I have a FN 2 Type R 2007 model in Sydney love my car well serviced all the time 16 years old now and going strong a True Coupe not like the new Honda now a joke Pink color seats etc not a True Sports Car like the FN,just had my Bushes changed in the rear today wow looks great the front end was done 5 months ago they make a big difference indeed.
Do they really improve ride comfort? I love my fn2 to bits but I honestly wince when I hit bumps/potholes to the point I'm thinking of selling. It's not a car that inspires confidence on long distance journeys everytime thinking something has broken when going over terrain normal cars wouldn't even notice. Going to try this and maybe throwing some 16/17 inch wheels and chunkier tyres...
They tighten up the handling no end and really sharpen up the car. Although if your replacing any bush over old bushes you'd see a vast improvement The only thing I hear about polys is that they can dry out and start squeeking so need lots of lubricant on these Hardrace is a good alternative and is more complaint than polys and will last life of car & no squeeks or noise
Hello there where did u order your new beam from and how much was it? And what front wishbone bushes did u end up getting and did they make a difference?
So difficult to tell, some say they are amazing and some say you need new fillings after fitting them. Do you think just replacing with OEM would be even better, i.e much better than the old ones but a bit less like concrete?
Yeah I was expecting it to be really hard. But it’s almost like when driving normally it almost feels German comfort level.😂. But when you Pick the pace up in the bends you feel how solid They are not as much body roll ect.
Powerflex bushes (purple ones) are more orientated to street, they're actually surprisingly pliable in the hand and really enhanced the quality of my ride. The race series are black and definitely not what you want for dailying. I was also worried about them being too form but was pleasantly surprised!
@@StealthBrotherz Im at a point where i need to replace mine. At 13 years old ( but only 103k since new), they have gradually worn out, so i become accustomed to the slow increase in hard, harsh rear end. So should i replace with OEM which should feel much better. Or the power-flex ones and hope the ride isn't harsh. Decisions, decisions.
Although fitting them yourself is doable if you can get the entire rear end off the ground, as said here they can be a bugger to remove if you're unlucky. The fitting for the Universal Bushing tool is apparently not quite the right size for these, and some have had to fabricate their own. I started to do mine myself, but my then Halfords Jack didn't have the reach to get the Stands under both sides, so I reluctantly took it to get done. Was on the weekend and I had some bad lateral play, felt really dangerous going anything ove...ahem... Anywhere close to 70. Cost me £215 or something as they said they had to remove the whole beam, which was bollocks cos I fit new suspension a while later and the rear brake lines hadn't been removed at all. Went and got myself a proper Jack to carry on the works with the car after that but they may or may not have saved me a headache, who knows 😂
