Got one installed was going good then accidentally snapped the wires off gotta wait for another set of these to come in lol -good installation vid though very helpful
Just put these in last night on my 2500. Once they came on they were bright. It was a pain putting them in though. The clips were awkward putting back in once taken out. But worth the work to do it. Did not need any tools to do it.
0:36 yeah and I have a fully chrome rear bumper even with the "OEM tag lights" he couldn't read it because his spot light was reflecting in my bumper. When he pulled me over because he couldn't get an actual read and told me my bumper was too shiny. I mentioned, I haven't actually polished the bumper in about 3 months... so yeah, thats a reason TO swap to LEDs lol
Wish they made these for my gladiator. The factory LED license plate lights are freaking blinding, to the point that the backup camera gets washed out at night.
Update: after applying wd-40 and some elbow grease, I was able to wiggle the metal tabs out and finally upgraded from halogen to LEDs. It’s like night and day! LED is crisp and bright.

Use a high heat tint spray. Or tint vinyl.
Yeah I bought the smoked ones for the 5th gens love them
With these, does the entire assembly have to be replaced when the bulb blows?
Do you have an email to reach out to you for a question or possibility a idea?
I don’t care how bright my license plate lights are I don’t have anything to hide 😂
in fact newer cars have LEDs for tag lights and even they shine on the road at night just like the LED tail lights.
I have a rare novelty plate which I want to show off 😅
Need one of those for the 1998-2003 Dakota as well. I have led ones but too bright and makes my rear view camera get washed out.
I was just thinking about these. My led bulbs are now flickering.
My tab is stuck
