needed to make pectin which is a glue that connects cell walls. You need Calcium unless you want to argue that plants don't increase biomass weight during flowering which they do a lot. Considering Botrytis the only way to prevent it is controlled environment (humidity, VPD, air circulation) or chemical fungicide. Organic fungicides just don't work. You need quality fungicide that is systemic since Botrytis is a systemic disease, it attacks the plant from within the buds. Systemic fungicide enters the plant tissue and spreads inside the entire plant even in the new shoots. Can't be washed off after 1-2 few hours after application. Organics can't do that. It only kills spores that are outside on the leaves/buds but spores are everywhere in the air, it won't do much after it dries out. Once a spore enters the plant (via damaged parts of the leaves) it travels through the stem and tries to find spots with the best condition = humidity (big colas), than you're screwed. If you want to go chemical I recommend Switch (from Swiss company Syngenta), it's probably the most effective fungicide out there designed specifically for Botrytis. It's certified as very safe (last application 3-10 days before harvest) and it's used in the US, Australia or New Zeland.
You're definitely a good guest but modern large ag uses precision soil mapping tech and applicators to apply Phosphorus where needed in as limited quantities as possible. Most of those algae blooms are caused by construction moving materials down hill. Phosphorus isn't very mobile.

He mentions it's mostly cbd hemp type. I'm willing to bet they don't grow any high THC anything, even in research in Utah. But, there are some wicked looking CBD strains out there.
I talked to the owner of a grow shop that sold FOOP she had it on clearance. She says you have to use alot of it compared to other brands nutes so a large bottle runs quick. I believe she said it's good nutes tho...I use their foliar spray and highly recommend it.
