@ OK so I have a problem every time I step on the break there’s a alarm goes off nothing shows up on the dash and my turn signals are moving really fast left and right side. I thought it may have been a light relay, but I can’t find it I’ve looked up under the fuse box underneath the steering wheel can’t find it. Would you be able to help me out with that or your thoughts I have a Dodge ram 1500 2007 3.7 L.
My first thought is one of 2 things, first being the easiest one, you could have brake lamp bulbs that are out and those are pretty simple to check and 2 if the bulbs are good it could be a problem with the brake lamp switch. That is just what pops into my head right off the bat.
Thanks for the instructional video, I was got to cut the connection that goes in the original socket, didn't know what it was for due to no instruction manual. You saved my investment man.
Much appreciated. I just got a 16 RT but because of surgery I can't go under my truck so I'm loading up on parts until they clear me..excellent video..thanks again
Hey boss question I am trying to do the connection but it’s hard to get the connection did you used any lights bulb lube or anything to make the connection??
Thanks bro I couldn’t find how to take the socket out. The biggest pain was getting the clips back on and I’m not even sure if I did it right but they’re holding so 🤷♂️
Ok, question. The part where you plug into the bulb housing area right. Is that part exposed? Do you need to apply electrical tape? I see that you pulled the bulb out. That won't cause any shorts?
I agree looking back at it and I honestly appreciate when people point things out to me like that because some things I overlook but I can honestly tell you that these things are impressive
Thank you!! It sounds to me like your truck need a resistor installed in line of those lights to get the resistance values back to where a standard bulb would be I'm order to get that light to go out.
Did you figure out a resolution or just got use to them? Thinking of getting a set..i assumed it would give more backup light which is reason i want em.. thx for feedback and vid.
Sweet I like the idea might have to get them my 3rd led brake light does same thing have you found a solution so it comes off thanks for sharing the video
I might have actually, I need to get my hands on the parts but basically you have to put a resister on the ground side of the light. I should be making that video soon i hope.
Looking at the amount of rust on the under side of your truck, you should tape the connectors and wrap them in loom to protect them from salt other corrosive materials. Also your buddy’s Halogens are just dirty and old. My stock halogens light my plate up much better than his🤣
I am also a Oregonian and I just wanna say your videos have helped me out a hell of a lot thank you
Thank you for that I really appreciate it! It’s always nice to hear from someone local.

@@Cargill450 Indeed. Just installed them, took all of 10 minutes, so much better!

Just got mine can wait to put them on and great video you really broke it down 👍🏽👍🏽
Thank you I'm glad I could help and your going to like the lights!
Hey boss question I am trying to do the connection but it’s hard to get the connection did you used any lights bulb lube or anything to make the connection??
You can, a little dielectric grease definitely wouldn't hurt anything
@@Cargill450 Appreciate it boss thanks 🙏🏽
Same here thanks Cargill450
Thanks bro I couldn’t find how to take the socket out. The biggest pain was getting the clips back on and I’m not even sure if I did it right but they’re holding so 🤷♂️
Haha hey man thats half the battle💁🏼♂️ I hope it all holds up for you.
Wait, who the heck wants to HELP the cops see their license plate!? Just kidding. Great video, as always.
😂😂😂 they actually do a good job of washing the plate out with light.
Bright af I got two sets for my mega cabs
I really really like them
Thanks for showing this on your video
I'm glad I could help
@@Cargill450 yes you really did, enjoy your day buddy
Installing mine now. Thanks man.
You bet!
I just installed mine yesterday and love them!
They are pretty impressive
THANKS your video it helped a great deal
Thank you for the support! I'm glad I was able to help
Thanks man I’m installing those sane LED’s now but I got the smoked lenses
Ok, question. The part where you plug into the bulb housing area right. Is that part exposed? Do you need to apply electrical tape? I see that you pulled the bulb out. That won't cause any shorts?
Do the resistors supposed to get hot
Or not please help
They will get pretty hot
@@Cargill450 ok thanks
Great detailed video ,thanks !
Glad it was helpful!
That little box is a driver for the LED with a built in resistor
To be fair you're parked in the light lol but I have the same lights very nice, good vid!
😂😂 details
Agreed. The comparison should have been side by side, in the same light.
I agree looking back at it and I honestly appreciate when people point things out to me like that because some things I overlook but I can honestly tell you that these things are impressive
@@Cargill450 Glad to help. And I agree, they are impressive. I have installed mine.
Thanks for the video, I installed mine on my 2020 classic and now it’s saying my rear brake light is out.. any way around this?
Thank you!! It sounds to me like your truck need a resistor installed in line of those lights to get the resistance values back to where a standard bulb would be I'm order to get that light to go out.
@@Cargill450 the lights I installed both had resistors that I plugged into the new lights.. maybe my brake light is just out or the resistor is bad?
Could be either one honestly, I would double check all the lights first and then maybe go after the resistors
@@Cargill450 okay cool, thanks man!
i replaced all my lights - head lights, tail lights, fog lights, license plate lights, with Morimoto LEDs. My truck looks younger!
I bet that looks damn good
@@Cargill450yeah looks way better. I do most of my driving at night and I can see way better than in stock halogens.
I have the same exact license plate lights and 3rd brake light. The brake light stays dimly lit for about 3-5 minutes after leaving my truck.
I have a video on how to fix that third brake light. 😉
Where did you get your 3rd brake light at?
I found it on Amazon but it's already starting the yellow unfortunately
@@Cargill450 dang I thought about getting a go recon 3rd brake light i bought there strobe smoked cab lights really impressed with them super bright!
I need to buy the actual recon brand, I will change it when I order their tail lights
@@Cargill450 recon might be more expensive but you pay for what you get though buy stuff when they do sales i save $70 on the cab lights
You get what you pay for absolutely, their stuff is really really good I was just being cheap at the time.
My truck has a metal plate riveted on the backside of the bumper so we can’t get at those clips to get the light out.. I am ☹️
is it something that someone put there to try to keep mud out?
Are these brighter then just changing the bulb?
Way way brighter, my backup camera is useless now, I need to figure something out because it whites out the screen.....
Did you figure out a resolution or just got use to them? Thinking of getting a set..i assumed it would give more backup light which is reason i want em.. thx for feedback and vid.
Yeah I ended up moving my backup camera to the tailgate handle and everything is great now
Very helpful thank you
I ordered these and it didn’t come with the resisters
they might have built in resistors
Do you do work out of your garage ?
Yea sometimes, I dont have a shop or anything yet so I do all of my truck stuff out of my garage.
thanks brother!!
Sweet I like the idea might have to get them my 3rd led brake light does same thing have you found a solution so it comes off thanks for sharing the video

Sweet sounds good for sure if you can make a video that would be awesome thanks so much I appreciate it
Just installed them on mine. But when your riding dirty you'd probably wanna go with the stock😂
Haha absolutely!!
Thanks perfect explanation step by step video take care.
I love my led plate lights
Its just a nice touch
@@Cargill450 im trying to go full led
